My friendships were time, my family was time, my love affairs were time, the children I never had but always wanted were time, my enemies were time, my mistakes were time, just as my achievements were time. The prestige I could never earn was time, and currently my life is running out of time.

The young man's excitement was such that, for the first time since Helena's accident, Apolo managed to forget about the brass ring on his finger, its exact weight, its cold touch, and its imperfect shape. Apolo's mind could only focus on one thing: The Time.
