E161-Miracles

Awestruck by the miracle he was witnessing with his already tired eyes, Apolo gazed for a few seconds at the two creatures opening the door. They were none other than Aquiles and Nicolás, who at this moment appeared to be the most beautiful creatures in the world in the eyes of the nobleman on the brink of death. On the other side of the story, the two pink gururis stood silently, with Aquiles holding a completely unrecognizable doll that seemed to have been rescued from a fire. This was no ordinary doll; it was none other than Princess Lorena herself!

It seemed that the hidden plot of this story was that Princess Lorena or one of the mansion's furnishings managed to alert the two pink gururis to the desperate situation the master of this estate was in, and following the warning, the two gururis had come to the rescue.

—Why are you just staring at me, you useless brats?!...*Cough*... *Cough*... Carry me to the nearest tree, can't you see I can't move?... *Cough*...*Cough*...—Apolo shouted with violence, watching as the two gururis stood frozen at the door without reacting.

—But how do we do it? He's too heavy!—exclaimed Nicolás, looking at Apolo's gigantic naked body on the floor.

—Do whatever it takes, but do it now, damn it!...*Cough*...*Cough*...—Apolo yelled, his face turning as red as a tomato from struggling against the coughing fit.

—You take the left leg, I'll take the right leg!—Aquiles said without much explanation, placing the doll on the floor.

Hearing Aquiles' idea, the two gururis ran to grab Apolo by each leg and began to drag him across the wooden floor towards the exit. Far from being bothered by the rough way he was being handled, Apolo smiled like an idiot as he felt his back swallow splinters of wood one after another, as if it were a delicacy of the gods: the bastard had been saved!

A few minutes passed, and with great effort, the gururis managed to drag Apolo through the hallways until they reached the mansion's stairs, where they stopped and stared at the large number of steps they had to descend.

—What the hell is going on? Why are you stopping?—Apolo asked with effort and quite angrily.

—There are too many stairs, and honestly, we don't think you'll make it down alive if we drag you down here—Nicolás said honestly.

—Don't drag me...*Cough*...Roll me sideways down the stairs and stop me every few steps...*Cough*...*Cough*...—Apolo replied, quickly finding a solution to deal with this problem.

After hearing the idea, the two gururis turned the immobilized Apolo and stood in front of him. Slowly, they began to roll him down the steps, one step at a time, until they finally reached the ground.

Unfortunately, the mansion was too large, so the other servants couldn't hear the noise. As for Zoe, it could be said that she was not willing to get involved in the adventures of the pink gururis, just as Apolo had warned her to do. That's why Nicolás and Aquiles didn't receive any extra help to complete the task until they finished.

Finally, after being dragged a few more meters, Apolo could see the large tree in the middle of the roundabout that led to the mansion. The young nobleman tried to tell the two gururis to find another tree; this was precisely the most beautiful tree in the mansion and also the most important in the courtyard. But to his dismay, his condition at this point was deplorable, not so much because of the blue plague that would kill him soon, but because of the blows to the head he had received while descending the stairs.

Unable to say a word, Apolo felt as the two pink gururis released him a few meters from the tree and retreated cautiously. Fortunately, the young nobleman's constant paranoia had eventually led him to teach the two creatures what to do in case he got injured, so the gururis knew they couldn't touch him while Apolo healed.

Immediately, a cord of flesh and skin grew from the back of Apolo's neck. Like a worm, the cord crawled along the floor, extending itself until it reached the gigantic tree in the middle of the roundabout. When the fleshy cord connected with the tree, Apolo's body contorted as it healed, and he could feel his muscles responding once more. On the other hand, the poor old tree lost its luster on its bark, while its leaves began to wither and fall, as if autumn had arrived.
