"Even though he's a variant and alone, and we have the advantage in numbers, we're going to beat the crap out of him and drag him to the boss," said the young lady, gently brushing her hair back as it fell forward.
"Oh, can you explain how you plan to beat the crap out of me?" asked Kael, his mouth close to her ear.
"Hehe, I use my ability to turn objects into liquid or solid states however I like. I'll trap him in the ground and slap his face until it looks like a pig's," said the young lady, raising her chin proudly.
"You have a really cool ability," Kael remarked, surprised.
"Of course," she nodded smugly.
"Wait, what the fuck…" She realized she wasn't talking to her brother, turning to find him unconscious, drool dripping from his mouth on the ground.
She reached for a hand knife, intending to stab Kael, but he was quicker. He grabbed her hand, pulling her into his embrace, their faces close, their rapid breaths mingling. Her face flushed deep red.
She attempted to use her legs to crush his balls, but he quickly grabbed them and said, "Can't you ladies use some more innovative tactics to beat a guy?"
Reaching to hold her chin, he sniffed her face. "Hmm, you smell nice. Can I take a bite of you?"
She widened her eyes, fear evident.
"Hey... hey... don't be scared. I'm not a cannibal, just joking," Kael said with a silly smile.
She released a sigh of relief. "But still, I want to eat you," she replied upon hearing his words, her heart skipping a beat as she glared angrily at him.
"You look really cute even when you're angry," Kael said, gently caressing her face.
"I don't know what your so-called boss is offering you. I'll give you double, no, four times more than what your boss gives to you and your siblings. Join me," Kael asked, baring his teeth.
"Hmph, first tell me what you can offer. Then I'll decide if you have what it takes to make me join you," the young lady said with an aloof expression.
"Hmm, the dominating type? I like it," Kael murmured, a pack of bread appearing between his lips.
He held her hands with his right hand and reached for the bread pack with his left, saying, "You can have this bread for every meal. It's fresh, not expired."
"What?" the young lady exclaimed, shock on her face. Immediately changing her expression, she said, "Hmph, just bread. How can both of us siblings join you just for bread?"
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Kael noticed drool sliding down the corners of her mouth. He pulled her closer and gently licked the corners of her mouth. "Hmm, sweet. Do you have sugar in your saliva?"
Returning the bread pack to the inventory, Kael produced packs of sugar and milk in his left hand. "Sugar and milk, both fresh and not expired. Now what do you think? Is this enough for you and your siblings to join me?"
She widened her eyes at the sight of the sugar and milk. She had heard of them but never seen them in her life. After hesitating for a moment, she reluctantly nodded her head. Kael wasted no time and planted a kiss directly on her lips. She felt electricity course through her body, causing her to shake violently. It took a few seconds for her to regain her senses and understand what was happening. She struggled, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't move her head back. Kael smiled and slowly pulled away, a trail of saliva connecting their lips.
"What does this mean?" she asked, glaring at him.
"Meaning? It's just our promise that you're joining me," Kael said with a carefree expression.
"Promise?" The young lady rolled her eyes at him and freed herself from his arms. It wouldn't be hard for him to hold her again if she reneged on her word, so he released her embrace. She moved towards her brother.
"Brother, wake up," she called for the first time.
"Brother, wake up," she called again.
"Brother, wake up," she said a third time, raising her leg and kicking his butt.
"Ah? Ouch... Ouch..." He sat up, rubbing his hips with a pained expression.
The young man, now fully awake, noticed Kael and quickly drew his handgun, aiming it at him.
The young lady clenched her fist and hit her brother's head. He reached up, holding his head, and gave her a questioning look.
"Stop, we're not fighting him. I've joined him," she declared, folding her arms.
"What do you mean you joined him?" asked the young man, bewildered.
"I said I joined him. That's what I mean. What other meaning could there be?" she replied, hitting his head again.
He held his head with both hands. "Why did you join him?"
"He's got fresh bread, sugar, and milk," she said, a bit of drool escaping from the corners of her mouth.
"What? Did I hear correctly? Did you just say fresh?" asked the young man, wide-eyed.
She nodded. "Yes."
"Really?" he asked incredulously.
She kicked his butt. "Yes! If not for those items, why would I agree to join him?"
"But why is your face so red? Are you okay?" the young man asked, moving closer to her.
"Stay away!" she slapped his face and continued, "Of course, it's because of a dust allergy."
"I've never seen you with a dust allergy," he said, looking thoughtful.
"I... I just developed a dust allergy," she said, her face flushing with embarrassment.
The young man glared at his sister for a few seconds, then relaxed and nodded. "Okay."
Kael approached the siblings and asked, "So what are your names?"
"First, we need to verify if these items are really fresh or not before we tell you our names," said the young man, frowning.
"Alright, let me prepare some coffee. You can have the bread with it," Kael said, arranging two stones on the ground and placing a few flammable objects between them.
A small container and a lighter appeared in his hand, and he slowly placed it on the stones, using the lighter to ignite the flammable objects.
