E96-Welcome

Listening to the command, Zoe vanished and reappeared near Orrin. It seemed the creature was somewhat eager to fulfill the butler role once again. Apolo observed the scene from a distance, confident that things should go well initially. Even though the greenish fetus wasn't particularly handsome, Apolo knew from the Gururi's skin color that it probably had over a hundred years of age. Therefore, if it had been working as a butler for most of that time for its previous owner, Zoe would certainly be a hundred times better butler than Orrin.

Trusting that Zoe could handle things on her own, Apolo approached the two bruised Gururi roses still struggling on the ground to get up from the blows they had received. Without giving them much explanation, the young nobleman grabbed both creatures by their feet and dragged them inside the mansion, ignoring their desperate cries as their bodies collided with the stairs leading to the grand doors.

Under the astonished gazes of the new servants, appalled by the young man's cruelty, Apolo kicked open the massive doors and tossed the two pink Gururis inside, making them roll on the floor.

—Welcome to your new home!—Apolo shouted with a smile, arms outstretched to the sky like the inscription on his gold ring. He was completely proud that he had finally completed the long "mission" left by his venerable ancestor.

As for the two Gururis, they struggled to get up. Despite resembling human children, their bodies were quite resilient, and despite the blood staining their new clothes, they hadn't lost consciousness yet. Apolo watched the pitiful scene with some anger; for some reason, he felt that the Gururis should be excited to discover that they would live in this mansion. However, they only glared at him from the ground, licking their wounds to cover them with the gelatinous saliva they produced.

—Don't you like my home?—Apolo asked, looking at the creatures with disgust.

—...—But the two Gururis remained silent, continuing to lick themselves on the ground.

—I guess I'll have to stimulate their curiosity with a few cane strokes...—Apolo muttered with a sadistic smile, tapping the golden knob of his cane with his hand. For some reason, this was bringing back memories of his first day wielding a wooden sword; that day, his grandfather ended up dismembering him while shouting that he should lift the sword to defend himself, which wouldn't be very sensible to do with the Gururis.

After saying that, Apolo approached the Gururis still licking themselves on the ground, and under their fearful gaze, the cruel nobleman began to deliver small cane strokes to their legs until the poor creatures finally understood they should get up. Then, Apolo silently continued to strike his Gururis with the cane until they understood that they had to walk in a certain direction. Finally, the three began to walk through the mansion's corridors until Apolo reached a particular room and opened it.

He revealed a gigantic room filled with furniture, but the most striking features were the two noticeable small houses made of mattresses tucked into each corner of the enormous room. The room was meticulously arranged and overflowing with furniture, each piece bearing a different decoration and seeming to symbolize different emotions. It appeared that the young nobleman had spent months arranging each object in this room down to the smallest detail.

Immediately, Apolo delivered some cane strokes to each Gururi, causing them to roll into the room. Without waiting to hear their heartbreaking cries that would break anyone's heart, the young man closed the room's door, locking them inside. Then, Apolo grabbed the golden knob of his cane and began to twist it until it came off, revealing a secret compartment inside the cane where the metal plate identifying him as a wizard in the Ministry of Magic and a silver key were stored.

Apolo took the silver key and locked the door while muttering to himself:

—Well, let's hope they get over their rebellion in the first few days and instinctively learn to interact with the furniture...

After saying that, Apolo turned away, ruthlessly ignoring the heart-wrenching cries that could be heard coming from inside the massive room.
