[Everything is ready, host. Do you want me to start crafting?]
“Yes.”
1 sec…2 sec….3 sec…..
“Grrrroar….”
Swoosh….
Boom….
“Fuck, it hurts.” Kael, who was hit by the roller, crashed into the wall and crawled back with a painful look on his face.
“Is it done?”
[Not yet.]
“How much time is still needed?”
[1.11111 milliseconds.]
“Your grandma….”
[Crafting is completed, host. Do you want to store it in the inventory or equip it now?]
“You are really lucky that you don't have a physical body. If you had one, then I would have kicked your ass thoroughly. Fuck, I want to equip the weapon right now.”
[Ok, humble request is processing… Processing is completed.]
“Humble request?” Kael was left speechless as a baseball bat appeared in front of him, hovering in the air.
He touched it, and it disappeared from the spot where it was hovering, appearing in his hand. He tightened his grip and swung the baseball bat at the roller, which was preparing to attack him.
Boom….
The baseball bat hit the roller, and spikes pierced its body. The roller's flesh and blood scattered all over the ground as it crashed down, enveloped in dust. Kael raised his hand to wave it in the air, dispersing the dust. The roller slowly crawled out of the stone debris, looking at him menacingly.
It moved its hand to touch the bleeding injury on its back and growled painfully, raising its head to the sky.
"Now, let's begin the real fight," Kael said, bruises covering his body.
The roller immediately contracted into a disc shape, intending to drill into the earth.
Kael, who anticipated its move, moved close to it and interrupted its drilling, delivering a heavy blow with the baseball bat.
Boom….
The baseball bat pierced its chest as he stomped on it, using all the strength in his body to push it further into its chest.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Grrrroar….
A painful shriek escaped from the roller as a hole formed in its chest, and organs mixed with flesh and blood fell out. Its lifeless body collapsed to the ground.
[Congratulations for killing the level 1 zombie leader. You earned 50 points, with 4 more level 1 zombie leaders left to complete the mission.]
“Ha…ha….ha….” Kael wiped the sweat from his forehead and sent the baseball bat to the inventory. Of course, the inventory wasn't free; he had to pay 1 point as rent per week.
“Maybe this Zombie leader's body may come in handy in the future. Store it in the inventory, but in a special compartment,” said Kael.
The Zombie leader's body disappeared, and he sat down to restore his lost energy and stamina.
After a few minutes, he took a deep breath and stood up, moving towards the next zombie leader.
This time, he bought roller shoes from the shop and wore them. Of course, it took him a whole 2 hours to master the roller shoes.
With double speed, he reached the next level 1 zombie leader's hideout.
“Ha, so smelly, I feel like puking. This thing lives in a place like this. I can imagine how ugly this zombie leader is going to be,” he thought to himself as he moved forward inside the sewer.
Suddenly, something jelly-like fell on his shoulder. He reached out his hand to touch it and brought his fingers close to his nose.
“Puke…”
He nearly vomited all the instant noodles in his stomach; he felt very nauseous.
“What kind of shit fell on me?” He angrily raised his head to look at his top.
An ugly creature without eyes was slowly crawling on the ceiling.
“Aren't these things crawlers? Wow, they didn't look that scary in the Resident Evil movie, but they look very scary in real life. Damn, will these things be as strong as those crawlers?”
“Grrrroar….”
All the jelly-like substance fell on the ground.
“Fuck…fuck….stop growling while you are on the ceiling…damn you,” he wiped the jelly-like substance that fell on him and picked up a huge rock. Then, furrowing his brows, he focused completely on the crawler and shot the stone at it like an arrow leaving a bow.
It pierced into it, and the crawler fell down, twisting for a moment before its lifeless body hit the ground.
“That's it. Now you know who's the boss here?” Kael made hand gestures with a silly smile on his face.
But his happiness didn't last long; he realized something. “System, this crawler is not a zombie leader?”
[Yes, it's not.]
“Damn it,” he felt the hot air at the back of his neck and slowly turned back, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
“Grrrroar…”
The crawler, twice the size of the one he just killed and with sharp nails, attacked him at lightning speed. He wasn't even able to see the incoming attack; the nails pierced into his body, a painful shriek escaping his mouth as he crashed into the wall.
He felt dizzy, the injuries on his body bleeding profusely.
“System, at what level is this goddamn crawler?”
He clearly knows there is no way a level 1 zombie leader will harm him to this extent.
[It was at level 2 and on the verge of evolving into level 3.]
“What the fuck? Didn't I only ask the mini scanner to scan for level 1 Zombie leader?”
[Host, it's very common for the same kind of zombies to coexist even though there is a level difference between them.]
“Fuck, you mean there is still a level 1 zombie leader in this place?” Kael felt his head spinning.
“He didn't think twice; he is not yet strong enough to face a level 2 zombie leader, not to mention an add on level 1 zombie leader,” he rolled aside to dodge the incoming attack and used the roller shoes to sprint away from the level 2 zombie leader without turning back.
Soon he came out of the sewers. He turned back to see if the level 2 zombie leader was still chasing him, but to his surprise, it stopped at the entrance of the sewer. It tried to extend one of its limbs, but the crawler immediately withdrew it the moment its skin was fried by sunlight.
