Elven Lies I Chapter 130 : The Fucking Reason

CHAPTER 130

THE FUCKING REASON

"Oh, seriously? I had hopes of making a name for myself here, and within a month, the Knight Dean recognizes me on sight. But did it have to be like this?" Vanir grumbled, hurrying off to retrieve Hans. Both department deans were now in the loop, and he hadn't realized earlier that Hans had practically assaulted the director's daughter. "Geez, just how big are his balls? I really hope he won’t get expelled.”

He sprinted as though his life hung in the balance, and it didn't take him long to locate Hans, who was already en route. Overwhelmed by guilt and regret, he couldn't focus on much else. He entered with Vanir, with the intention of offering a heartfelt apology,

"Why?" Rudolf's voice boomed, casting a deep purple aura that seemed to envelop the entire room. "Wow, he's really mad. Well, I can't say I did something commendable." With Hans remaining unresponsive, Rudolf repeated his question with intensified fervour, "Tell me, why on earth did you harm her in such a manner?"

“Phew…”Hans wanted to say many things, people were following her, Xandor had sent many after the elven princess and Deli being with her had put her in danger many times. He was just trying to protect her, but she was not listening, he wanted to lay out the truth, but everyone's anticipated eyes made his words twist, "Apology is something she wants to hear but not something she needs now." He looked downward, summoning his courage, knowing how his words going to turn the situation around. Locking eyes with Rudolf, he finally spoke, “Because she is weak. The one who tramples is right.”

"The fuck I said" Hans wrestled his inner self, but before he could utter another word, “Senior,” Vanir's voice interjected, attempting to prevent Hans from digging himself deeper. However, Hans's sidelong glance silenced Vanir instantly, and he pressed on, “When she wakes up, ask her,” he pointed to the unconscious Delimira, stating, “What was she doing when I was grinding my butt off to become stronger.” He paused and stared at everyone watching. “Xandor had attacked her before,” pointing to Allynna, he continued, “Elven royals whom she is so kind to, have sent assassins to kill her, and god knows how many want to get rid of her. And what was she doing for the past month, playing house.”

He was saying things whatever his mind was conjuring up but breaking his momentum, Allynna interrupted him, she could not take a false accusation, “What? You are accusing my family —”

Hans pointed upwards, abruptly stopping her, “Interrupt me again Shrimp, and I’ll send you to look at the very ceiling. And what False accusation? Think hard, why did your father’s Aide die a horrible death.” Hans paused, looking that no one is interrupting him further, “I don’t care how she lives her life but she needs to remember, the world is changing. It will kill or be killed, in just a few years. Only the strong have a place at the top. And Hans does not have a weakness and will never have one either. So it's better to break bonds before she becomes a nuisance.”

A low rumble of thunder resonated in Rudolf's grip, prompting Hans to lift his head and meet his gaze, his gait and everything in contrast to his past self, and at last, he spoke, “And I’m not some chump change you can boss around, Dean Rudolf. Remember it well. I’m leaving.”

Hans strode out of the room with his head held high. Not admitting anything in contrast to his earlier plan, but upon exiting the building, he found his face reddening, “Have I always been this cringe, breaking bonds before she becomes a nuisance, what junk have I been reading to come up with this?”

Shaking his head, a slight shiver running through his hands, he rubbed them together. He had changed his words upon sensing Delimira regaining consciousness, “Now, she would hate me more. Why am I screwing this up? NO, at least now she will diligently work herself. And They say hate is a powerful motivation. I hope it works.”

Meanwhile, within the medical ward, as soon as he left, Delimira's eyes fluttered open, tears streaming down like an unbroken dam. She looked at the elders surrounding her and voiced her woes, "Was it so wrong for me to live like a normal girl for just a bit? I'm tired, master. I'm tired of always being on my toes, always looking back, living life on the edge. I was tired.” she cried in her mother's embrace, her grip tightening, rendering her words even more muddled.

While Hans grappled with his inner turmoil, Vanir, who had followed him for a stretch, inquired, “Who are you, Senior? It's hard to believe someone can beat up a director's daughter, and get scot-free. She didn't utter a word; you even got arrogant with Dean Rudolf —”

“Fuck, I said that in the heat. Ahnn... Ahnn” he whined, “I’ll get beaten soon, damn it.” frustration tugged at his voice as he tugged at his hair. But Vanir persisted, “So you are a big shot, I get it. Then why did you hide from them that some suspicious people kept following her? You... were upset because she wasn't heeding your advice and putting herself in danger, weren't you? It wasn't due to jealousy or anything like that —”

“Jealous? Me? Are you on dog food or something?” Hans refuted quickly. “It does not matter, after listening to me, even if she hates me, at least she'll start taking things seriously. Her determination to bring me down and make me apologise will push her harder. He shivered, looking intently at Vanir, “And you better step up your training. I wasn't kidding when I said that. If you become a nuisance as well, I won’t think twice before abandoning you.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll jump if you say jump, charge if you say charge —”

“Yes, yes I get it, you’ll follow my words to the letter” Hans cut him off before he could continue, raising his palm to halt any further words. He pulled out the pendant and added, “This is was what attracted those fools, It's all their fault for this mess. Seriously I'm more pissed than ever,” Putting the pendant on, he sent Vanir back to his dorm before heading towards the location of Eclipse’s men.

“So our fake prince has brought the gift for us.”

“Just hand it over and we will leave the brats be. Can’t believe you were protecting elves with that face.”

“Just let him be,”

The three talked with themselves, staring at Hans wearing the thing they were trying to acquire without trouble. “Let's get the gem and leave —”

“Great grandfather,” Hans shouted to the skies, “I need a hook here.”

“How about a crane, foolish descendant,” the skies reverbed, sending shivers to the three dominion knights. Bringing down their confidence to the ground. The voice echoed again, “He is the owner of the wind gem now, I didn’t care before but this is different. You better not fucking touch him or else, I will flatten the entire sleeping mountains. Now leave.”

“What? No, no wait…” Hans tried to stop the three from leaving, but the eclipse’s man ran without looking back. Leaving Hans to whine, “Why do you always let people go? Do you not know leaving loose ends is basically fucking up your future.”

“Killing is not the answer Kid.” Dietrich said, appearing beside him, “They have beliefs, they might differ from you but those people are working hard to turn them —”

“Forgiving and forgetting is a privilege of the strong not for people like me. If I spare one they will bring ten, if even that won’t work, they’ll bring 100. They are only standing down because of you. Since even if they brought everyone, they’ll die miserably. This is true power, great grandfather, and someday, I’ll have it myself.”

“Well I'm not planning on kicking the bucket soon, So I'll see, kid” Saying this Dietrich left and Hans went his own way. However, when he finally reached his room in Prophets’ castle, another person, missing from all that was waiting for him by the doors. “Are you on drugs?” Vanessa asked him point blank and Hans sighed in reply, “I probably am sis. I can’t control the way I talk. It's all coming out without the filter.”

“Did something happen?” She asked in concern, without even questioning why he did such an act. All she was thinking of was if Hans was alright. Seeing her like that, Hans hugged her, “Only you think of me sis, and Yes, something happened.”

“Wanna talk about it?”

“Yes, I probably turned off my emotional limiter. I’m feeling crazy things now.”

Vanessa didn’t ask after that but kept caressing his back. “It's alright dear brother, I know you are reckless and do things on a grander scale but you wouldn’t have hurt her if you were alright.”

NEXT DAY, CONCORDIA

In the early morning, Hans was summoned to the Housemaster’s office. “Just one day, one fucking day, Farmboy. I was away and you piled up shit till the ceiling in that time.”

“Quite the words, but she is alright sir, Granny will probably help her run in a few days,” Hans said like it was the usual thing. But Walter had many things on his plate, and now the plate was overfilled, all because of Hans's yesterday's blunder. “It's not about whether Lady Sierra can heal her or not, idiot." Walter yelled, "Did you forget, the Glory Wars preliminaries is a team competition? You screwing off your strongest teammates is not the ideal way to go around, stupid.”

“Ha..” he sighed scratching his head, “I forgot about that, Can you send me somewhere. It's better if I don’t show my face for some time. How about an isolated place like last year."

“Do you think you are on vacation here, Farmboy? Not happening.." he paused as a wicked smile covered his face, "If I can cook this well. This will turn more interesting."
