There was a necromancer, a goddamn necromancer somewhere in this vast crowd of people.

Everyone, well, maybe not everyone, but a lot of people knew that necromancers were always powerhouses in any sort of stories, they were one man armies after all.

And it only got worse once they leveled up more and more and got more skills, just look at any sort of webnovel that had a necromancer.

And Kai swore on The Ever-changing that if that necromancer got some sort of corpse explosion skill at some point then he would personally sue the system. That skill was always OP as hell.

If he had to fight the necromancer at some point, what were the chances that he could win?

By the end of the tutorial, that brown haired man had an army of thirty, including the four graveyard guardians and his overpowered armoured sidekick.

And he was maximum level thirty right now, who knows how many creatures he could have under his control in a hundred levels time?

Meanwhile Kai was an army of two, which then became one whenever he got in an actual fight because he had to fuse with Umbra to become much stronger.

So with that all in mind, Kai made a serious resolution with a nod of his head.

He was, in no way shape or form, going to fuck around with the necromancer. He had seen and read plenty of situations where people would underestimate necromancers, saying that they were personally weak and all that. Well Kai would just remain silent and look away.

In fact, Kai would go out of his way to form a positive relationship with that necromancer as he certainly knew that he wouldn't want to be against him. Even though Kai could be said to be a bit of an idiot, he wasn't that stupid.

Necromancers were a group of people one shouldn't piss off, and Kai would stick by that rule.

After the screen turned black once more, another round of applause rang out. Even though it wasn't as loud as the one for the hot guy in fifth place, this one seemed to have a lot more sincerity.

That man had survived an absolutely dreadful situation all by himself after all, even though he did get a little lucky by finding that book that let him become a necromancer.

"I can see that you all liked those highlights, I did too. The grit that man had is certainly commendable, and what a journey he had.

And while some of you might just chalk it down to him being lucky, luck is also a skill. One would have to know how to use their luck to the fullest to make use of their abilities.

Tenth place could be said to have gotten lucky due to the fact that they received that item from a situation that was out of her control.

Seventh place could be said to have gotten lucky because he would have been crushed under that dragons tail if the tutorial had ended a few seconds later.

In fact, everyone in the top ten could be said have gotten lucky. Their skills, classes, items, even allies, all of that stems from luck.

Luck is the originator of everything, one cannot get far if they don't have enough luck to match their skills."

Everyone remained silent after The Host's speech about luck. Quite frankly, Kai whole heartedly agreed. He would have died many times if he hadn't got lucky, every single choice he made had some aspect of luck to them.

Honestly, Kai wouldn't be surprised if be could be considered luckier than the necromancer in second place.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

"Now, what would be a good reward for someone of that calibre?

It would have to be something useful, something versatile. No necromancer is the same after all, each could have a different specialty.

So, for second place's reward, he shall receive a twenty percent bonus to his point total, a choice between five creature corpses that he can choose one to reanimate and a seventy percent discount on one item of his choosing in the tutorial shop."

That was... quite a good reward. A big bonus to his points, which he should have quite a lot of considering what he had killed. The angel had also completetly skipped a fifteen percent bonus, going right to twenty percent. Which wasn't something to complain about, in fact, it would be even better as it meant that first place would probably receive something higher than twenty percent.

But a choice of corpses that he can pick one to add to his army, Kai didn't even want to imagine what sort of horrible creatures were out there in the vast multiverse. He had no idea how many Subdimensions there were, all he knew was that there was five kingdoms that populated the main dimension.

And what sort of races were even out there. If there was demons like the ones in Kai's previous Scribe of the Archdemon Belphegor class option and the Nation of Lust that his master had given him that play of. That meant that there had to be succubuses, incubuses, Archdemons, and presumably weaker demons like imps and such.

And there was also beasts like Galaxy Eaters that were able to create gods by eating apples. The multiverse was vast, and so was the amount of creatures present in it.

Kai couldn't even begin to guess what those five corpses could be of or what abilities they would have, but that just gave him another reason not to piss off that necromancer.

And a seventy percent discount... Legendary's were presumably the highest rarity of item, assuming that were wasn't a higher rating, meaning that they would have been the most expensive. A seventy percent definitely made a purchase more worth it, especially if it was something that would be out of their price range.

The necromancer was maybe not the strongest out of everyone that was shown in the top ten, but they definitely had the most potential out of the lot. That was why those rewards were so incredible for him.

"Now, nine places have been revealed and all that is left is the heavily sought after first place. A place so iconic that whoever gets it is almost guaranteed to be bought by a powerful empire or being. Their growth is basically guaranteed with the resources they will receive.

But this tutorials first place is a little different. To be quite honest with all of you present, this person in first place is actually not the strongest out of you all.

That doesn't mean they are weak, they would definitely be able to beat nearly all of you, but I am unsure how it would play out if they were to fight some of the other participants in the top ten.

However, this participant's growth, the level of skill they managed to achieve with their abilities in the span of a month, and how they showed themselves is what made the voters put them in first place."

Well, turns out it wasn't The Host alone in deciding the top ten, they had a group of voters.

"This participant managed to catch the eye of quite a few voters, meaning they will be quite sought after once this meeting ends. All I can say is that I wish them well on their journey as they have a good future ahead of them.

But since this participant's journey is so special, it would be a crime to show a few of their highlights and call it a day. No, for the participant in first place, we will show their entire story.

Their growth was much, much more prominent when compared to others in the top ten.

Take fifth place for example, they had gotten used to their swordsmanship quickly due to the fact that they had used a blade previously and the fact their personality suited it.

And eight place had their hard goal of revenge to guide them down their path, only helping them to grow quicker.

But first place... They, quite frankly, had none of that. They were the weakest of the weak in the beginning.

In fact, I'll share a little secret with you all, this participant in first place was in the final ten to qualify for the tutorial. If they had started their little training escapade even a day later..."

The angel smiled sweetly as she drew a line over her neck with her thumb.

Everyone present knew what the angel was insinuating.

Kai had another thought in his mind when she said that, but another one popped in, a much more important thought.

What does she mean by that? What happened to those who didn't qualify?

Even though Kai and some others were curious by what she meant, the angel quickly skipped over and kept talking.

"So, without further ado, I give you the journey of the participant who managed to achieve first place."

The screen started to chance for presumably the final time. The scenery that appeared was a familair one as it had been showed in previous rankings.

Kai's eyes widened at the sight, his breath leaving his throat.

In the centre of the gargantuan screen was a red haired boy sitting on a rock while holding a rather basic looking dagger.
