Elven Lies I Chapter 193 : Father vs Son (3)

CHAPTER 193

FATHER VS SON (3)

As Hans pulled Arat’s to the side. He saw Samson closing in, the death king even used his best move to deal with the weakest of all them. It was like he was showing respect towards him.

Imperial sword art - Big Dipper

“One strike seven kills.” Hans muttered as he unwillingly recognised the move that demanded seven lives. “I’ve told you. Im not some average crazy bastard.” He shouted back.

~Hydra~

He was ready. The gems he kept in the space bag tied at his waist were the most powerful ones he had quickly sorted out in the capital. They were already sprayed around him, waiting for him to connect and transform them as he willed.

On the far, Rudolf was moving full speed towards Hans and he felt another power emerging between Hans and Death King. Dijkstra tried too, but he was already out of commission with his lung injury. However, there help wasn’t needed “Crack! —You got seven kills. I got nine lives.” Hans whispered as Samson’s sword just reached his neck.

Splintering the ground, nine behemoth serpent heads sprawled out. The Big Dipper was an autonomous move that targeted the heart of its targets. Hydra had nine cores, each functioning on a separate mana gem. They became sacrifice saving Hans’s life, leaving two heads to survive.

“Its my turn now.” Hans shouted, fuelling himself with an unfound courage. “Go!” He commanded the remaining heads to attack the exhausted Death king.

The two headed serpent was using fire gems as the core, the minor bane of the undeads. Like a fire breather, both burned the Death knight. Yet Samson managed to doge them by the hair. However, it wasn’t for naught. Hans managed to create some distance. His confident smile was the proof he pushed back the strongest foe he ever faced.

“Hell yeah!” He cried in delight. This act of holding his ground brought back his confidence which went in hiding due to the fear which Undead Samson commanded. But, Rudolf who just reached Hans had the fear of a lifetime in his face.

“Hans.” He stressed, “Zap your ass out of here.”

Bernard, who was not as active as other and was finding the weakness in the ninth circle spell, heard Rudolf and brought the almost passed down Delimira and Chris to Hans. But Hans’s focus remained on Rudolf.

While Rudolf had an idea that Hans could call forth the INGRESS. The sole reason why he was a bit relieved before, but Samson has designated him as someone equal. There was no going back from that point, no guarantee that Hans will survive moving forward. He scolded the disobedient Hans in authoritative tone. “Now.”

“Not without you.” Hans didn’t back down. He didn’t know why he wanted to be here before. Maybe the blood in him was calling him, but it was not the priority now. All he wanted was to get Rudolf and the people he cared out of this chaos.

“Brat its not time to argue. Think of your friend’s life. They are not meant to die here.”

“Neither do you.” Hans argued, “Grimgar will handle this or will perish. This will not escalate outside the capital, so lets get out of here, together. Its not our problem—.

“A problem needn't hit close to home to be our concern. If we can minimise its harm, we must do so – it's the knight's code I live by, kid.” Rudolf patted his head, “SO, GO. I can’t fight full when my mind is concerned for your safety—”

“Thats some wise words! Then what about me, Gramps. Do you think I can forgive myself if something went wrong to you later?” Hans removed his hand, “Wether we escape together, or fight together.”

~Elder form~

Hans had his last ace remain, a way that granted him with superior control over surrounding mana with the cost of mobility. It wasn’t a wise tradeoff in this situation but as Hans saw the powerful people around. He took a decision to gamble.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

With every passing moment, several sprouts came out of his skin pores, the green covered him full with many vines, small and big coiling around. Transforming him into a humongous torso of a green forest giant. He growled, with every thing he got and proved that it was a worthy gamble.

“COME.BACK” He cried in his monstrous voice. And Death king felt an otherworldly pull, back towards where he was shot from before.

“This is enough.” Samson growled back, yet even his best effort proved useless. He was in an invisible grasp of Hans. The Elderwood form had boosted the prowess of VoidZone to hundred folds. It was akin to telekinesis now.

“NO.” Hans responded as he lowered his right hand in a fashion like he was swatting a bug and Samson far from him followed the same action unwillingly. He was on his four, in the spiderweb cracks which none other than he made with impact.

“Telekinesis. An Elderwood. I’ve. Killed. It..” Samson muttered as some memories flashed in his undead brain. But it was only for a moment and his instinct to kill monsters invoked in him. “KILL THE ELDERWOOD.”

“Shack!” The next moment, people saw, Samson’s good arm flying, and Reina coming back with Dijkstra. It was a permanent damage that light element had done to the undead. Even creating an another arm from aura was not possible because of the non regeneration property of Reina’s skill.

She only struck once, but it was more meaning full than what others had done together. Now, death king remain with only one arm and it was already made of aura. So technically Samson was without any hands. All rejoiced while Dijkstra grumbled about the irony of helping Elf to hurt his king, “Damn it. Just stay down please. I really hate helping them, please King.” He pleaded, but Death king was running on rage and regret as Bernard had mentioned before.

“It will not work Dijkstra.”Bernard said, and relayed what he found decoding the ninth circle spell till now. “It's not complete resurrection, not even Xandor could do it.” Bernard glanced, the weakening spell, “Rebellion is a cursed sword, the prerequisite to any cursed sword is that they take a part of its wielder's soul. Its not Samson we are fighting, but his corrupted soul sealed in that sword.”

“FINE. NOW. I. DONT. FEEL. BAD. ABOUT. IT” Hans growled in his breaking voice and raised the undead king high only to jolt him down with more force than before. The up down motion continued till Hans felt the undead had become rag doll. He pulled him back. Reina was standing before him, ready to welcome Samson with all of her powers. Once again aiming to send him to underworld.

The end was coming near, everyone could feel that there was no aura remained in the undead body.

“NO!” Chris shouted, he had once glimpse the secret moves of Imperial Sword art that he was yet to unlock. There was a very powerful move in it, a lot powerful than BigDipper. A move where all of the body’s aura concentrated in the tip of a sword. Yet before he could warn, the lifeless body spoke.

Imperial Sword art - Sirius

This secret move had never made its debut before, so none had any idea about. Even the Parvians present were unaware of it. The all might of Samson focused on tip of his sword was coming to greet Reina and Hans. He was already out of Hans's control and speeding up like a drill.

“TideWall.” Kansas released his tsunami, blocking the path of Samson’s move and Norwin strengthened it with his Skill IceCocoon. With two warlords combining the skill. It was as tough as the ice walls surrounding them.

As if it wasn’t enough, Eleanor finally called upon his defensive spirit. “Berta.” He shouted and a huge shell of a turtle, made of pale green light encased Hans and Reina. Unlike Samson, Eleanor specialised in defences and was proving why he was second ranked knight.

Whereas, Reina inside the three layered defence, didn’t stagger an inch. It was not her courage, but the desperation that held her firm. It was her only chance and she wasn’t going to let it waste. She remained still, conjuring all of her into her last skill.

On the other, Rudolf was not on the defensive. He attacked Samson head on, trying to obstruct his incoming drill with his own Ascension. This time not towards the sky, but right at Samson’s path.

“BOOM!” Rudolf’s Ascension met the quick projectile of Samson but the old knight was running on fumes, his skill was tore down like a paper. Clearly allowing a path for Samson to the second line of defence, the frozen Tsunami. But it was for naught as it wasn’t something that could stop Samson’s Sirius attack.

Yet, to negate those two, Samson’s Sirius lost some momentum and when it met the turtle spirit shell. It finally halted. Hans took a breath of relief, his VoidZone was a dud stopping Samson, even in ElderForm.

However, as Hans, many misjudged the situation. The spirit shell began to crack and finally Samson’s drill breached in. Reina quick on feet, spun, making herself parallel to Samson along the ground. She was beneath him and her sword dug a deep slash, from his face to the bottom. A clean permanent damage to the undead.

Yet even with grave wound Samson didn’t stopped. From the beginning Hans was the original target. “Oh! Come on. Don’t you see, first and second rank there.” Hans cried in frustration. And just before Samson reached Hans. The Death king spoke with a wicked grin, “You just made yourself a bigger target.”

“I can be bigger than this,” Hans cried, as he erupted several layers of huge SharpDeath steel spikes from his Elderform, like a porcupine acting to protect itself. He missed not being able to use mana storm, but it was a tradeoff in becoming the Elderwood. He knew well, how much of pain he was going to endure if he faced Samson head on. Since every fibre of Elderform was connected to his conscience, he ejected himself out while Samson obliterated the ever-growing husk.

But Samson’s attack had limit, Hans didn’t, courtesy of his own. Battle of attrition was Hans’s unwilling speciality.
