Elven LIes I Chapter 94 : Cleaning up

CHAPTER 94

CLEANING UP

People watched in fear as something grated the whole man into a puddle of flesh and blood, nothing remained solid in him and many raiders unconsciously relieved themselves in their pants. Villagers were no exceptions either. Before they saw Hans as a noble pushover whom they could scheme into helping the village but now the mere thought of him in their mind rang the danger bell on high alert.

Delimira, on the other hand, knew Hans as a person who can't hold back, there were many occurrences where he did reckless things but butchering humans like a beast topped the charts, and she understood that he had the power to back his reckless actions. She had once seen him using this Mutilate attack when they had met a senior elf in the library but its full potency had not been apparent to her until this moment. A thought came to her mind, as she uttered to herself," Mother really saved that fool back then."

She laughed at herself, wanting to face this spell before, not knowing it was so gruesome, as she remembered Hans's words, "I don't wanna kill you winters." A sudden shivering came to her, not because of the cold weather but the thought of being on the other end of this spell.

In the midst of chaos and cries, Hans turned at her to see if she was okay, but instead of being in a panic he found her observing his attack, he remembered her words from when she defeated him at the dean’s training field and smirked as he said,

"You were right, it is foolish to give me time for preparation."

Turning back to the raiders Hans asked again, "What do you people do - " and he was not even done with the words when the raiders started speaking frantically, Hans chose the clearest one first as he sang like a canary, afraid but still spoke everything he could remember.

"We just rob and kidnap a few people, men for labour and women for prostitution."

"And what of elves?" asked Hans, pointing to the leader, suggesting it was his turn to speak.

He wanted to show Delimira, what a foolish act she did by disclosing her face and the leader spoke, stammering in fear, knowing well, not answering now will lead to a gruesome death, "Elven girls go for a high price," he spoke, mustering some more courage, he spoke in a low voice " They are used for noble pleasure and some humans used them in breeding, the elven infants are known for being used in alchemy for life-prolonging potions. So the high-level people like knights and mages go crazy for them in the underworld."

Hans looked at Delimira and said,

"Now, you know how foolish your act was."

Delimira, stayed silent, shocked to hear those words. She thought "These banned practices were still ongoing in dark corners of human territories, which should have stopped ages ago when the treaty between their races, ensuring peace." Now it became clear to her, why Hans was adamant about hiding that she was an elf.

She apologetically looked at Hans and he turned his gaze away, receiving the response he wanted and looked at the villagers who were in fear of him. but one mustered some courage, the old lady whose house they stayed, at came close, lowering her eyes she urged "Please leave quickly, the escapees will bring Guard-knights here and they are not good people."

Hans coldly said,

"I am counting on it I need the frickin communication orb"

He raised his voice a little "Winters, it's your mess, you better be prepared to kill." he declared, not accepting any excuses.

The old lady was grateful that these people stepped up but in her eyes, they were too young to fight the trained knights of the Guard-post. She believed the Parvian attire will cause a greater mess so she said in concern,

"It's not your country, please leave while you can."

Hans looked her at in doubt, "Do you know this symbol?" he asked, confused.

She replied,

"Why do you think no one was willing to let you in, we could easily be charged with treason."

Smirking, Hans grabbed a chair and sat in between the tied raiders, awaiting the arrival of the Guard-knights. And He didn't have to wait for long, as the escaped prisoners managed to fetch a group of six knights within half an hour.

Hans saw an entourage of knights coming, as they rode on horseback through the snow-covered paths and made their way to the village gates. However, only the strongest knight approached Hans, without dismounting from his horse.

The Guard-post officer shouted at Hans, "Some gentlemen complained that you took the whole village hostage." He turned to the villager as they cowered in fear, and with a wicked grin he added, "Isn’t it right my dear people."

The village feared the Guard-post more than the raiders but there was an elder who had nothing to live for so he showed his contempt towards the knight and shouted back, "No, it's these people who attack and plunder our village and you, you knights just play ignorant and receive women and money from them. - " An aura slash went to the elder with a swoosh, aiming to slice him as it sliced his words.

Hans was not the one to move to save others but Delimira was different. She stopped the attack at a perfect time, as the slash was blocked just a hand away from the elder's neck by her WindShield spell.

"A mage, how cute," amused, the mounted knight remarked.

There were six who came at the plight of raiders and one was talking with Hans while the remaining stood far back, they were informed that there was a mage with some annoying spells so they were cautiously waiting, sending the strong one first. And Delimra’s spell attracted their attention, the leader hidden with the remaining five got stressed, mages at a young age meant they were part of some organisation or a noble family, this could escalate into something he did not want.

However, before he could relay his words to the speaking knight, the foolish knight asked Hans, as rudely as he could"

"Who the hell are you - "

"None of your concern," Hans responded sharply, adding, " Attacking the people whom you should protect, protecting the raiders, exploiting women, bribes, ignoring the crimes, letting human trafficking flourish - "

Annoyed, the speaking Guard-knight interjected,

"Even if you are noble you can’t stick those charges at us, we are from the Knight association."

Hans looked at him with a chilling degree of coldness and added,

"Never stop me again, you fucker. And worst of all is doing it in my own land."

The Guard-knight got startled because those eyes were not of some noble playing a justice game, it was of an executioner's, but it was too late, a small ball-like figure came rolling down to the five knights behind and it cried so loud that many had to cover their ears. And amidst its horrifying cry, they heard the boy yelling,

~ TheVeganCarnage ~

There were five Guard-knights with the escaped raiders that were waiting in the back. Upon hearing a shrieking sound right from the front which was enough to freeze them in fear. They were gripped with terror and began to flee, however, the small entity unleashed speared tentacles, impaling their heads, not even sparing the horses.

The screams of the crying seed far suppressed the fearful cries of its target. as it moved like a living thing targeting everything in range. If Mutilate was like a slaughterer then this one was like a dysfunctional assassin, swiftly killing its target but announcing itself to take credit.

But not all had succumbed to the carnage seed, two skilled knights that detected the crying seed early managed to avoid the monstrosity but now they were in Hans's cold gaze which scared them the same as the thing before them.

Despite the lingering fear that gripped the villagers, they couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as they shielded their children's ears and embraced them tightly. In a matter of moments, a ten-year-old boy had vanquished the Guard-knights whom they had been too intimidated to even speak out against.

Delimira on the other hand was not so elated, first Mutilate and now TheVeganCarnageknew, She knew Hans had killing attacks but she did not know that they were this deadly. Remembering the qualification of a Guard-knight, she thought, " A person could apply for a 'Guard-post' if they reach grade 40 so the killed knights are at least of that grade and he butchered them like nothing." shaking the feeling off, she looked at Hans who was staring at the Guard-post officer before him.

"I am having neck pain, you fucker get down from that damned horse," he said with his irritation apparent.

The knight quickly stepped down from the horse, not wanting to argue with some senseless killer. lowering his gaze he heard Hans ask the surviving knights to come and kneel in front of him along with him too. He was thinking of a way to wiggle out of this predicament but the boy in front asked again.

"How many flares do you carry, if I'm right three flare shots mean emergency, right? shoot it and call everyone here," he said.

One of the two surviving knights shot all three in the sky, not delaying any further, their hopes of surviving lay on the possibility of someone coming here to stop this monster child. And It did not take long for the nearby knights to come to the village either. They came galloping, hearing the emergency in this boony was a rare occurrence and they did not want to take any chance, since firing three shots was equivalent to invasion.

They surrounded the village perimeter and one of the knights commanded his horse to step in. The horse got spooked on seeing his brethren, lying slaughtered without a head, feared he stopped, not wanting to take any step in this bloody mess, a wise choice that he would tell his foals to come. But his owner, ignorant as he was in horse's eyes, shouted loudly,

"Who the fuck dared to do this?"

Hans shouted back,

"Come close you bastard, I don’t have a loud voice."

The knight dismounted because his horse was set on not moving further and continued, cautiously closing the distance between him and the child but a gap between his shin armour and the knee was targeted by SeedBullet and he cried as he knelt.

Hans said, smirking in the cold,

"Now that’s the way you greet your lord, you bastard."

The knight's painful cries called many of his colleagues into the village and Hans asked the group, raising his voice a little,

"Are you all Guard-knights?"

A man in his forties came forward from the back and asked while raising the wounded knight,

"And who might you be?"

"None of your fucking business, now tell me who the hell are you before you lose your job or head or both."

"You have some nerve kid, hurting a 'Guard-knight' in front of me, even if you are noble you have to answer for killing the knights."

Hans frustratingly said

"Are you deaf or just plain dumb, I asked you to tell me who the fuck you are?"

"Easy there, kid, you don't want me to discipline you instead of your parents."

Before the situation escalated further, Delimira came forward because the numbers were not in their favour as many knights have surrounded the place.

"Tell your name and designation, he is really in bad mood," she asked the speaking knight

Instead of the knight who was talking, a knight in the back shouted

"She is an elf, see! see! this is the problem - "

Shoossh…

A sound of a fast-moving object came and the knight who was blurting nonsense got hit, right between his eyes. it was a SeedBullet, modified for blinding the target as it releases chilly pollens on impact, rather than impaling and hurting the target. Resulting in both eyes of the knight swelling immediately as the knight cried, dropping from the horseback, the chilly feeling in the eyes was maddening him. Marvelling at the intended result, Hans smirked and said aloud.

"You can't see the elf now, problem solved, now onto the main subject, who is the head here?"
