E139-Madness

Tea continued running through the flaming trees until he finally passed the burning area. To Apolo's relief, the redhead stopped to recover from his injuries by absorbing one of the trees from the forest. He had cleverly covered himself with his own flames to avoid being burned alive.

When the young man finished healing, he kept running until he could finally distinguish the back of his uncle, which, considering that the giant was as tall as a tree, turned out to be a not too complex task. When Tea got close enough, it made the giant aware of his presence and nervously shouted:

—Wait, Tea, I'm changing!

—...—Tea heard the request with disbelief. His uncle had spent almost forty minutes completely naked in front of him without any shame, and now he was embarrassed to be seen changing. Clearly, the giant was hiding something!

With curiosity, the young man didn't heed the request and continued approaching to witness the scene in front of him with astonishment.

—Ha, ha, ha, no wonder the axe got mad!—Tea laughed like a maniac as he fell to the ground and rolled on the floor.

—Don't laugh, you rascal! Worse things will happen to you when you're drunk as you grow up, so don't judge your dear uncle—Cristobal shouted, blushing at the scene in front of him. In the middle of a clearing in the forest lay the naked corpse of a woman. The woman seemed to have died not long ago, so she was in good condition. However, all the woman's beauty was ruined because the handle of a massive axe was impaling her from behind, protruding from her mouth.

The scene itself was completely bizarre, but Apolo was more concerned with the axe that was impaling the woman than with the unfortunate victim of this brutal crime. Incredulous at what he was seeing, Apolo finally understood his duty as an ancestor, which was to send a lightning bolt at this six-meter-tall scoundrel.

Since the young noble recognized this axe as one of the great ancestral weapons of his family, which belonged to a great champion in the past. However, Apolo didn't know the exact story of this champion, but his weapon, in particular, was known to everyone in the castle, not for being the biggest, not for being the most beautiful, nor for being the most complex, but because it was cursed: No one could use this axe!

The axe itself was completely ordinary except for its peculiar size. It had a brown wooden handle and a blade more similar to the axes used by lumberjacks than those of soldiers. However, there was another slightly important characteristic that distinguished this axe from any other giant axe, and that was that its blade was completely worn and destroyed, so no one should want to use it as a weapon.

According to legend, the champion who wielded it never changed his weapon in his life from the day he was born. The champion forged his warrior's body by cutting logs with that axe, and when he grew up, he took it to the battlefield to forge his legend by decapitating his enemies. As the years went by, the giant's body continued to grow, and strangely, his axe grew with him. Apparently, the axe had been cursed by the number of heads it had cut, as the champion in question had the reputation of showing no mercy and defeating any enemy he encountered. The axe's curse dictated that whoever wielded it would be consumed by it until they went completely insane and cut off their own head with it. That's why no one wanted to use it, and it had become a great decoration in the family cemetery. Apolo remembered that his grandfather had placed it in the great hall of the castle precisely to teach him and the other children in the family to be careful with cursed objects, or they could end up losing their heads.

—Are you ashamed to pick it up?—Tea asked with a red face from laughter as he watched his uncle stay silent, looking at the compromising scene.

—My axe is very angry, we're having a discussion...—Cristobal murmured, trying to ignore his nephew's gaze and concentrate on the axe.

—Of course, tell it that the forest is on fire, and it doesn't have much time to waste unless it wants to end up charred...—Tea said, making hand signals as if his uncle were crazy. Although fortunately, the fire was quite far away, and there was no danger in this area. However, the redhead didn't want to stay near the impaled corpse for too long.

Noticing that he couldn't hear the axe speaking either, Apolo exited Tea's body and entered the giant, trying to intervene in the conversation between the axe and the giant.
