Early in the morning, I woke from a mild weight on my back, and a surprised scream from a tiny Goddess.
"Pef! What in the Heavens did you do in the Dungeon?" Hestia yelled and slapped my back.
"Fought goblins in first floor. They were very easy." I answered as the Goddess printed my new Falna on a paper.
"That's true, Hestia. And I only collected monster crystals he left behind." Lisa confirmed with a groggy voice.
"Yeah? Then why do you have a Development Ability already?" Hestia asked with a cute growl, while slamming the paper on the bed.
I glanced at the numbers.
Strength - I 0 > I 97
Endurance - I 0 > I 97
Dexterity - I 0 > I 97
Agility - I 0 > I 97
Abnormal Resistance - H
My Falna wasn't anything good. Barely any growth, except the new Ability.
"Come here Sarah!" Hestia demanded and then printed her update Falna. And screamed again.
I took a peak at Lisa's Falna.
Strength - I 0 > I 50
Endurance - I 0 > I 50
Dexterity - I 0 > I 50
Agility - I 0 > I 50
Magic - I 0 > I 1
Abnormal Resistance - H
Hey! Not fair! How come my companion got Magic before I did?
Both girls turned to stare at me for an explanation. I just shrugged and pointed at the door. "Let get breakfast"
"Sit and explain, Mister!" my Goddess demanded while placing her arms under her impressive assets.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Sarah has mental powers?" I said with a careless tone.
Lisa's eyes began to glow as a warning. Just like that, use them on me and make me more resistant to Espers, I gloated inside.
"And you are no better, Sarah! Since when do you have mental powers?" Hestia asked, focusing on the next victim.
Lisa tried to vanish with her Stranger powers, but she wasn't strong enough to fool a God. After taking a few sidesteps and not losing Hestia and her glaring gaze, she sat down beside me. "These powers are new. I used to have different ones, back on Earth Bet." she admitted with a sad tone.
It took an hour for Lisa to explain her former life to our new Goddess, which I mostly glossed over. I knew most of that anyways.
"And you, Pef?" My Goddess asked in a softer voice.
"Nothing like that crazy stuff for me. I was a normal guy, when the thing happened and I arrived in Orario. But I do know that my companions will receive my own resistances as a bonus. Probably so I don't go crazy from loneliness or something like that." I explained in a casual tone.
Lisa frowned and took another glance at her own printed Falna.
Hestia scoffed, then grabbed our papers and threw them into the fireplace. "Well, you're certainly abnormal now, both of you."
"Breakfast?" Lisa proposed with a sneaky voice.
I passed a bag of valis to Hestia. "I'll go fight a few moths after that. Need to test my resistances inside the Dungeon."
Hestia grabbed her money and pointed at me. "Just don't die on me."
I smiled a bit too wide. My Ajin body made me immortal anyways. "Can't happen, Hestia. I am not a normal man anymore."
Much later, my body healed back after dying on Floor 7 and I returned beside Lisa who just sighed. "That power would have been so useful back home."
"The Dungeon is sentient. Keep your knowledge close." I muttered in a gentle voice as I began heading back upstairs.
Unless we directly attacked something, Lisa's Esper powers could keep both of us concealed from monsters or adventurers, which made diving into the Dungeon much safer than otherwise possible.
Not completely safe, of course. Some monsters were extremely lethal, and would kill you the instant they detected you. Some adventurers as well.
But I got to test and train my resistance skills and that was great. I could already ignore the moths and their magic dust.
On the other hand, the loot of this run was over 100 thousand valis, which promised a great deal of equipment for both of us.
And a new shirt for me, as my T-shirt was mostly bare threads now.
As expected, Hestia yelled again as she updated our Falna.
Strength - I 97 > G245
Endurance - I 97 > G245
Dexterity - I 97 > G245
Agility - I 97 > G245
Abnormal Resistance - G
Seemed perfectly normal to me.
