As Charlotte sat there alone within the deep and dark forests and woods of the spiritual world, she began to feel sensations going straight through her body from head to toe. Some sensations were physical, like the strong cry for hunger - and others were mental, such as the worry that filled Charlotte’s small little heart. Thus, when the rain began to pour from above, Charlotte could feel her own storm coming on. Quickly, a range of emotions went down her cheeks, as she began to cry, and slowly cover them. “What will I do…?” she then asked herself, still sitting down on her knees in a melancholy way - hoping for some source of light to illuminate the place. And, soon one did. It was not spiritual or holy like she expected, but a true glimmer and shine in the far off distance. The little shine, which must have been a reflection, caught Charlotte’s eye - and she began to wipe her tears away. “Happiness!” she shouted like a young child, as she stood up, and began running. As she approached the shine, it suddenly moved. Out of nowhere, it was now hidden and gone. The same occurred to the hope of which Charlotte had built. “Perhaps it isn’t real.” Charlotte groaned, thinking of the stories she heard men tell about the mirages of which they experienced out on the battlefield. “Battlefield…” Charlotte then thought, as her hands shook, and grew cold. It wasn’t the temperature, but her fear. What if she was being stalked by a soldier who thought she was an enemy - or worse, that was the enemy.
Charlotte grew whiney once again, before she heard movement in the bushes. Now, she didn’t cry. She wanted to, but such an action would risk her life - so she instead stood still, and tried to calm down. In head, she thought about breathing exercises that she learned at school. So, she tried to apply them to the situation. But, no matter how hard she tried, the danger couldn’t get out of Charlotte’s brain. It was a natural human instinct, that’s just how Charlotte, and many other people are built. They are made to worry for their own safety - something that Charlotte would apparently lose. Swiftly, out of the bush, came the shine, but now in a different place. “Enemy!” Charlotte’s mind told her, as she began to back up, and grow worried.
As she backed up - a new feeling grew over her. This one felt as if something was there, Charlotte was sensing the presence of something else. Hence, as she slowly turned around to unveil what it was, her eyes came to sight with something new. Though, before she could scream, this new entity covered her mouth. “Don’t make a sound.” it ordered in a deep voice. For, it was a tall knight in reflective silver armour. “If you move, we’re both dead.” he told Charlotte whilst slowly raising his finger to point at a giant buffalo-like animal with glowing red eyes. Charlotte didn’t want to die, so she stood still and didn’t let out a peep - not for a while at least. Just like earlier, the human within Charlotte was activated, and she soon began to whimper, which caught the buffalo’s attention. Charlotte knew that if she continued to provide attention and bait for the buffalo, it would strike her, but she couldn’t hold back. Even when the knight covered her mouth, she still whimpered again - which now made the buffalo come closer. Now, Charlotte was worried even more - and screamed before running.
Like a cheetah, the buffalo ran after Charlotte, who couldn’t compare in speed - and was quickly blocked from moving by the faster knight. “Didn’t I tell you not to move?” he whispered to Charlotte, who was too busy focusing on the buffalo who was still coming. But, before the buffalo could come and attack, the knight quickly pulled out his greatest and most signature weapon of all time. It was his sword that he carried everywhere around with him. With it in one hand, and a large shield in the other, he was prepared to attack back against the buffalo. So, when it came striding right at him and Charlotte, he quickly slashed his blade straight at its face, which angered it even more. With fury, it tried to headbutt the knight, who quickly dodged with Charlotte, and made his way off and away. As if it could understand him, the knight proudly tapped at his helmet. “Your attacks are nothing to me.” he lectured, while pulling something out of his belt. It was a marble - “Hikidama!” called Charlotte as she looked at it. It was blue, and the knight tossed it around in his hands. “Owner, release yourself - and fight like a true man!” he screamed out. Charlotte looked at him as if he was insane. “Who are you talking to?” she asked. “The owner of the bull.” the knight responded, before paying his attention to the heavens again. Answering his call, another knight, this one more Nordic in appearance - came forth. “There you are.” the knight told. “Yes, here I be.” replied the viking - who pulled out a Hikidama of his own. His Hikidama was light grey, and dark grey in style. “So, ready for a battle!?” asked the viking, as he slid down the side of the hill he was atop, and reached near the knight’s ground. “Anytime.” the knight said, as the buffalo ran off.

“A Hikidama Battle,” said Charlotte, “I’m going to see the power of the Hikidama for the first time!”. Charlotte stood eagerly as the men raised their hands in the air, revealing their watches. “Click, Lock, Engage!” the men said in unison, as they prepared their watches - “Hikidama Matrix!” they then called, as they clicked buttons, before a large holographic dome appeared above them.
Charlotte looked around the dome. It was lined with holographic displays on the walls of Marble information, battle stats, and so much more. When she touched them, she could interact with them - and the same occurred on the ground. Down there, a digital arrow appeared on the ground, which spun around until it pointed to either one of the boys, who were both on their own sides of the dome. It landed on the viking, who grinned - knowing that meant that he got to start the battle. Accordingly, after throwing out some smaller marbles, just as the knight did follow, which made a plus shape - he threw out a larger marble called a shooter, or, Daichan, which was his grey Hikidama from prior. The Hikidama rolled through the field, and knocked out just five of the little Hikidama called Akachan. “Hm. Only four?” Asked the knight, making fun of the viking. As, the point of a battle was to keep on knocking out Akachans until eventually there were none left - from whoever collected more won. However though, there was more to it. With great power, the knight shot out his Daichan, and it rolled straight forwards, knocking out seven little marbles. When all of the marbles flew to his hand, the knight viewed them. Touching at them, he could view hologrammes, which told of the bonus effects they held. As, rather than trying to shoot out Akachans on your turn, you could also use one of your collected Akachan’s abilities.
That’s what the viking did for his next turn. With a green Hikidama, he activated its power. The green Hikidama transformed into a giant green snake named Scalentine, who raged at the knight’s now also transformed Daichan Hikidama named Kwiznille which was based off of a crab. Curiously, Charlotte watched as green Scalentine, and blue Kwiznille fought each other with great might. From turn to turn, the knight and viking went back and forth - collecting Akachan, and then using them. Until finally, the knight collected a white and gold Akachan. From it, came a grand scale angel named Hevetz. With a spear, shining Hevetz assisted the knight greatly - until, eventually he beat the viking.
When the score showed him superior, the matrix disappeared, and both men had to keep the Akachan which they had caught. Proud, the knight held Charlotte’s hand. “My dear, I have won this for you.” he spoke, whilst staring at the viking who ran off in embarrassment. Charlotte blushed. “Thanks, can we find a place though?” she asked, which made the knight think. “Sure.” the knight responded, before calling down a horse from atop a hidden hill. “Has he been here the whole time!?” asked Charlotte, to which the knight gave a thumbs up, before sitting atop. He then reached his hand out for Charlotte. At first, she hesitated, but then blushed more as she accepted it. Finally, she chose to ride alongside the knight, who led the way back to the castle.
The castle, though not the same that the other kids had gone to, seemed calming - and when they entered, the knight let Charlotte sleep in his room, on his bed, while he laid upon the floor. “Take some tea.” the knight then said, handing a cup to Charlotte. Charlotte took it, and drank some, before putting it on the nighttime table. “Thank you.” she said, before the door was opened up to the room. Entering thrice, was a young teenage girl with short blonde hair, green eyes, and a black sleeveless vest with a square collar, overtop a long sleeve white shirt with a flat white curved collar, and a black just below the knee a bit skirt.
“Oh, Lavinia,” the knight said to the young girl, who carried a plate of cheese. “Give those to the new one.”.
Lavinia looked at the knight, and nodded with a smile on her face, while handing a cheese to Charlotte. “Yes, Gabriel.” she told the knight, who took off his helmet to reveal himself.
As Charlotte looked at Gabriel, she knew exactly where she had seen such a face -
or, such a Gabriel.
