Vulture wings shelter

He looked at the crawler and laughed silly while showing a middle finger to it.

“You wait for me, it won't take long. I will be back to take care of you,” said Kael with a stern gaze on his face.

He touched the bleeding injury on his body and continued, “I will return double what you gave me today.”

Tired, he sat on the road and opened the medicine section in the shop.

“Full recovery costs 50 points? Damn it, a bandage is enough for me. Since I have equipped the level 1 Zombie leader title, it won't take long for me to heal normal flesh injuries,” Kael thought for a moment and clicked on the bandage.

A bandage only costs 1 point, so right now, it was a reasonable purchase for him.

The bandage appeared in front of him, hovering in the air. He moved his hand to touch it, and his wound was completely bandaged automatically.

“I really like this feature,” Kael murmured while looking at the bandage on the injury.

“System, except equipping the titles, is there any other way to grow stronger?”

Meanwhile, at the Vulture Wings shelter….

“Where is Tris and Fre?” asked the middle-aged man with black circles around both of his eyes.

“Shit, if his brother Fre is a scum, then he is the head of the department for the scums,” Baldy murmured inwardly while looking at the middle-aged man.

“I'm asking you? Can't you hear me?” the middle-aged man raised his voice with an annoyed look on his face.

“Boss, Tris and Fre, both of them, were killed by the variant,” said Baldy, slightly bowing his head.

“Variant? Is that variant from the Vulture Claws shelter?” asked the middle-aged man with a frown on his jiggly face.

Baldy shook his head and said, “No, boss, he is an outsider. He is not from this region; I saw him here for the first time.”

“Outsider? What is he doing here? Is he here to take over my shelter and replace me as the boss?” the middle-aged man murmured with a stern gaze on his jiggly face.

“Are you stupid or more than stupid? If he wanted to replace you, he would have come here first without wasting time roaming outside the region filled with zombies,” Baldy thought with a speechless look on his face.

“If he is really here to replace me, I have to prepare in advance, arrange an emergency meeting,” the middle-aged man commanded, saliva falling out of his mouth. After Baldy walked away, wiping off the saliva that fell on him, the middle-aged man thought inwardly, “I don't believe I can't take down a variant who is all alone while I have the whole shelter at my disposal.”

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“This idiot, yuck…I have to bathe more than three times to wash away this saliva that fell all over me,” Baldy murmured inwardly with an irritated look on his face.

In the meeting room….

“Why do you think the boss summoned us now?”

“Who knows? I was enjoying my long-cherished expired chicken jerky in my room, and I was dragged here. Now I have to postpone eating it.”

"Expired chicken jerky? Damn you, how can you be so heartless and eat it all by yourself? Come on, give some to me."

"Fuck you, it's mine. I'm not going to share it with anyone."

"10%? No… no… 20%… no… 30%. If you don't share it with me, I'm going to beat the crap out of you now."

"I'm not even going to give you the size of a fingernail, don't mention 10%."

"You asked for it."

The guy shouted while placing two hands close to his mouth, "Everyone, this guy has expired chicken jerky."

"What?"

"I want it, give it to me."

"No, give it to me."

"You two, fuck off, it belongs to me."

"Belongs to your grandma," the jerky guy punched the guy's face who said ‘it belongs to me.'

Baldy, who was at the corner of the room, shook his head after seeing everything that's happening in the meeting room.

*Clap… Clap…*

Everyone became dead silent the moment they heard the clapping sound. Everyone turned to look at the person who entered the room with bruises all over their faces.

“Everyone, this is an emergency meeting. Tris and my brother Fre are dead, they were searching for food,” announced the middle-aged man with a jiggly face.

“What?”

“How did they die?”

“Who knows?”

*Clap…clap…*

“They were killed by a variant,” said the middle-aged man.

“Variant?”

“Oh my god, it's a variant!”

“Variants are more dangerous than zombies in this apocalyptic world.”

“As you all think, variants are indeed dangerous, but he could come after you next. Do you all want to wait for your death or fight back for your lives?” The middle-aged man took a small gap and looked around, then continued, “There is nothing to fear. That variant, he is all alone, and look at us, we are more than 100 members. What's there to fear? We will ambush and crush that variant thoroughly.”

“Yeah…”

*****

“We will crush that variant.”

“Since you guys are just normal human beings, I don't know how stupid you are going against a variant. I'm not going to participate in this suicide mission. You all will soon understand how scary that variant is,” thought Baldy while looking at the riled-up crowd in the room.

“Everyone, divide into ten teams with ten members in each team. Start searching all over our region. Whoever finds his whereabouts, immediately inform me directly. Don't engage in the fight by yourselves. Whoever gives the whereabouts of the variant, everyone in the team will get one slice of bread as a reward,” said the middle-aged man in an authoritative tone.

“Yeah…”

“Let's go….”

At the present…

Kael, who is oblivious to everything, listens to the system.

[Another way to raise your strength is purchasing stat points. You need to spend 50 points to exchange for one stat point.]

“What? I need to spend 50 points just to exchange for one stat point? Are you kidding me?” Kael exclaimed with a shocked look on his face.

“Isn't there any other way to raise my strength?”

[There are many, but they all have severe side effects, and you will never reach the apex in this apocalyptic world if you use all of those unorthodox methods to raise your strength.]
