Episode XIII Round 1: The Loch Raptors vs. Swamp Monkeys

The announcer's voice boomed through the stadium, amplified by the giant speakers that surrounded the arena. The air was thick with anticipation as the Wild Jackets and Mystical Scream fighters finished their match, leaving the crowd erupting in cheers and screams. "Now folks, let's move on to the main event of this side of the bracket!" Shouted the announcer into his microphone. "Welcome up first, the Loch Raptors - the creators of this incredible tournament!" As he spoke, two figures emerged from behind the stage curtains and made their way to the center of the arena. The crowd fell into a hush, eagerly awaiting what was to come. "Hey, look who it is - Lucas and Vincent!" Exclaimed Felix excitedly to his friend Lionel, who merely gave a sharp look and closed his eyes. "I still can't shake off this feeling that something isn't right about this tournament," Lionel mumbled to himself before suddenly getting up and leaving the room. "Now, let me introduce our next opponents - the Swamp Monkeys!" The announcer's voice brought everyone's attention back to the arena. Two fighters walked out in their crisp white Gi uniforms, their faces determined and ready for battle. The crowd remained silent, unsure of who these new fighters were ."Who are they?" One fighter asked another in confusion. "If you take a closer look at their Gi uniforms, you'll see that they're new arrivals to the Island," replied another fighter in understanding. "Just ignore them; we're here because Lucas believes in our skills as fighters," Ryo said confidently to his partner Kasper. Ryo had striking green eyes that seemed to glow under the bright lights of the stadium. His golden-blonde hair was short and wavy, adding to his rugged appearance. Standing beside him was Kasper Rader, whose bright turquoise eyes shone with determination. He sported indigo hair styled in a neat pointed tail, giving him an edgy and confident look. "Alright fighters, please bow down to make this match official," the announcer's voice brought everyone back to reality. The two opponents stood across from each other, their eyes locked in fierce determination as they prepared for what was sure to be an epic battle.

Meanwhile, Lionel sprinted down the long hallway, away from the locker room. The stage was positioned next to a warehouse with multiple rooms filled with boxes. As he ran, Lionel noticed a staircase leading up to the warehouse's second floor. "Hmm," he murmured to himself. He took the stairs two at a time, reaching the top to find a door marked "No Trespassing." Confused, Lionel quietly opened the door and peeked inside. He saw a long desk with a computer and windows that stretched horizontally across the wall. The computer screen displayed a live feed of all the fighters in the tournament. "I knew something was off about this tournament," Lionel thought to himself as he observed the scene. Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Thinking quickly, Lionel spotted a nearby closet and swiftly hid inside, closing the door behind him. A girl entered the room wearing a tan GI, immediately sensing that she was Anubis’ spirit. “Lucas, I think your door has been left open,” she said aloud. “Back down to the fight,” Lucas replied, clearly annoyed by the interruption. “What? That's impossible,” she responded. “Well, your door was cracked open,” Lucas explained before dismissing her and returning his focus to the fight. Meanwhile, back on stage... “Vincent!” Lucas shouted urgently mid-fight. “Huh?” Vincent replied, confused by the sudden change in tone. “We must hurry up and finish this match quickly; someone opened the door to the off-limits room,” Lucas explained. “All right,” Vincent replied calmly, unfazed by the news. As she searched for Lionel, her eyes landed on the closet where he was hiding. She turned away and continued searching while Lionel silently emerged from his hiding spot and snuck up behind her, flipping her onto the floor beside the desk. “So it was you who was spying on us; who are you?” she demanded while attempting to strike Lionel. “Don't worry about my name; why were you spying; why?” Lionel responded, defending himself against her attacks. “To gain knowledge on your fighters, to determine the weakest and strongest,” she confessed. “My name is Sherry, Guardian of the Mystical Sandstrom Anubis,” she added. “My name is Lionel.” The two continued circling each other in their fighting stances as Sherry probed for more information. “So tell me, why are you here in this room?” she asked again. “I have my suspicions,” Lionel replied cryptically. “You have a lot of nerve coming into this room without permission,” Sherry remarked with a hint of anger in her voice. “Oh really?” Lionel challenged. Suddenly, Sherry lunged at him with a punch, but he quickly deflected her arms and retaliated with an uppercut. She caught his fist and countered with a kick to his side, causing him to drop to the floor. As he tried to recover, she kicked him in the head and sent him flying across the room. Meanwhile, back on stage... "Monkey flip!" Kasper shouted at Lucas mid-fight. Lucas dodged out of the way just in time and landed a strong punch to Kasper's gut. He then picked him up and threw him directly at Ryo while simultaneously executing his dark move, "Eclipse Pulse." A large dark ball formed in Lucas' hands as he ran towards them, connecting with both Kasper and Ryo and sending them flying off the stage in a ring out. “That was the fastest match of the night," the announcer declared as the crowd cheered. A hushed silence falls over the crowd as Vincent steps off the stage, sweat dripping down his tense muscles. Lucas follows closely behind, a determined glint in his eye. As they enter the locker room, the announcer's voice booms over the speakers, proclaiming their quick victory to the match. But their focus is already on the next round as they prepare for what will surely be a grueling fight. In another part of the arena, Felix's brow furrows as he searches for Lionel, who had disappeared moments ago. Suddenly, he overhears a conversation between Vincent and Lucas about someone named Lionel Feret entering their secret room. A first-year fighter? How could they have missed him before? Meanwhile, Sherry squares off against Lionel in an intense showdown. She unleashes her full power, but is caught off guard when Lionel reveals a shocking ability - Special Move: Neon Flash. Blinded by the pink flash, Sherry struggles to defend herself before being knocked out by Lionel's powerful dropkick. As Lucas and Vincent rush to investigate the commotion, they are met with chaos - their office has been ransacked and their data stolen by Lionel. Enraged, Lucas orders Sherry to track down and eliminate Lionel from the tournament. But as she sets off on her mission, Sherry can't shake off the lingering confusion of how she fell for Lionel's surprise attack. And as she storms out of the room determined to make things right, little does she know that Lionel is already making their escape from the tournament grounds...
