"Tris, what happened?" asked Baldy with an annoyed look on his face.
"Fre, Baldy, look," said Tris, pointing her finger in Kael's direction.
Both turned in the direction she was pointing, and their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
"In... instant noodles," they exclaimed simultaneously, disbelief written all over their faces.
"He... instant noodles... How is this possible?" said Fre, making a hand gesture.
Baldy came back to his senses and shook his head. "Now I stand by my words more firmly. There is no way I'm going to fight with that variant. He killed a zombified alligator, which is equal in strength to a level 1 zombie leader, and now he is eating instant noodles. His background is not something us scavengers can even imagine. I'm sure that frail body appearance is all just a disguise to fool low-level survivors like us."
After hesitating for a moment, Fre and Tris nodded their heads in agreement with Baldy's words.
Meanwhile….
"System, tell me why the zombified alligator suddenly woke up from its sleep?"
[Host, that zombified alligator wasn't sleeping; it's in the middle of its evolution to the next level, but someone interrupted its evolution.]
"Evolution..." Kael wiped the sweat from his forehead and pondered, "Before evolution, that zombified alligator was that strong. What if it completes its evolution?"
He stopped thinking there, not daring to continue further.
However, he realized something, furrowing his brows, and asked, "You said someone interrupted the zombified alligator's evolution. Do you know who they are and where they are?"
[Scanning initiated... Found the target... Extracting details from the database... Extraction completed... There are five people found on the north side at a 1km distance, and they are called scavengers. One of the girls, named Tris, used a handmade sniper to interrupt the zombified alligator's evolution.]
"Tris..." he murmured and moved toward the north side at full speed.
He couldn't control his speed; he nearly crashed into the building. It took him a few minutes to get used to his newly acquired speed.
"So right now, I'm faster than the cheetah, right?" Kael was amused as he approached the five-member team and hid in the shadows.
"Brother Fre, it would have been really great if that zombified alligator killed that variant. We could have scavenged those instant noodles and had a small celebration at night," said Tris, her face displaying disappointment.

"Yeah, if we had just waited until he escaped from that zombified alligator and ambushed him, we would have gotten the instant noodles," said Fre, his face showing annoyance.
"You two, will you stop it already and focus on the work we came here for?" shouted Baldy, his face stern.
"System, did you hear what I heard? Are they talking about instant noodles?" asked Kael, confusion evident on his face.
[Yes.]
"Yeah, in this apocalyptic world, instant noodles are a super luxury only very few people can afford," Kael murmured, realization dawning on his face.
"If that's what they want, they could have asked me. I would have given them one each without any issue. But targeting me, playing with my life, and even aiming for my death is unforgivable. Everyone involved in it has to die. I'm not my past self; I'm a nightmare even their souls will fear in the afterlife," Kael murmured inwardly, his face stern.
He jumped in one leap and landed beside Tris.
Before anyone could react to what was about to happen, Kael grabbed Tris by the throat and lifted her into the air. "Tris, it's you who woke up that zombified alligator, right?" he asked in a low voice, but the voice carried like a sound straight from hell, heard by everyone around him.
The pressure emanating from Kael's body caused everyone's muscles to tense.
"Brother, we didn't mean any harm to you; it's just a misunderstanding. Please spare our lives," said Baldy, kneeling on the ground.
"Of course, I will treat others how they treat me. Since you people played with my life, I'll do the same. But don't worry, as ruthless as I may seem, I won't harm innocent people," said Kael.
He turned to Tris and asked her, "Tell me the names of the people involved. I'll give you a quick and painless death."
"Brother, don't... don't... don't kill me... I... I will do anything you want... I will be your... your... sex toy," pleaded Tris, tears streaming down her face as she gasped for air.
"Now death is just a few inches away from you. Do you understand the value of life now? Do you understand how scary death is?" Kael said with a tsking sound. "Even though you understand now, it's already too late. Your death is imminent.”
“ Crack…. Crack…”
He threw Tris's lifeless body to the ground after strangling her to death.
Her black pupils rolled up, blood flowing from the corners of her mouth. Fre urinated in his pants after witnessing her death.
Just minutes ago, they were chatting happily, but now she lay dead on the ground.
He regretted getting involved with this demon. Wouldn't it have been better if he had just done the work he was supposed to after leaving the shelter?
But there's no cure for regret. He stared blankly at Kael, knowing he would never escape from this demon, and resigned himself to a life full of regrets.
"With that frail mental fortitude, you dare to mess with me? You can go and join her. Won't she be all alone without at least one of her teammates?" Kael said with a sinister smile.
With a swipe of his hand, he severed Fre's head, and it slowly rolled on the ground, blood spraying and drenching the earth.
Kael turned to the remaining team members and said, "Remember what happened here. From now on, live your lives carefully."
After speaking, he casually walked away from the scene without looking back.
"This is what happens when we mess with someone we're not supposed to mess with," said Baldy, staring blankly in the direction Kael walked away.
