Episode XXIV Tokido's Interference

Episode XXIV Tokido's Interference

Jax hobbled back to the locker room, wincing in pain with each step. The medical room came into view, and he saw Kiyoshi propped up in his bed, looking concerned. "Are you alright?" Kiyoshi asked. "I'll be fine," Jax replied weakly. "How did you manage without me against such a tough team?" Kiyoshi pressed. Jax brushed off the question and simply stated, "We won." "We made it to the finals!" Kiyoshi exclaimed, clenching his fist with determination. "I can't wait to get back in the ring," he added eagerly. But Jax interjected, "You need more rest before you can fight again." Kiyoshi scoffed, "Nonsense, I'm ready to go." He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and tried to stand, but immediately crumpled in pain. "See, you're not in any condition to fight yet," Jax pointed out. Kiyoshi pouted but eventually relented, muttering about being too stubborn for his own good. Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, Felix and Lionel were discussing their upcoming match in the dual-threat tournament. "My prediction is that it will be a one-sided affair," Lionel proclaimed confidently. "Why's that?" Felix questioned. With a savage glint in his eye, Lionel replied, "They only have one competitor on their team while we have two." Felix countered by saying that Kiyoshi was a formidable fighter in his own right, but Lionel dismissed him and said it would be a waste of time to train him. As they prepared for the finals, both Jax and Kiyoshi were bandaged up from their previous matches. "Let's win this thing," Kiyoshi pumped his fist and exclaimed to Jax. Nodding in agreement, Jax replied, "We got this." The announcer's voice filled the arena, hyping up the crowd for a dramatic final. "This is it, folks. Two new teams will battle it out for the championship. Can I get both teams on stage?" All four fighters locked eyes with each other, knowing that only one would emerge victorious. "We won't hold back," Lionel declared coldly. Kiyoshi grinned and responded, "Good, I love a good showdown." Felix offered a simple "good luck" while Jax echoed his sentiments. The four of them stepped onto the fighting stage together and bowed to show their respect. Felix and Jax wasted no time in attacking each other, but Jax managed to block Felix's low sweep effortlessly before spinning around and landing a punch right on Felix's face. He fell back with a groan, but quickly regained his composure and charged at Jax with a powerful wolf paw punch. Jax was sent flying and landed heavily on the ground. Despite his own injuries, he got back up and exchanged words with Felix. Meanwhile, Lionel and Kiyoshi clashed their fists together, but Kiyoshi was knocked back by the sheer force of Lionel's blow. "Whoa!" he exclaimed as he stumbled backwards.Lionel sprinted towards Kiyoshi, aiming a kick at his injured back. Kiyoshi let out a pained cry as he fell to the ground. But before he could even begin to recover, Lionel grabbed him and jumped off of his stomach to deliver a powerful kick in midair. Kiyoshi was sent flying and crashed onto the stage platform among all the rubble. “This is pointless,” said Lionel, shaking his head in disappointment. Slowly but surely, Kiyoshi managed to get back up on his feet. “It's not pointless; I am just as strong as you," he insisted through gritted teeth. "No, you are definitely not as strong as me," retorted Lionel. Suddenly, his entire arm began to glow with a bright pink light, and his hand transformed into a sharp weapon. He called out an attack and rushed at Kiyoshi, who tried to defend himself but was quickly overpowered and cut down by Lionel's neon slash. As he knelt on the ground, holding his wound, there was a sudden explosion which threw him away from where he had been standing. Miraculously, Kiyoshi managed to stand up once again. "Why do you have to be so stubborn? Just stay down," pleaded Lionel. "I will never give up; I need to prove myself worthy," declared Kiyoshi with determination in his voice. "My life has been nothing but pain and abuse; my orphan parent locked me in a basement and I never knew my real parents. This fight is everything to me." His words were accompanied by a dark purple aura that started emanating from his body and engulfing him in its darkness. For a split second, Kiyoshi's eyes turned into tiger-shaped ones with lime green irises before returning to their normal dull state. "Is this supposed to happen?" asked Lionel, turning towards Zebeon for guidance. "No, it looks like a failed transformation," replied Zebeon. "A failed transformation? What does that mean?" questioned Lionel. "It means the spirit guardian has taken complete control of the user," explained Zebeon. "How can we stop this from happening?" inquired Lionel. "There are two ways - either knock Kiyoshi out completely, or he must face his spirit guardian and defeat it," said Zebeon. "The second option is not possible; we don't have all night to wait for that," declared Lionel. "Then I will have to get closer," he added determinedly. He charged at Kiyoshi with another neon slash, but was suddenly stopped by Jax's urgent yell. Surprised, Lionel turned around to see what was going on. In that moment, berserk Kiyoshi caught his neon slash and held it firmly in his grip. Realizing the danger they were in, Lionel and Felix immediately stopped fighting each other and rushed to help Lionel. "What did you do to make him so angry?" asked Jax with concern in his voice. "Well...maybe I might have provoked him a little bit," admitted Lionel sheepishly. "How do we stop him now?" asked Felix urgently. "We need to try and knock him out," said Jax confidently as they prepared to take on berserk Kiyoshi together. Tethyus spoke up, his voice tinged with awe. "I think Lionel has a spirit guardian inside him," he said, echoing Zebeon's earlier observation. "We should try to communicate with it," added Lionel, determined to make a connection with the mysterious force within him. With Zebeon as the mediator, they attempted to send a greeting towards the spirit guardian. "Hello?" Tethyus called out tentatively. "Can you hear us at all?" Surprisingly, they received a response from the guardian. "Yeah, I can hear you," Tethyus exclaimed in amazement. "We can actually talk to each other!" Excitement filled the group as they marveled at their newfound ability. But suddenly, their moment of wonder was interrupted by the ferocious roars of Berserk Kiyoshi. He launched into a flurry of punches and kicks towards Lionel who expertly blocked each one. But then Felix stepped in to join the fight, only to be met with a brutal backhand punch from Kiyoshi that sent him flying through the air and crashing down onto the platform below. Jax seized the opportunity and leapt into action, launching himself in a lightning-fast kick towards Kiyoshi's head. However, Kiyoshi was quick to react and grabbed Jax's leg, taking the full force of his electrifying attack before throwing him towards Lionel. The impact of Jax's kick and subsequent throw left Lionel writhing on the ground in pain. But just as everyone thought the battle was over, a cloud of smoke appeared out of nowhere. When the smoke cleared, a mysterious figure cloaked in black stood before them. The announcer's confusion was evident as he questioned the newcomer's presence on the fighting platform. As Jax prepared to confront the man, Kiyoshi charged up a massive ball of dark energy and hurled it towards the mysterious figure. But the man effortlessly deflected it and returned fire, causing Kiyoshi to revert back to his original form in defeat. Jax couldn't believe what he was seeing. The man's eyes were exactly like his own when he was in trouble, only they were grey instead of blue. As he was about to question the stranger's identity, the man suddenly disappeared behind him and knocked him unconscious with a swift Karate chop to the neck. The next thing Jax knew, he was being carried away by the stranger as every sensei from the academy arrived at the fighting platform. Seeing the three injured fighters on the ground, one of the sensei’s quickly ordered for them to be taken to the medical wing. As Jax slowly regained consciousness, he saw that the smoke had cleared and he was now lying on the ground. "It's my brother Strix," Tethyus exclaimed upon seeing their rescuer. But Jax corrected him, recognizing their savior as Tokido. "Why are you here?" he asked in confusion. Tokido smirked at Jax's question before replying, "I couldn't resist checking on my little brother's progress in his matches." "What do you want from me?" Jax questioned suspiciously. "I want your strength and power," Tokido declared confidently. "They rightfully belong to me." "My strength? What are you talking about?" Jax asked, confused by his brother's sudden claim. "The future has shown me that you will surpass even my own strength," Tokido explained. "And I cannot allow that to happen. This is where your journey ends, little brother." Determined not to let his brother get in his way, Jax straightened up and confidently challenged him. "Bring it on then," he said defiantly. "As you wish," replied Tokido with a sinister smile. As they bowed to begin the match, Jax was met with a surprise attack from Tokido who landed a punch straight to his gut. Jax doubled over in pain, but before he could recover, Tokido followed up with a swift kick to his chin that sent him flying backwards and crashing into a nearby tree with tremendous force. “You are a disgrace, just like our father. How could you have the same blood running through your veins as me? You are nothing but a pitiful shadow beneath our father’s legacy!” Shouted Tokido, his voice filled with venom and rage. Jax stumbled back and held his face, wincing in pain from the harsh words. “Get up, brother! Let your fury and anger consume you, become a true Mitsuko!” Yelled Tokido, his eyes burning with hatred. Jax gritted his teeth and charged towards Tokido, his fists clenched tightly. But Tokido was too quick for him, easily catching Jax's fist and spinning around to deliver a powerful back kick to his face. Jax was sent flying through the air, landing hard on the ground. Tokido removed his cloak, finally revealing his full face to Jax. It was almost identical to Jax's own face, but with cold grey eyes rather than the familiar deep blue. And in those eyes, Jax could see something changing - his brother's pupils were beginning to take on a menacing hipogriff shape, fueled by anger. “That looks like my brother Strix,” muttered Tethyus, observing from the inside of Jax. “Don’t worry, we will put an end to all of this,” replied Jax firmly. Despite being winded and in pain, Jax quickly got back to his feet. As he faced off against Tokido once again, a blue aura began to surround him and his eyes took on the same hipogriff shape as Tokido's. “I see you have finally awakened your inner self. Too bad it won't last for long,” sneered Tokido. “I will bring you over to the side of good and light, Tokido,” declared Tethyus confidently. “We will see about that,” retorted Tokido calmly before closing and reopening his eyes. Tethyus took control of Jax's body, and both charged at Tokido with their fists ready. But as they clashed, a powerful force was generated, creating strong gusts of wind that whipped around them. In the midst of the chaos, Tethyus managed to land a kick to Tokido's face, sending him flying and rolling on the ground. “Lucky shot, but not lucky enough,” grunted Tokido as he regained his footing. He then began to form a ball of white electric energy in his hands. “Perhaps I should end this quickly,” said Tokido with a dangerous glint in his eye. “Special Move: Ghost Lightning Cannon!” he yelled before releasing the powerful blast towards Jax and Tethyus. Tethyus saw a ball coming towards her, and she began to form a ball of her own. She made Tokido put his two hands together, and it created two small blue electric balls that connected each other with an electric line. The two balls sprung into a bigger electric ball, and then she released it as a blast. The blast aims right at the ghost lightning cannon, but Tokido's special move was too powerful for the blast, and the ball went right through the blast, which fades away went towards Jax’s body. The ball impacted Jax’s stomach, and then it blew up. Jax/Tethyus fell to the ground fainted. Tokido walk over towards the fainted Jax, and he opens Jax’s eyelids and reaches for his eyes. This will be good for my collection of all my family eyes; I will be the most powerful Mitsuko of all the lands! Shouts Tokido. But then something triggered Tokido’s arms that have forbidden him to take Jax’s eye. “Why, I can’t do this?” Asked Tokido. “What is the matter, Tokido?” Asked Strix. “Nothing!” He lied. “Can this be!” yelled Tokido. He grabs a cloak and uses a smoke bomb, and vanishes. Then it started to pour down rain with a lightning strike. The next day. Felix woke up last. He woke up to an argument between Lionel and Kiyoshi. “This all your fault!” Yelled Lionel. “My fault, what did I do?” Asked Kiyoshi. “You went berserk and almost got us killed,” said Lionel. “I could not control it,” said Kiyoshi. “You think!” said Lionel. “Now, we got detention for three months for this,” said Lionel. “Hey, what happened to Jax?” Asked Felix. “Uuh, that’s a good question,” said the both of them. “We need to look for him and fast,” said Felix. “Why, he will appear to us again,” said Kiyoshi. “Because he senses something is wrong with him. and I do too,” said Lionel.
