The intermission had come to an end, and the stage was once again ready for battle. The announcer's voice boomed through the arena, signaling the start of the next match on the right side of the bracket. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage...The Midnight Mustangs!" The crowd erupted in cheers as two figures emerged from the bottom of the stage. Ida and Oliver stood side by side, giving each other a quick fist bump before turning their attention to their opponents. Ida, with his striking orange eyes and curly, medium-length hair that resembled autumn leaves, exuded confidence and determination. He stood at average height and weight for his age, with a notable scar running down his left eye from a previous encounter with his rival. His brown GI proudly displayed a Mustang horse emblem on the back, and he wore a single tick mark on his belt to represent his years of experience in Kung-Fu. His partner Oliver, on the other hand, possessed a more sleek and graceful appearance. With piercing peach-colored eyes and straight lime green hair, he towered over Ida with his tall and lean frame. His Navy blue GI was accented with a rainbow belt and a single tick mark, showcasing his expertise in martial arts. As they awaited their opponent's arrival, Ida couldn't help but notice the peculiar attire of the two figures coming out of the bottom of the stage. One had short black emo-styled hair while the other sported longer locks adorned with eyeshadow. Both were dressed in dark black GIs that gave off an intimidating aura. "Who are these kids?" wondered Tucker Barron. Evelyn Knight replied with uncertainty, "I don't know, but this should be easy. "Before they could dwell on it further, the announcer's voice interrupted their thoughts. "And now let us see who their opponents will be..." Out of the shadows, Tucker and Evelyn emerged, their black GIs contrasting against the bright lights of the stage. "Hmmm, interesting choice of footwear for a fight," remarked the announcer as he noticed Tucker's boots and Evelyn's heels. "We wear what we want," replied Tucker with an aggressive tone, shutting down any further comments from the announcer. With a directive to begin the match, all four competitors bowed to each other in respect before getting into their stances. The tension in the air was palpable as they ran towards each other, their punches colliding with such force that it caused a gust of wind to sweep through the arena. Evelyn wasted no time in using her strength to toss Ida over her shoulders and through the platform, creating a large hole in the stage. "Is that all you've got?" she taunted. But Ida wasn't going down without a fight. He quickly got up and retorted confidently, "No way, I'm just warming up."Meanwhile, Oliver and Tucker engaged in a fierce exchange of punches. But Tucker, with his skilled hands, managed to block every blow effortlessly. Thinking on his feet, Oliver suggested swapping partners with Ida. With a nod of agreement from Ida, they executed a perfectly timed switch, catching their opponents off guard. In an unexpected turn of events, Ida landed a powerful kick to Tucker's face while Oliver did the same to Evelyn. They both fell to the ground, temporarily defeated. Ida and Oliver shared a triumphant handshake but were soon interrupted by their opponents getting back up. "That was just luck!" scowled Evelyn. "Thanks," joked Ida, causing confusion from his teammates. "I mean...it wasn't luck at all." He quickly corrected himself. Before any more words could be exchanged, Tucker unleashed a powerful water-like ball towards Ida. Just barely managing to dodge it, Ida's expression turned from one of happiness to one of anger. "That was close!" He exclaimed, turning to Oliver for reassurance. But in that moment of distraction, Evelyn took advantage and landed a devastating punch on Oliver. He fell hard onto the stage floor, his face sliding against it painfully. "What a hit from Evelyn!" exclaimed the announcer with excitement. The crowd roared as they witnessed the intense battle taking place before them. Evelyn's hand began to glow with a deep, dark hue as she launched herself towards Oliver. He quickly got into a defensive stance as Evelyn's black aura collided with his own. She pushed him back several feet, but he held strong and took no damage. As they continued to exchange blows, Tucker and Ida were engaged in their own intense battle. They traded punches and kicks until Tucker went for a devastating straight kick to Ida's chest. But Ida was quick, catching Tucker's leg and using it to spin himself around for a powerful counter-kick to Tucker's stomach. "You're done," Tucker growled, getting back up quickly. "Think again," Ida retorted. Tucker could feel his anger bubbling up inside him, causing his aura to darken and his body to transform into a fearsome creature with black fins and claws, a tail, and a rex-like head with purple fur. "I said you're dead!" he roared in a deep, chilling voice. Meanwhile, Evelyn continued her relentless assault on Oliver, pounding him until he was on the edge of the fighting stage. With one final punch, she was about to knock him off when he surprised her with a double kick to the face. As he stood up victorious, Ida came flying in from above with another attack, but Evelyn caught him and tossed him back towards Tucker. Panicked at the thought of facing both opponents at once, Oliver closed his eyes and heard a voice in his head telling him what to do – something he had done before in similar situations. He let out a fierce battle cry as his aura changed from white to brown and finally jet black. His hands and legs transformed into horse hooves while his body took on the shape of a powerful mustang. Tucker charged at him full speed, but Oliver's increased agility allowed him to land multiple punches with his hooves before delivering a powerful kick that sent Tucker flying and tore his gi. As Tucker got back up, he told Evelyn to stay back and faced off against Oliver once again. As the two clashed, Evelyn used her Shadow Sword Strike – a move that sent a sharp black blade towards Oliver. He ducked and dodged, trying to untangle himself from Tucker's tail as Evelyn continued to launch attacks. Her hand began to turn pitch black, aiming her attack on Oliver. Ida flew towards Evelyn with the force of a bullet shot from a gun. However, just in time, Ida transformed into a hybrid creature - half toucan, half human - and used their powerful talon claws to counter Evelyn's punch. The impact was loud and explosive, causing smoke to fill the air. As the smoke cleared, it became evident that Evelyn had caught Ida's legs and transformed into a dark Valkyrie. Despite this setback, Ida managed to get in one last punch before collapsing outside of the ring, unconscious. The announcer declared Evelyn as the winner, eliminating the Midnight Mustangs from the tournament. The crowd erupted into cheers as Ida woke up amidst the noise. Oliver rushed over to them. "I'm sorry," Ida said apologetically. "There is no need to apologize," replied Oliver with a smile. "You did great out there; I am just relieved that you're not seriously hurt." He helped Ida up and they fist-bumped before making their way back to the locker room together.
