As the years passed, rumors of Spider-Man's disappearance spread like wildfire throughout the city. Some believed he had perished that fateful day, while others clung to the hope that he was still out there, fighting some villains.
Edward Wilson stood at the helm of S.H.I.E.L.D., the organization he started because of his son Michael's idea. In the five years since Michael's disappearance, Edward had poured his heart and soul into building S.H.I.E.L.D. into a formidable force for good.
Despite everything he did, Edward still felt very sad because his son Michael wasn't there. It made him feel empty inside. He thought about Michael all the time, wondering what will happened to him in that ice.
As Edward Wilson walked with sad expression through the busy halls of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, his thoughts were full of his son, Michael, who had been trapped by the ice.
Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice interrupting his deep thinking.
"S-sir," the voice called out, hesitant yet respectful.
Edward turned towards the sound, his gaze falling upon Loe Halloway, a trusted ally and a friend of Michael's, known to many as the New Angel. Despite the weight of his responsibilities, Edward couldn't help but feel a flicker of warmth at the sight of Loe's familiar face.
"Loe," Edward greeted with a tired but genuine smile. "How's your day been?"
Loe returned the smile, though there was a hint of concern in his eyes. "I'm doing fine, sir," he replied, his tone reflecting the weight of their shared burden. Then, after a brief pause, he ventured to ask the question that lingered on both their minds. "How's Michael?"
The mention of his son's name caused a wave of sorrow to wash over Edward's heart. He paused for a brief moment, gathering his composure before replying. His voice trembled slightly with emotion as he spoke, "It's the same as before," he admitted, his gaze drifting momentarily to the floor. "No progress at all. He's still stuck in that ice."
The sadness in Edward's eyes did not go unnoticed by Loe, who offered a reassuring nod. "Don't worry, sir," he said softly, his voice filled with unwavering confidence. "I believe Michael will return. I'm certain of it."
Edward took a moment to compose himself, feeling a glimmer of comfort in Loe's unwavering faith. "Thank you, Loe," he said, his voice tinged with gratitude. "Your words mean a lot."

[Chris Side]
As Chris sat alone at a table in the bustling restaurant, his mind drifted to thoughts of his friend – Emily.
Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by the sight of Emily entering the restaurant. A warm smile spread across his face as he greeted her, "Hey, Emily."

Emily returned the smile, her eyes lighting up as she approached Chris. "Hey, Chris," she replied, taking a seat opposite him.
Chris couldn't help but admire Emily's outfit, a subtle reminder of her newfound career as a journalist. "You really became a journalist, huh?" he remarked, a hint of pride in his voice.
Emily chuckled softly, a sense of accomplishment evident in her demeanor. "And you became a successful businessman," she countered, her gaze meeting his. Then, her expression turned sad for a moment. "I wish Mark, Mary, and Michael could see how far we've come."
Chris's heart twinged with longing as he echoed Emily's sentiment. "Me too," he murmured, his voice tinged with emotion. "I'm hoping for them to see this."
"Hey, at least we could see them soon, I'm sure of it," Chris reassured Emily, trying to comfort her.
Emily nodded, her expression hopeful. "Yeah, me too, Afterall I'm waiting," she replied. Then, a thought crossed her mind, and said "I hope that Mark is reincarnated now so that I could see him."
Chris nodded in understanding, explaining gently, "You're still searching for his reincarnated self. You know that Mark will have his memories intact, and he will remember us, even if he changes on the outside, he'll still be the same person inside. He'll find his way back to us, probably when he's a bit older, like around 15. No way he's coming back as a little kid." He chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood.
But then Chris's expression turned somber, his thoughts drifting to Michael. "I'm really worried about Michael," he admitted, his voice tinged with sadness. "He gave up everything to bring back Mark and Mary, to ensure they'd still remember us. Now, he's stuck in that frozen state, and we have no clue when he'll break free." He paused, a sense of uncertainty creeping into his words. "And I'm afraid to experiment his frozen figures. What if it ends up hurting him? That's why I'm holding out for his return."
Emily nodded sadly, understanding his concerns. "Chris, what if Michael, Mark, and Mary don't come back for like, a hundred years or even thousands of years? We have no idea. And what if, by the time they do come back, we're not around anymore?"
Chris nodded, considering Emily's words before responding earnestly, "Well, you're a half-vampire, so you could probably live for, like, hundreds of years."
Then Chris's voice remained calm and comforting as he continued, "And as for me, Even if that happens, I'll do whatever it takes to see them again. I can't imagine not being able to reunite with them." His voice trembled with emotion as he added, "We just have to keep hoping and waiting for them to come back to us, no matter how long it takes."

As Chris and Emily were getting ready to eat, things got noisy in the restaurant. Chris looked over to see what was going on. He saw the waiter talking to a man with a beard. The man looked worried because he couldn't find his money. Chris wanted to help.
"Excuse me, what's the problem here?" Chris inquired, his voice calm but firm as he addressed the manager.
The manager explained the situation, stating that the bearded man hadn't paid for his meal. The man, visibly flustered, insisted that he had lost his money and couldn't pay.
Chris didn't hesitate. "I'll pay for him. How much?" he asked, turning to the manager.
"2000 dollars," the manager replied, raising an eyebrow in surprise at the hefty sum.
Without hesitation, Chris handed over the money, his sense of empathy overriding any concern about the cost.
"Kid, you don't have to do that," the bearded man protested, his gratitude evident in his tone.
Chris shook his head, dismissing the notion. "It's no problem. Consider it a random act of kindness," he replied with a shrug. "Just pay it forward someday."
As the bearded man, expressed his gratitude once more, he turned towards Chris with a genuine smile.
"By the way, kid," Middle Aged Man said, his voice carrying a rugged yet friendly tone, "My name is Logan. Don't forget that I owe you one." Then Logan bid chris goodbye.
Once Logan had left, Chris turned to Emily with a bemused expression. "That was strange," he remarked, his brow furrowed in confusion. "He seemed oddly familiar, don't you think?"
Emily nodded in agreement, her mind racing with possibilities. "Yeah, there was something about him," she replied, her voice tinged with curiosity. "But I can't quite put my finger on it."
As they pondered over the encounter with Logan, Chris's stomach growled loudly, reminding them both of their hunger. With a chuckle, Chris suggested, "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm starving. Shall we order?"
Emily grinned, relieved to change the subject. "Definitely," she replied, her stomach rumbling in agreement. "Let's eat."
