Felix was blasted back by Hydrox's torrent, crashing into a tree trunk. "Hahahahaha!" Hydrox cackled. "I knew it'd be easy to sniff out a wolf boy and his friend," he sneered. Konno raced to Felix's side. "Are you alright?" Konno asked, extending a hand. "Yeah, just a lucky shot," Felix grunted, clutching his chest as he staggered to his feet.
"Huh, I'm surprised you got up from that," Hydrox mused. "Impressive. Most would be out cold after that barrage."
Felix squared his shoulders. "Maybe you've been a gem warrior for too long if you underestimate us."
Hydrox snorted derisively. "Don't make me laugh, boy. You have no potential as fighters, just cowards!"
Konno and Felix exchanged a resolute look. "We'll show him," Konno muttered. Felix nodded.
In a flash, the boys leapt from the shrubbery toward Hydrox and Yashiro, who slid into fighting stances.
"Took you long enough to slink out of those bushes," Hydrox taunted. "You could've surrendered faster than that!"
"We won't hand ourselves over," Konno declared, eyes blazing.
"Then we'll do this the hard way," Hydrox growled.
Yashiro unleashed a flurry of kicks at Konno, who nimbly evaded them, deflecting each strike. But one glowing blue kick broke through his guard, knocking him down. As he rose, Konno's aura flared, transforming him into a hobgoblin hybrid. "I am Atrox the Light Hobgoblin!" he bellowed.

He launched himself at Yashiro with a blazing knee, cracking her defenses. She crumpled. But Hydrox was behind Konno in a flash, felling him with a chop.
Meanwhile, Felix threw a punch that Hydrox easily caught, laughing. "This will be effortless," he crowed, then pummeled Felix relentlessly until he lay dazed against a tree.
As Hydrox meditated smugly, Yashiro regained her footing, circling Konno warily. When she unleashed another flurry of kicks, this time Konno anticipated her moves, ducking and blocking until he could transform again into Atrox. His shining knee found its mark, and Yashiro collapsed. But Hydrox struck the fatal chop once more, downing Konno.
"What will you do now, wolf boy?" Hydrox jeered as the moon rose. Felix struggled to transform, his aura fizzling out. Then Hydrox released his own aura, a maelstrom whipping through the forest. He shifted into a water dragon hybrid, bombarding Felix with explosive water balls. Felix desperately tried to dodge the relentless assault until one blast caught him, sending him spinning like a ragdoll, his gi in tatters.
As Hydrox gloated, the full moon crested the sky. "It's time," Jared told the other fighters. After ordering them to engage Hydrox, they were quickly demolished by the water dragon's might.
Jared helped the battered Felix up. "We have to try," he urged. Felix shook his head resignedly. But Jared bowed to Hydrox, only to be battered back by a penalty for his late arrival.
"Two more lambs to the slaughter," Hydrox sneered.
"Not today," Jared growled, aura flaring as he transformed into a wyvern hybrid. The rivals attacked in sync, but Hydrox evaded their blows, beating them down mercilessly.
As Jared struggled up, Hydrox struck him twice in a flash. But Felix intercepted Hydrox's next deadly blow meant for Jared.
Jared retreated, charging his hands with static electricity. His uppercut barely phased Hydrox, but Felix's heel kick snapped his head back. Their combined punch sent Hydrox reeling. They bumped fists triumphantly before Hydrox's mad cackle pierced the air.
"Your demise is here," he intoned ominously. "Legendary Move: Dragon Call of Monsoon!"
Clouds swallowed the moon, sapping Felix's power. The rain invigorated Hydrox, who formed giant water balls.
"Ultimate Move: Thunder Fire of the Wind!" Jared bellowed, hands blazing with fiery lightning.
"Distract him!" Jared yelled to Felix, who unleashed a moon fang blast just as Hydrox lobbed a water ball. The collision provided the opening Jared needed to scorch Hydrox with his fireballs. But Hydrox's water ball found its mark, battering Jared.
Hydrox gloated as his water ball bore down on Felix, who stood firm. As the clouds parted, Felix transformed again, deflecting the weakened water ball back at Hydrox alongside his own moon blast.
The twin blows obliterated Hydrox. "Noooo!" he wailed, dissipating.
Felix powered down, collapsing in exhaustion. "Match complete," his watch declared.
"That was close," Felix panted before succumbing to unconsciousness. The Hydrox gem shattered on Sekel's sword. Though defeated, Sekel still had other warriors left for his evil plans.
