They gathered around in the middle of the clearing. It was a meadow with some smaller trees.
The three dungeons were each divided into three directions. One was in the north, another in the west, and the third in the east. And in the middle was a kind of rest area where students can take a break, recharge their batteries, and wait until they are allowed to enter one of the dungeons again.
Professor Pertina explained to them that it would be best if one party at a time entered the dungeon. At the same time, a party should consist of no more than four people, otherwise, it becomes too easy and not everyone can gain experience.
To form a party with someone, all you had to do was say in your mind: "Request party with xxx".
Thereupon, the individual concerned would receive a [System Message].
「
Party request received from xxx.
ACCEPT REJECT
」
Once you create a party with an individual, you share the XP received. No attention is paid to the contribution to the kill, but the XP is simply halved.
Before Professor Pertina left the class alone, she briefly gave them a little tip.
"To all of you with the occupation [Mage] among you, when you advance to level 3, you will receive a message about what kind of [Mage] you want to become in the future. There are two different classes: [Support Mage] and [Offensive Mage]. Each of you must think carefully about this decision, as it will affect the rest of your life," she said in a very serious tone. She did this because she only wanted the best for her students. She could not bear to hear that someone was destroying the rest of his life because he had made a rash decision, that she could have prevented.
Now that everything was said, professor Pertina decided to leave the students alone, thus she distanced herself and sat down on a bank near the resting area.
Meanwhile, the students started talking about the lineup of the parties. It took them some time, to create them, as several people wanted to be in more than one party, due to them already having many friends in the class. In the end, they formed all their parties and started to enter the dungeon. Though two of the five parties had to wait outside until the others would come back from the dungeon. Professor Pertina said beforehand, that each party was only allowed to go into a dungeon for around half an hour on their first day.

Hiroki was together in a party with Aiko, Eichi, and Gaia. Luckily they were the first to enter a dungeon and didn’t have to wait outside. They choose to enter the dungeon on the west side.
They approached the dungeon. Aiko and Eichi went ahead, followed by Hiroki, who held Gaia's hands. They were beaming and enjoying this day. For them, this was like a walk through the park, while Aiko and Eichi were a bit tense and felt a slight fear.
The dungeon had a stone entrance. It was located on the floor and looked like an entrance to a cave. At first glance, there was a slight fiery red glow coming from the cave. This was probably from some torches set up by the academy to make it easier for the students to stay.
The closer they got to the dungeon, the weirder Aiko and Eichi felt. It was as if they were attracted to the dungeon and being sucked into it.
This made them drop their guard and enter the dungeon as if in a trance. This was a kind of passive skill each dungeon had. They lure people in, put them in a kind of hypnotic state, and then those people are killed by the monsters inside.
Shortly after they entered the cave, it felt like they had teleported with Hiroki's teleportation. But that wasn't the case, they were just teleported to the inside of the dungeon. They were now on the first floor.
Aiko and Eichi were still walking ahead. But since they didn't have complete control over their bodies, it looked like they had become zombies.
'I think it would be better if I would wake them up from their dreamland.' Hiroki thought, sensing the presence of the first monsters.
"Cough!" He coughed. This cough made Aiko and Eichi wince and jump up. The shock woke them up from their trance.
"Huh... Are we already inside the dungeon?" Aiko was confused.
"Goddammit! Don't tell me we've been victims of that hypnosis thing Professor Clarus used to talk about." Eichi said, quickly analyzing the situation.
"Well, that's what happens when you don’t pay attention. If you enter a dungeon you always have to be prepared… that’s basic knowledge." Hiroki lectured his friends.
"Never mind, our first opponents are approaching us right now. And I want to take this chance to show you how to kill monsters in this world."
Hiroki's friends didn't mind, so they watched tensely as their friend now took the lead.
Hiroki added, however, that the monsters to come were just [Slimes], so he wouldn't explain much. He would just quickly show them the best way to finish them off and then he would let his friends also fight against them.
They wandered deeper into the cave, and soon they encountered a horde of [Slimes]. There were about twenty [Slimes].
Hiroki had the group stop and he began his explanation.
"So, now I'm going to show you the best way to kill [Slimes]. [Slimes] are ultra-weak, though they can be annoying. That's why, at least while you're only a low level, you should approach the group slowly so that you only trigger a few slimes to hop to you." While explaining this to them, he also performed the steps in real life to illustrate it.
"When [Slimes] attack, they jump at you. This also means that when they jump at you, you can hit their core very easily and quickly. Because when they’re in the air, they’re very vulnerable and it's hard to dodge coming attacks."
Just as he said that two [Slimes] jumped at him. With ease, he destroyed their core and they crumbled to nothing. This was the easiest way to kill [Slimes] and it only took one sword stroke, not even a precise one.
Due to it being so simple, Hiroki didn't explain anything else to his friends and let them try it themselves.
Since his friends were not exactly clumsy or unathletic, it was easy for them to kill the [Slimes]. In just a few minutes, they had killed all twenty [Slimes]. Gaia also participated in the extermination, as she found it fun to kill slimes.
