As I burst into the room, my senses immediately honed in towards Ted and Mary. My heart sank at the sight of Ted using her as a hostage. Anger surged through me, but I forced myself to remain calm, knowing that any rash actions could endanger Mary further.
"Let her go, Ted," I demanded, my voice firm and commanding. "She has nothing to do with this. This is between you and me."
Ted spat out his words with venom, cursing me as he blamed me for his thwarted plans. "Fuck You, Spider-Man," he said. "If it wasn't for your meddling, she would be mine by now."
I shot back at him, refusing to let his insults go unanswered. "You're the one who revealed your location, you idiot," I retorted angrily.
Ted's response was filled with arrogance, confident in his belief that I would track him down regardless. "I know you would have found me anyway," he sneered. "That's just how relentless you are."
"Enough talk, Spider-Man," Ted said, his voice filled with contempt. "Let's settle this once and for all."
As Ted summoned his clone to attack me, the situation grew even more dire.
Then Ted threatened me, " "If you move, Spider-Man, this girl gets hurt."
"Bastard," I muttered under my breath, realizing the gravity of the situation. If I made a wrong move, Mary would pay the price.
With Ted watching closely, his evil aura making my blood boil. I was determined not to let him win, also not at the cost of Mary's safety.
As his clone lunged at me, I braced myself for the fight.
Trapped between Ted's clone and the threat to Mary, I had to get creative with my defense. With my movement restricted, I knew I couldn't rely on my usual agility and reflexes. Instead, I focused on using my surroundings to my advantage, looking for any opportunity to turn the tide in my favor.
As the clone kept hitting me, I couldn't move an inch. But I kept fighting. I wouldn't give up. Mary's safety depended on it.
"Left hook, jab straight, uppercut!" Ted commanded his clone, his laughter ringing in the air as I struggled to defend myself, unable to move due to the threat to Mary's safety.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Mary's tearful cries pierced through the chaos, her voice filled with fear and desperation. "No, please..." she pleaded, her words choked with emotion.
But Ted only laughed cruelly, reveling in his perceived victory. "Hahaha, look at you now, Spider-Man. I win!" he taunted, his voice dripping with malice.
As the clone continued to pummel me, I gritted my teeth against the pain, refusing to yield. With each blow, I felt my strength weaken, but I refused to give up hope. Mary's safety was my priority, driving me to endure the punishment without faltering.
Trembling with desperation, Mary begged, "Please, don't hurt him. Stop this." Her voice trembled with a blend of fear and empathy, her deep concern for my well-being apparent in every word.
I locked eyes with her, silently conveying my determination to end this without any harm coming to either of us. "I'll do everything I can to keep us safe, Mary," I assured her, my voice filled with conviction. "Just trust me."
Ted's sinister laughter filled the air, "You're too late, Spider-Man," he taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "Soon, she'll be mine, and you can't do a damn thing to stop me."
When I first met Mary, I saw her as nothing more than a friend. Despite knowing her feelings for me, I couldn't allow myself to reciprocate because of the age difference, Iam older mentally and younger physically. But as I watched her tears fall, I realized that my feelings for her ran deeper than I had initially acknowledged. Despite the age gap, I couldn't bear to see her in distress. I wanted to protect her, to keep her safe from harm.
With newfound determination, I turned to Ted and declared firmly, "You're mistaken. She belongs with me." My voice rang out with conviction, fueled by the need to safeguard Mary from any further harm.
Summoning the flashlight from my inventory, I aimed it directly at Ted, knowing that this time his resistance to light had faded. So Im going to end this once and for all.
"Say goodbye to the darkness, Ted," I declared, my voice unwavering as I unleashed the full force of the flashlight's beam upon him.
As the light enveloped Ted, his agonized cry filled the room. "Argh!" he screamed, his voice laced with pain and desperation. "What... what is this?!" his words were strained, choked with disbelief as he struggled to comprehend the sudden turn of events. The once confident and menacing figure was now reduced to a vulnerable and terrified soul.
You... you think you can defeat me with... with mere light?" Ted's voice wavered; his tone filled with desperation as he attempted to muster some strength
As Ted's dark armor faded away, I saw fear in his eyes for the first time. It was a big change from how confident and mean he was before. It showed how light can beat darkness.
With Ted injured by the burst of light, I acted quickly. Moving fast, I closed the gap between us and disarmed him. In one smooth motion, I freed Mary from his grip, pulling her into my arms and holding her tightly to keep her safe.
Turning to Mary, I offered her a comforting smile. "You okay?" I asked gently, my worry clear in my tone.
Mary nodded, her eyes expressing her gratitude. "Yeah, thanks to you," she said, her voice shaky as she hugged me tightly.
As Mary hugged me tightly, her voice softened. "I know who you are, Spider-Man," she whispered.
Mary's revelation caught me off guard, but I quickly composed myself, focusing on the immediate threat at hand. "We can talk about that later," I replied softly, my gaze shifting back to Ted, who was now struggling to stand.
With Ted now powerless, I landed a decisive blow to his head, knocking him unconscious. I swiftly webbed his body from head to toe, ensuring that he couldn't escape or use his powers to cause any further harm.
Turning back to Mary, I couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion as she confirmed her recognition of me.
"You know me?" I asked, my voice filled with confusion.
Her eyes met mine, filled with love and certainty. "Yes, I know you, you said my name back then," she chuckled then replied softly, her words carrying the weight of her emotions. "And also the way you comfort me, that's how I realized you were Michael Wilson," she continued, her voice trembling with emotion. "The one I love."
Thats when I Realize the depth of my feelings for her, I now embraced the truth—I was no longer Jonathan Anderson. I had become Michael Wilson, and my heart belonged to the girl named Mary Rose Fletcher.
In that moment of realization, we shared a sweet kiss under the gentle moonlight, feeling as if everything else melted away, it felt like a scene from a Romance of the Dawn, where love blossomed amidst the soft glow of the night.
