Elven Lies I Chapter 111 : It Was All Acting, Grandma

CHAPTER 111

IT WAS ALL ACTING, GRANDMA

“He knows.” That's the only thing that ran through everyone’s mind. The first one to throw his stare at Delimira was Rudolf, but the girl outright denied it, shaking her head left and right, so his eyes led him to Sierra who was as surprised as he was. “Which idiot, created this mess,” he thought, and to not exaggerate this already volatile situation, he tapped on Hans’s shoulder and said,” You should stop now.” And turning to Samwell, he returned him his own words, “He is the only child of our house, so I spoiled him a bit too much.”

Hans tried to loosen his gramps grip on his shoulder, but it was as firm as it could be, not budging a bit, so he started pouring his best effort. However, Rudolf pushed further, “I told you to stop Hans, he is our king, after all, you should respect his position,” he whispered into the boy's ears.

“NOT MINE,” Hans emphasised his words which Rudolf had a hard time understanding at this moment, so he asked Hans, What he was talking about, and Hans uttered once again, “I said. He is not my king. I’m not from Grimgar. I was born in a powerful nation which forced the world to unite, just for standing against, and still, they couldn’t do shit.” And when no one said anything in response after his declarative statement, he continued turning to Samwell, “I’m no Edneberg. I'm my father’s son, he named me Hans, meaning, a gift from the gods, and I'm as much Parvian as he was. So before you people do anything stupid, beware to not accelerate his second coming.” He then turned to the butler, who was in some sort of trance, and shook him up with his bold authoritative tone, “Hodges.”

“Yes, yes sir,” Hodges replied quickly.

“Our guest filled their bellies, and we showed a frickin hospitality despite their annoyance.” Then turning to the King again, he said or more of declared, “They are leaving.”

No one in their right mind would act like this against the ruler of the nation where they were living, but the mansion people didn’t know what was backing Hans. And they were right to worry, it was not like he was an official royalty of Parv, and even if he was, Parv was thousands of kilometres apart from this place, but Samwell understood where his confidence was coming from. The purpose of his visit was to find out if Arat really made contact with Hans and if it was true, what did they talk about, but seeing Hans act like this, most of his doubts were somewhat cleared.

“Fine,” he responded, “ since my children were at fault and you showed where you stand, Hans Parv. We’ll get out of your hair, but you ruined your chance here. You will certainly regret it —”

“Don’t bring your brats, next time you wanna talk about something serious.” Hans interrupted, “It's not me, but you who are ruining your chances because of your pride. You are a king not a fool for your children, so don’t get emotional,” Hans glanced at Cynthia and continued, “You have a nation to look after, not just a pathetic wannabe mage.”

Samwell didn’t say anything after that, and his entourage opened the return SpaceDoor on the king's command. And for the sake of formality, Hans and the family came to the doors to drop them off. In between the tense situation, Rudolf managed to whisper into Han’s ears, “Are you possessed?” he asked as he couldn't believe his eyes, Hans’s gait, his words, and his every action, reminded him of Samson, and he was not only one, the people who knew the late king of Parv were thinking the same but when it became apparent that the SpaceDoor of royal closed. hans returned to his former self, “That was frickin close, hick, hick,” Hans shouted and started hiccupping.

“He is still the brat,” Rudolf said as his bottoms fell on the ground, “This was intense, we almost had a civil war.” Everyone could agree with those words, but Hans was looking at the message floating before his eyes

SpaceDoor destination changed to the Frozen tooth successfully.

“Enjoy yourselves, hick! You royal prickheads, hick! hick!.” Hans laughed, continuing to hiccup.“That was awfully closed, little brother.” Vanessa said as she came beside him. “Yeah,” Hans replied as he kept a firm press on his chest to stop his situation and when it stabilised a little, he added with a loud voice, “But all went well as you said, sis.”

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

“What?” everyone shouted in surprise, Vanessa was the last one they thought that snitched royals to Hans, and Delimira was the one who felt most betrayed, so she came close to her, turned her by the hand, whispering, “You asked me not tell him, senior.”

Removing her hand slowly, Vanessa replied calmly and clarified, “You telling him, and me telling him has different outcomes.” Then she bowed before Rudolf and Serra, “Please forgive me, lord and Lady. I wanted to make sure that they treat Hans as Samson’s son, not some happy-go-lucky chump they can use in future.”

“Phew, it's alright.” Sierra, known for her iron will and never showing anxiety, finally breath in relief, and added, “A reminder should have been nice Vanessa.” She was not angry because the situation could have become difficult but not unsalvageable, so it was good as long as the outcome was good for her. So she didn’t mind, however, Vanessa kept apologising until she got a verbal acknowledgement from her. Since even if the fight broke, they were not the ones to lose much. Sierra still sensed Vanessa feeling apologetic so she said, “Well, for one thing, it feels good to see royals who came with a momentum returned to the capital embarrassed —”

“Oh, they are not going to the capital, Grandma.” Hans interrupted, “I sent them to the Frozen tooth. They should know their place, Auch, ah —” Sierra pulled Hans’s ears, raining on his victory parade, “Aren’t you getting ahead of ourselves, Prince Hans parv, you are no Edenberg, haan?”

“It was all the act, granny, acting. You see…acting..ouch ouch” Hans rubbed his ears as she finally let go of them. But when everyone was thinking of their own things, Delimira asked Hans of what she did not understand in this chaos, “What is this VoidZone? Is that Swoosh thing you did, Hans?” However, instead of Hans, Rudolf answered him, “It is a three-part skill, first disconnects your connection with mana, so regeneration of mana and aura is cancelled, second can kill knights as long as they are not careful, and the third one provides a shield like defence to the user, stopping the user from getting any magic damage —”

“Why won’t you put a frickin banner out, gramps,” Hans chimed in, “Dissecting my trump card like some third-rate skill,” he retorted, but Rudolf instantly replied, “Everyone knew of this but still fell prey to it in the past, kid.”

“Do you think using this is easy, there are many scenarios to think of, and it's darn difficult to pull off. I was secretly concentrating Inectio, for an hour on that knight.”

Rudolf got surprised by those words so he asked, “Did you know he was going to act up —” However, instead of Hans, Delimira answered, “ He looked like the one who is eager to be noticed, right Hans?”

“Yeah... that’s what I was going to say Deli,” Hans replied, scratching his head, “of course SCAN judged the possibilities, but it's not you guys need to know,” he thought and came out of his thinking when Sierra asked him, “But you send them to Frozen tooth? ”

“Oh, that! I learned a little trick from Arat. That aside, my act was satisfying right?” he asked with anticipation and Delimira was the one who responded first, “Yes, very. I feel light like some weight got lifted from my chest. And how do you say, yes, it was frickin cool.”

“Hihi” Hans giggled but Sierra and Rudolf’s response was different, they still cautioned Hans to be careful because a loose mouth is the culprit of most death in Genas to date, and they didn’t want Hans to be one of its victims. They were this carefree because what Hans said to Samwell in the last was true; Samwell was not the idiot, he ousted his elder brother to Deadlands and obtained the throne without fighting. So there was no way he would make an enemy out of Hans since he can’t nip him right now. They were whispering to one another, but suddenly Hans raised his voice which drew their attention to him again.

“Hey, where are you going?” he asked departing Delimira, and she nonchalantly replied.“You showed something pretty scary. I need to train more so I can catch up to you again —” Hans rushed to her and interrupted, “Like hell, I’m gonna allow that again.” He turned to Rudolf and Sierra, and shouted back, “I’m gonna train some more.” And both of them disappeared. There were not many days left for their holidays, and something scary was eyeing Hans at this very moment. “So, I can go back there,” a ghastly figure muttered, standing right before the Edenberg couple's eyes, hiding his presence like a master, “Xandor, that fucking lunatic, made chaos at the right time, and Arat being careless, is the god truly on my side after all.”
