After the plan that they would take to get things done had been agreed upon, Alexandre sighed before leaving the hot air balloon, and reaching over to a large pile of sticks sitting on the ground in an enormous heap. “What are you doing?” asked Witchie with wonder, as she saw him pick up some of the sticks. “I’m going to start a fire.” he answered, before walking over to a pile of coal, and paper. “Isn’t that dangerous though?” Witchie then questioned, as he began to work his firemaking magic through the ability of chemical reactions. “No,” he responded, “But it is necessary.”. Witchie ran off the balloon, and over to the boy - “Why?” she asked him, as he pushed her off, so that she could not get hurt. “Because,” he started, “Aren’t you guys about to take off in the balloon?”. Witchie scratched her head, and then looked back at Elise, who was still inside, and now talking to the other children. “Elise?” she asked, before she looked over at her. “Where are we leaving to? We have to fix Linge!” she then added - with Elise running over to her now.
“Witchie, you’re dumb.” Elise said, while pointing up to a tower of gears, and more. “Linge crashed atop there - and we need to reach!” she then informed her, trying to make it seem more sensual. But, Witchie frowned. “Elise, you’re dumb.” she argued, now pointing up to the same structure - “Do you forget that I have a broom?” she asked, as a smile slowly grew on Elise’s face. “Witchie,” she laughed, “But you won’t be able to lift up Linge on your own - and carry her down - she’s much too big and heavy for you!” she giggled out, as Witchie stomped. “You underestimate my strength!” she whined, before screaming. “Hah!” she cried, as she faced Alexandre, who was holding a bit of the fire on a stick. “Be careful, you almost burned me!” she yelled at him, as he sighed in response. “You be careful,” he said, “And I did burn you” he continued - before walking off to the balloon. Meanwhile, Witchie felt at her hair and hat. “Witchie, take your hat off, I’ll check for you.” Elise said, in an assisting manner. Witchie groaned though. “I’m not taking my hat off - that’s what she burned!” she began to wail. Despite being her friend, Elise snickered. “It doesn’t matter, it’s black anyways.” she then said, trying to comfort her while still not being able to keep a straight face. Witchie stomped again, and now walked away, and to the balloon. When she stopped laughing, and falling on the ground - realising that property getting burned wasn’t that funny, Elise learnt that Witchie had left. “Witchie!” she screamed before running into the hot air balloon which Alexandre was now preparing. “Phew, not late.” she said when she got in, and Alexandre began to untie the cords and ropes that connected the balloon to the ground.
At the same time, Castille began to talk to Flawrin - “We’re going to fly!” she told Flawrin. Flawrin nodded, as she began to look at the edge of the balloon. “Uh-buh-buh!” Brittanica said as she pulled them away from such a place. “You’re both not being stupid here.” she said, as Nainai and Zenbu smiled from behind. “I could never be called stupid.” said Zenbu, “Nor, I.” said Nainai, before - wait, narrator break here - is it just me who notices something? These children are always calling each other stupid and dumb, and stuff? These kids are wild, am I right? Moving on though -
The balloon began to lift up and off the ground with the children all in it, and they all smiled as it did. With a smile, Stelline identified different machine parts that were in the pile as they rose. “So much!” she then shouted, as Lune patted her shoulder. “I see why Lady Gael’ doesn’t let you out much.” she said at the same time. Stelline’s excitement dropped - “No more depressedness Lune.” she told her. “Let’s be happy for once - happy that we’re not in the Hikidama Rush, or Sekai Rebirth Project anymore.” she then said, as a grin came back to her face. Lune’s mouth opened with a quiet gasp as she thought about the statements. In her brain, she could reimagine how she and Stelline, as well as the other members of the Space Club, such as Yu, would work for hours day and night, just to understand the power, and harness, of the Hikidama. Now, something that was once such a crazy concept to her, was so familiar. Hence, a smile grew on her face, as Stelline jumped.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
“Lune!” Stelline shouted, as Lune came near to her. “What is it?” she asked, before Stelline lifted her arm.
Lune smiled and blushed - “I already know, now.” she said as Stelline showed off her watch, which was now glowing brown and orange. “Congratulations…” she then added, as Stelline continued to give off good energy, which was now spreading to Lune, but thanks to her scheme of usual behaviour, not showing.
Then, in the midst of their joy, the balloon came to a stop. “Landing!” screamed Castille at the same time. Elise shook her head, as she tied the balloon down to stop things that were on the heap. “Technically not.” she said as she exited it - “Now follow me!”.
Everyone began to do just as said and shown, by exiting the transportation, but not in the most efficient way, as some people crawled over and under others. But, in the end, they all made it out - and onto the mountain of thrift, which Frankie called - “Thrift Mountain!”. Why she chose thrift, rather than junk is unknown, but not relevant either. As now, Elise was making her way towards Linge. “Wah!” she cried as she looked at her, “She’s worse than I thought!”. Meishu, Witchie, and Lucette came close as well. “( I ) Could not let my stuff get that broken.” said Witchie, and “Mhm!” said Lucette, as Meishu still examined. “Sir, look - even her energy compartment is broken!” said Elise to Meishu. Meishu stopped examining, and looked at Elise. “What did it run on?” he asked her.
Elise looked up into the sky. “Using energy from a rare Hikidama, we were able to generate heat by suppressing it under a layer of wool comforters, which would aid in boiling a water tank, which created steam - that eventually moved her parts. “ she told Meishu, who started to think. “Could it take any other form of energy, such as the coal and stuff you use to light fires?” he asked. Elise let out a long moan as she fell onto her knees. “But that makes her give out stinky dark smokey smoke - and me have to go out to collect stuff… or Alexandre!” she dreaded, with a more uplifting tone at the end. Meishu didn’t get it, and just, you know what he did - sigh.
Then, Elise stood up, “Wait, that’s right!” she shouted, as she stood up, and made Lune and Stelline who had found a marble in the heap, now look at her. “If I have a Hikidama battle - it will result in some of the fighters getting injured, and thus leaking out energy. And, if we collect that energy, we can use it to power her infinitely!” she then screamed.
Meishu gazed at her - “So, you wanna go?” asked Witchie who was standing right next to him. Elise shook her head - “I’ve fought you a million times, I need a new opponent.” she said, before Meishu offered, “I’ll go.” he said - but Elise refused again. “You’ll kill me!” she cried, before Stelline stepped up - holding off her newly earned Hikidama. “Then I’ll challenge you,” she said, “And it’ll be my first time!”.
Everyone in the group looked over at Stelline, who was content. “That’s right!” she said, holding a brass or copper Hikidama, which had another smaller circle on one of its ‘faces’. This circle, which was actually a hole with glass covering it, had a red light inside - which began to glow.
“It’s communicating!” said Lune, as all looked over. “Is it going to kill us?” asked Flawrin.
Castille looked at it herself, and took in Flawrin’s notice - “Death! Death has arrived!”
