After walking around the now humid and hot woods for an even longer time than before, the children all finally stumbled across the place that Witchie was trying to get them to before the little intermission of which occurred. “We’ve finally made it!” she shouted with joy as they did so, now patting her befriended Meishu on the back, as if they had both just came back from years of military service. “Finally…” he uttered under his breath as he looked up at the large dark gate of mildly toned yellow which stood in front of them. Now, Lucette moved closer to him and it - “But how will we get in? We’ve only arrived at a wall.” she asked, of course pointing to the door at the same time. Meishu didn't know the answer to that though, so he instead turned to look at Witchie, who was putting her eye into what looked like a little crack in the wall. “What’s that?” asked Frankie, getting closer to her now. “It’s a ‘scope.” Witchie answered. With her generality though, none of the kids knew of whether it was a telescope, or any other ‘scope - or, perhaps, it was just a simple vision machine, that Witchie automatically stereotyped due to ignorance.
“Well, what do you see?” asked Amalia as Witchie still stared into it. She backed up - “I see a man in a suit!” she said, not helping much at all. So, Meishu tried to get her to give more information. “Is he going to open the gate for us?” he asked, as Witchie looked back into the elongated monocular. She now strained her eyes to see, and squinted as well, “I dunno’.” she said, sounding even dumber than before. Meishu groaned - “This is why we fought earlier…” he said to her, as he pushed her out of the way, and looked through himself. She grunted, and open handedly slapped him on his back. “Okay, what do you see?” she asked him - giving him the same treatment that she was given, in an attempt to make him look confused as well. Meishu smiled as he knew that he wasn’t full of lost information - “The suited man is a man who is meant to see who is at the gate - hence, he saw us, and is now motioning for the gate to be lifted.” he said in a simple response. “W-What…?” asked Witchie, now whining. She had been to this place multiple times before, and never once had she been able to tell what was happening inside of the area past the gate. Meishu glew with pride as he now walked away, and watched as men atop the walls surrounding the gates used ropes and other simple machine systems to pull it up. “A new home!” shouted out Charlotte, as she saw the land behind the gate become visible. “Now, now,” started Witchie, “We’re only stopping here for a while - I have something I need to do.” she said, as the door finally reached its peak. “Enter now!” said some of the men atop the walls, before the children came rushing in, with excitement building up, as they could already see what this place had to offer.
Stelline stood next to Lune - “This place is a treasure trove!” she exclaimed, eyeing all of the European royal decorations, and steam powered machines around. “Yep.” said Lune, as she touched at some of the inventions as well. Lune was also gleeful, but not as much as Stelline - who was naming every invention she saw. “That’s a steam-pushed pin-powered paper display!” she shouted at one thing, before screaming aloud “Oh look, a steam powered punch card tape music box!” to another. Lune smiled as she watched Stelline enjoy herself. “It’s not often we can get our own happy times, right?” she asked, as Stelline was too fixated on touching the mechanical marvels. “Yeah, our own time!” she said, before screaming “Via pipe, sent steam code interconnected web!” at what looked like a keyboard with holes in the centre of each key for steam to pass by, with some rectangular box on the side with a few larger holes of its own - and a pipe of steam on the floor. Stelline grinned as she viewed it all - until a girl jumped down from high above, in front of her. On her back were mechanical butterfly wings that she took off before speaking to Lune. “Like what you see?” she asked, throwing up and down a mechanical pocket watch in her hand, before launching it into Stelline’s. “Yeah, I do!” she said back to the girl, who looked to be around twelve years of age. Now, the girl blushed - “I made a lot of it.” she informed Stelline, who quickly grew a look of awe on her face. “Really!? All this?” she asked - unable to believe such information. But, the little girl just smiled. “Yeah, the name’s Elysium - but you can call me Elise - and welcome to the World of Steam, or, as we say; Vaporio!” she shouted out to Stelline as a miniature mechanical butterfly flew down to her, and landed in her hair. When it did, Elise smiled, touching at it. “This is one of my pets,” she said, “I made her.”. Stelline moved close to the little machine, and tried touching it too. “Her name is Schmetter!” shouted Elise, as she did so. “Ah, that’s cool.” said Stelline, before looking up and behind Elise. Above in the air, was a large zeppelin with many machine based mechanisms to it, that came to a land right at six o’clock from Elise. “Oh, there’s Alexandre ( ali

Stelline watched as Alexandre exited from the zeppelin, and ran up to Elise. He had a similar complexion and clothing choice and style to Meishu, but was taller, with more sleek hair, and had glasses. As for Elise, she had short, right under the shoulder short, blonde hair with light blue eyes that shimmered in the sun, with fair skin - and a white brimmed ladies’ hat with a blue ribbon tied around its waist, with the knot coming at our right, her left. For a lower extension, she had a short sleeved white dress that was without a collar, and with a skirt that reached to a little more than her knees. Between the body and skirt, was another blue ribbon like the one on her hat, but of course with a larger knot - with this one being on our left, her right.
“Hey Alex!” Elise now shouted, hugging on to him at the same time, before saying - “I met Alex when we were both in the second grade!”. “I see, so they have school here?” asked Stelline, who was still very much interested in this place. “Of course!” insisted Elise, still bubbly, as she let go of Alexandre.
Alexandre pushed his glasses up. “Welcome,” he said, “what brings you here?”. Stelline turned into a rock - she was completely without knowledge, as she knew not of why they had gone here. “I don’t know, our friend, Witchie, brought us.” she said.
Alexandre backed at the name. “Witchie…” he said, “Haven’t heard from her in a long time…”. Elise nodded, “Witchie!” she shouted, now calling Witchie over.
Witchie was standing by a large bronze globe, but could hear Elise’s call - “Yeah?” she yelled back in reply. Elise climbed up into the passenger area of a large hot air balloon, as there were inventions scattered everywhere - “Come here!” she shouted, now that she had been a little but higher, but not flying though. “OK!” Witchie screamed, as she strided over to the small group, and got inside the hot air balloon. Nosily, Stelline got inside, and naturally, Lune followed after her - before the other kids came in too.
“Well, why’re you all here?” Elise asked Witchie when they were all inside the balloon. Witchie licked her lips - they were dry, “I needed to get my watch fixed, I’m going on a large trip.” she said. Elise looked at Witchie’s watch. “I don’t see the problem, what is it?” she asked her. Witchie moaned. “Look, it’s not the physical thing - but the hologrammes and stuff, they’re all messed up!” she cried. Elise put her hands on her hips - “You know we’re not good with that digital age stuff.” she said, pointing to a box full of gears that was on the balloon. “We’re only masters at mechanics!” she then added, as Witchie sighed. “But you said you could fix it for me earlier.” she responded. Elise scratched her arm. “Earlier? When?”. Witchie inhaled - “When I came to help you guys build a clock tower, remember I lifted you guys up, so you didn’t have to waste fuel on these stupid balloon fires.”. Elise shook her head at Witchie while closing her eyes, and sighing out the words “What a disappointment…”. But then, she spoke normally - “First of all, the balloons aren’t stupid. And, second of all - that was four years ago!”. Witchie opened her eyes. “Really?” she asked. Elise stomped - “Yeah, really!” she said back, before Alexandre put his hand on her shoulder. “Chill Ellie.” he told her - so, she calmed down.
With a deep breath, she said, “I’ll help you fix your watch, but only if you help me fix Linge ( Leeng ).”. Witchie ran her fingers through her hair. “Who’s Linge?” she asked. Elise blinked - “One of my robotic butterflies - but it’s a big one I could ride.” she answered.
Witchie stopped playing with her hair, and held out a thumbs up. “Ok then - good deal!” she said. “I’ll help rebuild Linge with you and the group, and Alex can work on the watch!”
Elise smiled, “Yep!” she said.
