Elven Lies I Chapter 105 : Saving the Elven Bacon

CHAPTER 105

SAVING THE ELVEN BACON

The news of Eclipse’s attack on Utar was not even aged for a day and another one came hitting the world like a slap in the back of the head. Hans and Deli were still discussing their motives, probing each other's theory but Hodges running into the home frantically broke their discussion. Looking at a letter in his hands, Hans snatched it from him and did not yield to his plights for not reading the confidential content.

However, Hans tore the envelope without reservations and Hodges went ahead to tell their lords. It was news sent by the Headquarters so he was expecting something exciting. But the contents confused him more as he read:

> ----------------------------------------

>

> To Count EdenBerg,

>

> With the utmost concern, we are informing you that Eclipse had attacked the royal capital of Clandor with thousands of undead led by their commander Xandor. The whole capital was turned upside down and the civilians faced the long and dreary night as corpses ran amok the living. Xandor had targeted Princess Allynna but failed because of the noble sacrifice of Cornell, the aide of the Elven king.

>

> ----------------------------------------

This was the content Hans read as Deliimira was covering her mouth in shock, the only one who treated her with warmth was her cousin Allynna. She was three years younger than her and followed her around like a baby duck. If Delimira cared for a single elf, it was Allynna. As far as she could deduce, assassinating her looked like the revenge that Eclipse sought since taking her from Reina and Eleanor would be far worse than killing them.

But she was relieved on hearing the news and was in the middle of calming down but a strong hit on Hans’s head made her turn over.

"Oye, Squeaky, you brat, you dare read the confidential content, what if it was some trap magic, aiming to blow your head?"

Hans refuted while massaging his head,

"You already did what the trap magic failed, gramps."

Rudolf did not bicker with him, He glanced at the letter, attacking Utar and Clandor right after another was a serious business and his bratty grandson has read the contents aloud. He rubbed his temples and went inside leaving Hans alone as Sierra called Delimira for their training, she was set to recreate the second circle today. She needed to create and break mana circles to increase the dead mana. The process was painful but the result was worth bearing it.

Hans looked at his book, he had succeeded in creating the SilvaOrtus but it needed an awful amount of time. Deli's progress at a visible rate was making him anxious and finally pushed him to break his resolution of not moving ahead without mastering the previous pages. Giving in, he turned the page

> ----------------------------------------

>

> Page 14

>

> VoidZone

>

> As I have written before, SilvaOrtus was the base of this spell, if you are viewing this page before the end of the book, it means the book has judged that you have surpassed the plans and expectations.

>

> Just like dominion knights, mages have a sanctuary, a spell granting them an area with the cost of Half of their mana, allowing them to convert the channelling spells into quick ones.

>

>

> VoidZone is my domain,it gave me three perks, it allowed me to restrict any mage even warlocks to regenerate their mana, additionally stopping anyone’s mobility and assassinating a knight without lifting a finger. This is what made people fear me and now, It's your turn to inherit it. My domain will be your sanctuary and in three steps you will master it.

>

>

> First - Antimana Field

>

> The broken thing about mages is they kept generating the mana as their mana hearts kept filtering the mana from the outside and this is going to break that. You have learned to control an area full of mana in SilvaOrtus, the AntiMana field is the next step. Unlike nurturing and moving the mana as you wish, you have to make it still, it is going against the nature of ever-moving mana particles and this will take a toll on your body. Frankly, I do not know how the ability would affect you.

>

> It will be harder than anything you have tried, just like grabbing the water by the hand. Mana will definitely want to return to its original state of moving. so be prepared since this will require immense concentration.

>

> Second - Invincible armour

>

> Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.

>

> The reason no mage was able to hit me with any spell was because of the still mana particles that hindered the movement of anyone within the influence, even you. But this comes with a boon too. You could increase the density of still particles around you and the highly densed mana will acts like a protective shield that blocks every type of mana attacks from reaching you, even the hottest fire conjured with mana and the sharpest light won’t be able to do any damage to you, that is as long as you stay still and the attack was formed with pure mana.Be aware of the inertia since it will do the damage.

>

>

> Do note, the aura is fundamentally different so don’t be stupid and use it against the knights until you are sure that their strength is inferior to your mana control. But you can give them this invincible armour, it will affix them, whether in the sky or land making them an easy target as you repare your ultimate attack.

>

> The only drawback of doing it this way is that mana cannot be still and dense to the degree needed for Invincible armour around moving objects. Your target wether its you or your enemy, must be still before activating it.

>

> And the last thing to note here is you need to have the AntiMana field before making this dense armour. it is a step by step process, step one is needed before step two and three.

>

>

> Third - Inectio

>

> You know what happens if a knight tries to make a mana circle, yes, they die a gruesome death because of clashing inside their body, that’s why there is no one who could use aura and mana together.

>

> After fixing a knight with invincible armour, you might not be able to hurt them but you can force them into making a mana circle, the clashing aura will take your job and kill the knight for you or might render them useless for a time being. It is also useful in interrogation.

>

> To summarise

>

> Antimana Field - stops regeneration and cancels the sanctuary of mages

>

> Invincible armour - totally blocks mana attacks and blocks physical attacks as much as you have control over the mana

>

> Inectio - forcefully creates a mana circle inside the knight.

>

> You will need years to perfect this and it's a tiring process so get ready to include it in daily practice. Good luck.

>

> ----------------------------------------

Hans could not keep himself from laughing in excitement not knowing how hard it will be to master this. The ability which made Samson a fearful figure was right in front of his eyes asking him to just take it, So how can’t he be excited about it? He smiled knowing Delimira was not the only one going through a power-up, he was following her behind at a steady rate. Both of them were competing with each other unaware of their third friend who already surpassed them in previous days.

Chris left Concordia a week earlier than them and his father finally started him to teach the aura part of Imperial sword arts. According to legend, the Imperial sword arts were said to be so powerful that they only required a sword to channel its aura. Flashy aura skills were not necessary, and even without them, one could surpass others if one mastered the art of aura conductance. However, the technique demanded a significant amount of aura, as it was designed for only a select few, such as Samson and Adrian.

After successfully mastering the conductance method of Imperial sword arts, Chris needed another Aura skill since the conductance took a toll in his aura reserve, he could only use this to get out of a jam he could not clear with any other means. He had mastered his first skill when he reached grade ten and now it was time for him to master another one.

The abilities of knights were centred around manipulating aura to suit their needs. Each skill had its own distinct method of execution, shrouded in secrecy only to be passed on to a select few. Although it was not recommended to create one's own skills due to the difficulty of making them powerful, self-created skills were often the best fit for their owner. And Chris was in between self-creating his second skill under the guidance of his father, the former left commander of Parv in some distant place far from the troubles of Capital.

CLANDOR

After hearing the news, Reina rushed back to the Royal palace, her daughter almost died at the hands of Xandor. It was a miracle that she survived. As far as she recalled, Xandor was more of a grim reaper to elves, during the war on Samson’s command he solely eliminated eight of ten Council families, the powerhouses and warlocks of Clandor. Her anxiousness was fueling her aura as she flew with all her might.

On the other side of the capital. Xandor kept cursing,

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!, that son of a bitch, that stupid son of a bitch, I swear I will kill him"

Bryan couldn't help but shared Xandor's sentiments as they failed miserably, not because their preparation lacked or anything but because of an outside variable. If they originally went ahead with the plan, the Elves would be mourning their princess right now but Dijkstra just had to ruin everything. He clenched his fist, and because of his brother, the mission went haywire, when he and Xandor infiltrated the royal castle amid the chaos, finding and killing the princess was like taking candy from the child.

However, at the critical moment when stealth was needed the most, Dijkstra made his grand entrance by exploding a side tower alerting the royal guards. He Cleaved the body of Cornell vertically making a spectacle for others and escaped, leaving Xandor to handle the aftermath and gifting him the credit of his deed.
