Where is he?" Scarlet bellows, hurling Jose across the laboratory. "Wait a minute, are we all on the same side here?" Kiyoshi questions nervously. Scarlet whips around, fixing Kiyoshi with a fiery glare. She lunges at him, grappling his legs and slamming him to the ground. "Maybe we are not on the same side," Kiyoshi wheezes, swirls of darkness clouding his vision.
"Umm, this is not good," Lionel murmurs uneasily. I should try to calm her down and find out where Felix is. Lionel bursts out of the lab, sprinting towards the courtyard. Just as he reaches for the door, Scarlet's foot connects sharply with his back, booting him outside. Lionel crashes down in the central courtyard directly in front of Felix.
"Guys, what is going on?" Felix asks, bewildered. "I told you we would find him, Scarlet," Lionel groans, inky darkness swirling in his eyes. "Felix!" Scarlet cries, dashing over to him. "Are you okay? I've been so worried about you," she gushes, embracing him tightly.
"I'm fine," Felix assures her. "So what happened while I was gone?"
Lionel explains, "Tokido has been captured and teleported to an unknown location to hunt for gems and fully unleash the Sword of Infinity."
"I think I know where they went, Felix," Mudar interjects wisely. "Where?" Felix asks eagerly.
"There is a light radiating from that snowy mountain," Mudar states, gesturing with his paw. Felix's gaze darts to the snowcapped peaks, glimpsing the telltale gem glow. "Thanks, Mudar," he says gratefully.
"Where are the others?"
"Still inside trying to figure out how to escape," Lionel updates him.
"Kiyoshi, I think something in that room is moving," Kitaro whispers.
"Are you sure?" Kiyoshi questions doubtfully.
"I'm certain," Kitaro affirms.
"Eye of the tiger," Kiyoshi declares boldly. His eyes blaze until they lock onto traces of movement. Kiyoshi charges towards the shuffling figure, punching open the door. Inside, he discovers the real Grandmaster Sensei Tom writhing on the floor.
Kiyoshi and Jose hurriedly untie Grandmaster Sensei Tom. "Boys, thank you so much," he says appreciatively.
"So how did you end up here?" Jose inquires.
"I've been trapped for a while now, and I can't recall what happened," Grandmaster Sensei Tom admits ruefully. "We have an urgent mission to stop these villains from unleashing the sword before it's too late!"
"Do you know where they went?" he asks hopefully.
Jose and Kiyoshi shake their heads, clueless.
"Blast it, we must get outside!" Grandmaster Sensei Tom decides, making for the exit.
Kiyoshi, Jose and Grandmaster Sensei Tom burst out of the building, joining the other three.
"Felix, you're okay!" Kiyoshi exclaims, giving him an enthusiastic fist bump. "Nice to see you again, buddy," he grins.
"Your girlfriend is insane," Jose whispers under his breath.
Felix chuckles at the quip.
"What did you say, Jose?" Scarlet demands menacingly.
"Umm, nothing!" Jose fibs, flashing an angelic smile.
Felix laughs again.
"Do you guys have any idea where my evil doppelganger went?" Grandmaster Sensei Tom asks urgently.
"I think he headed towards that snowy mountain, where that bright light is coming from," Felix explains, pointing towards the peaks.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"It seems they're seeking the four corners of the island," Grandmaster Sensei Tom deduces. "Did someone conceal gems at those four points?"
"Yes," Grandmaster Sensei Tom confirms with a frustrated laugh. "Time to ascend the snowy mountain for an icy showdown," Kiyoshi declares dramatically.
As they trek towards the slopes, Mitch leaps out from the trees, jabbing an accusing finger at Jose. "I want a rematch!" he demands angrily.
"Well, I don't fight those I've already defeated. You should challenge the guy in light blue," Jose dismisses casually.
"Fine, I'll beat him first, then the rest of you!" Mitch snarls.
"This should be entertaining," Lionel comments wryly.
"This time, I'll beat you," Felix states confidently.
"We'll see who's sprawled on the ground when this is over," Mitch taunts.
They bow respectfully to commence the duel. Circling warily, each waits for the other to strike first. Mitch feints a headbutt then charges straight at Felix, who nimbly vaults over his head and stomps down hard.
Mitch clambers up furiously, throwing a tantrum. "Lucky dodge and stomp!" he spits resentfully.
Felix sinks into his new fighting stance, poised and ready. As Mitch nears, Felix launches a kick which Mitch grabs, yanking Felix off-balance. Mitch slams his head into Felix's stomach twice before tossing him aside.
"Oh no!" Scarlet cries in dismay.
Mitch cackles wickedly at his advantage. From atop a cliff overlooking the fight, Jared remarks, "I think Felix will barely win this. What do you think, Erik?"
"Looking at Mitch's fading stamina, if he uses another basic power move, he won't have enough strength left to defeat Felix," Erik analyzes.
Felix staggers up slowly, clutching his stomach. "Lucky shot," he contends.
"Wait for his ramming headbutt again," Mudar advises.
This time, Mitch activates his spirit guardian mode. "I am Vafeer the Metal Ram!" he bellows. His face transforms into a metal ram's head with gleaming horns.
"That's new," Jose comments in surprise.
"You've fought him before, right?" Lionel questions.
"Yes, but he never reached this form until now," Jose explains uneasily.
"I think Felix is doomed," Kiyoshi frets.
"Not quite - his only path to victory is tapping into his new power," Kitaro asserts confidently.
Felix resumes his stance, preparing for Mitch's attack. As expected, Mitch charges, head lowered to ram Felix, who blocks futilely. The brutal headbutt launches Felix skyward. Mitch retreats then runs full speed as Felix plunges earthward, lining up another headbutt.
"Super Move: Metal Horn Smash!" Mitch shouts. His head slams into Felix's falling body with a sickening crunch. But in that instant, Felix's eyes blaze as the full moon's power flows into him. His Moon Typhoon sends Mitch flying back, exploding on impact.
As Mitch rises unsteadily, Felix's light blue aura expands massively. "I am Mudar the Moon Wolf!" Felix proclaims victoriously. In a flash, he transforms into a hybrid wolf-human.
"At last he has unleashed his spirit guardian, though not yet as strong as mine. I've seen enough," Jared concludes, retreating swiftly.
"Super Move: Moon Fang Blast!" Felix roars, a colossal azure blast erupting from his palm engulfing Mitch entirely. Mitch's limp body disintegrates as he sinks into unconsciousness.
Felix powers down from his spirit guardian form, whooping joyfully at his first solo victory in some time. Scarlet races over to embrace him. "I'm so proud of you!" she gushes.
"Me too, buddy!" Kiyoshi congratulates him. "I think I'm going to hurl," he jokes queasily.
A deafening explosion echoes from the snowy peaks. "Guys, it's great we're celebrating, but we've got big trouble heading this way," Jose alerts them urgently, pointing at the fiery glow within the mountain.
"Perhaps we should use this to get there faster," Grandmaster Sensei Tom suggests, pressing a button. A massive helicopter branded with the island's logo rises into view.
"Oh, awesome!" Kiyoshi exclaims.
"Wait, haven't you seen a helicopter before?" Lionel questions incredulously.
"Well, no, since I grew up in a basement orphanage," Kiyoshi explains sheepishly.
They clamber aboard and take off towards the eruption.
"There's Jax!" Scarlet notices.
"You're right, there they are," Lionel confirms eagerly. "Jax!" he shouts desperately. But Jax does not turn, which puzzles Felix.
"Strange, why didn't Jax look this way?"
"Hmm, they must be under some kind of spell," Kiyoshi deduces.
"Only one way to find out," Lionel says resolutely, racing off.
"Wait...!" Felix calls out, too late.
"Hey, where did Jose go?" Kiyoshi wonders aloud.
Jose sensed an aura of formidable power and set off alone to confront it.
"I knew you would lead me to a worthy opponent someday," Cloven states.
"So you're the Prometheus fighter I've heard about," Jose says seriously.
"What makes you so certain?" Cloven counters.
"I can sense it," Jose replies, gaze intense.
"You must be that mediocre transfer dragon I've heard of," Cloven taunts.
"I'll show you mediocre," Jose shoots back heatedly.
The wind whips between them as they face off, Cloven perched imperiously on a cliff edge staring down at Jose. They bow respectfully to commence the duel.
High level match initiated, their watches drone mechanically. All across the mountain, the alert sounds.
"You first," Cloven invites condescendingly.
He leaps down as Jose springs up to meet him. Their fists collide explosively, the impact resonating through the mountain foundations. They trade blow after blow, the repeated impacts threatening to bring the whole mountain crashing down.
"Glad you can keep up, filthy dragon," Cloven jeers.
"Who are you calling filthy, alien scum!" Jose retorts furiously.
"Fair point. Inferno Heat Punch!" Cloven shouts, hands erupting into blazing fire as he drives them into Jose's chest.
Jose slams back into the snow. "Lucky shot," he scoffs, shrugging it off.
"Hasn't even winded me," Cloven taunts.
"Great, we're two men down on this cursed peak," Kiyoshi complains.
"It's not cursed, just disorienting," Lionel corrects in annoyance.
Jose regains his feet and they clash again, trading blows but evenly matched in dodging each other's strikes. Finally Jose lands a fiery kick to Cloven's jaw, following up with a palm strike to the chest. The wave of force from the blow triggers an avalanche as the mountain quakes.
"Avalanche advisory? How unexpected," Sekel remarks sarcastically. He snaps his fingers and the teleporter appears, whisking them away from the crumbling slopes.
Oblivious, Cloven and Jose continue their death match amidst the tumult.
"Dragon eyes!" Jose commands, his eyes morphing into reptilian slits. Cloven's red aura intensifies ominously until he transforms into his spirit guardian form.
"I am Zyjipsue, the Inferno Prometheus!" he declares. Half-human, half-Prometheus again.
"You should go into your spirit guardian form too," Zuldro advises urgently.
"Got it," Jose agrees, his own red aura expanding. But Cloven intervenes, punching Jose's stomach to disrupt the transformation. Jose's eyes roll back as he sinks to his knees, stunned.
Cloven laughs villainously over Jose's helpless form. "You really think I'd let you transform into an all-powerful being, Jose? No, I'll stop you at all costs," he gloats sinisterly, advancing on Jose.
"Farewell, dragon fool. Ultra Move: True Blazing Inferno Punch Combo!" Cloven yells, hands and feet erupting into flames. He pummels Jose mercilessly until he loses consciousness, then vanishes as snow buries Jose's broken body. The teleporter appears and whisks Cloven away to find the second gem.
