When they were in the middle of relaxing, a figure approached them. The sun blinded their eyes, so they could not see exactly who it was. This unidentified person asked them something.
"Um, excuse me? I have a question. Could you maybe teach me the best way to kill slimes?"
The group lying on the grass was surprised by the question. Therefore, they sat up. As a result, they could now see the person's face. When they saw it, they were surprised. Hiroki said.
"Oh, well, look who came."
It was Yasuo. He was the figure from earlier. Of course, this surprised them all. No one had expected Yasuo to ever approach them during class. Not since he distanced himself so much from them. Of course, the group thought that was a shame, but what could they do? If this was his wish, then they were going to respect it. All except Hiroki. He had, once again, other plans in his mind, but they will find out more about that in the future.
Now, however, they looked at Yasuo briefly. Hiroki said.
"Why should we help them? Can't you ask your new friends for help?"
But it seemed that they had no idea either. So now they had to rely on the help of Hiroki and the others.
It was also pointless to ask why Yasuo asked them exactly and not someone else. Yasuo also knew that Hiroki was a god, which was what he hoped would help him the most. After all, as a god, Hiroki should hopefully know how to defeat a slime.
But since Hiroki wouldn't say anything, Gaia made it her mission to help Yasuo.
"So... surely you've seen the core of a slime before. Either here in the dungeons or at school." She waited for an answer.
"Um... yeah I think so." A very vague answer. This one was not satisfying for Gaia, so she explained what the core is and where to find it.
"Well, every slime has a core. This is usually a little darker than the rest of the body." Since Yasuo did not object, she continued.
"To defeat a slime as quickly as possible, you just have to aim at that core. A well-aimed blow to the core should usually be enough to destroy it. Once a slime's core is destroyed, it dies."
Gaia had now finished explaining. But, as she looked at Yasuo, it seemed to her that he had only half understood. Probably he had just not been paying attention. But she did not care. She had explained it to him and if he didn't want to listen, it was his fault. After Gaia finished and she didn't speak further, Yasuo wanted to say goodbye to the group. However, he was stopped by Hiroki.
"Do you want to go to the dungeon with us tomorrow? I'd be burning to know how strong you are." Yasuo, however, had not been listening closely. He was once again in his thoughts. But to avoid an awkward situation, he simply replied.
"Huh... um... ok no thing." And with that, he walked away again.
Now that he was gone, Aiko asked Hiroki.
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"Why are you so eager to pull him back into our group? I thought we had accepted that he was with the others now." Aiko couldn't see through Hiroki's plans.
Hiroki replied in a relaxed manner.
"Don't worry. This is just a one-time thing. and besides… I'm sure you guys are excited to see how someone who didn't have the best coach in the world does, too."
Of course, Hiroki meant himself when he talked about the best coach in the world. He also showed this clearly. He looked very proud.
That's exactly what Eichi took advantage of to bring some fun back into the round.
"Best trainer in the world? Who would that be?" He laughed. This annoyed Hiroki, but since he didn't feel like arguing unnecessarily, he just replied.
"Oh shut up." And that was the end of that conversation.
They used the rest of their free time by taking a little nap under the sun. It was very relaxing and comfortable. They all slept side by side on the grass. Hiroki used Gaia's chest as a cushion. It was heavenly.
But unfortunately, like everything good, this also came to a quick end. Hiroki woke up his friends and they went to the dungeon again. Since Professor Pertina permitted them to go to the second floor, they did so from the beginning. They no longer stayed on the first floor. That would only cost them unnecessary time. And most importantly, Aiko and Eichi were now able to kill slimes even with their eyes closed, so it wouldn't make sense to stay on the first floor any longer.
Hiroki teleported them to the second floor. After that, they continued as usual. Aiko and Eichi go ahead, Hiroki and Gaia behind. On their way, they encountered numerous goblins. They were all no match for the two brothers. None could harm them, not even a scratch could they inflict. After only half an hour, they had already killed tons of goblins. It was very surprising that a simple dungeon like this could house so many goblins. However, they also benefited from this. Since they killed so many goblins, it didn't take long for Aiko and Eichi to level up to level 4. This made them stronger once again.
'Something is rotten here, isn't it? I can feel it.' Eichi thought to himself. His brother agreed.
'Maybe this dungeon will turn out to be abnormal. That happens at least once in every Isekai.' He wasn't so wrong about that, either. But more on that in a moment.
They continued walking now. It had been some time since they had last seen their goblin.
Just as they rounded a bend, a goblin suddenly appeared. But the funny thing was that he came right out of the stone wall. He walked through it as if it wasn't there. That was weird.
"Huh? What's that?" asked Eichi in amazement. But even though his brother also had a lot of questions, he didn't hesitate and immediately sprinted toward the goblin. The goblin didn't even have time to react. He died with only one well-aimed blow. Aiko had cut his neck.
