Chapter 37 – Everything is ready

Aiden carried Lia with him until the house where they were living.

After Lia and Aiden spoke about the happened in the fight, the pair continued their path in silence. Seemingly, they didn’t wish interrupt the atmosphere between the two.

Like Aiden said, he didn’t regret appearing even after knowing all the possible consequences of it.

After all, he preferred risking a possible trouble before leaving Lia at her devices when facing a possibly dangerous situation.

Due it, even when he knew that it was possible for troubles to chase him after today, he didn’t regret acting.

Lia, now smiling slightly despite the fatigue, apparently was able of feeling his thoughts; because from the moment when Aiden told her that she was more important, she had not ceased of smiling foolishly.

Seeing it, Aiden was unable of avoid smiling too, and simply decided to maintain the silence while the pair found solace in the warm of each other.

Like it, they advanced for a few minutes before reaching their house.

Aiden, yet holding Lia in his arms, walked towards the door while smiling. Then, he paused abruptly.

A youth was standing beside the door.

Aiden took a step back instinctively after seeing the youth. It was because he was unable of feeling the youth from the moment when he reached at the house until now.

Worse yet, even though the youth was in front of him, Aiden only noticed the youth when they were this close.

Lia, noticing Aiden’s abnormality, turned her sight towards the place where Aiden was looking and put a serious expression too.

None of them was able of sensing something about the youth.

It was like if there wasn’t anyone.

Grabbing strongly the body of Lia, Aiden put a guarded expression and tried position his body in the most convenient form possible to answer any attack coming against them.

However, a second after doing it, a surprised expression appeared in the faces of both Aiden and Lia.

It was because the one besides the door was someone the pair knew.

Unexpectedly, it was the youth that was always sleeping in the counter of the rundown shop where Heavens’ Net was located.

Noticing the identity of the intruder, apart from the expression of shock in their faces, the pair relaxed their guards slightly. After all, they could be considered acquittances after two years of using the services of the old man.

Of course, it didn’t help to alleviate the shock of the pair after seeing the youth appearing suddenly before them.

After all, though the pair suspected that the youth wasn’t simple, simply because of the place where him worked, it came like a surprise for them that the youth was strong enough to appear before them without they being able of feeling anything.

For a moment, both parties stayed silent.

But at the end, the youth was the first to speak.

Wth the same sleepy expression he always had, the youth raised his face lazily and spoke in a low tone after a stifled yawn.

“… My master sent me to bring the things that you ordered.”

Seeing the youth pointing towards the ground, Aiden looked down only to see a few wood boxes containing some unknow objects inside.

With an expression of understating and expectation in his face, Aiden was unable of hide the excitement even after doing everything in his might to suppress it.

“Young master! It’s the remaining materials!”

With an even more excited expression, Lia smiled broadly and spoke to Aiden after seeing the boxes.

“Hmm.” Nodded Aiden with an even greater smile.

The youth was apparently able of understand their excitement because he did nothing to calm them. Even more, he smiled briefly like if happy of seeing the scene.

But that expression faded quickly and was replaced for one of pity and sadness that the pair was unable of notice.

Sighing briefly, the youth looked towards the pair with a complicated expression before making his mind and choosing to speak despite risking the scolding of his master.

“You must be careful with this. Things probably will not so easy like you two expected.”

Hearing the warning in the youth tone, Aiden could not help but wear a doubting expression and asking: “Do you perhaps know something?”

The youth hesitated slightly before speaking with a clearly complicated tone: “Though I cannot say too much, I can tell you that creating a spirit is not so simple like you think. I only hope that you are careful.”

“… Thanks.” It was the only thing that Aiden could answer after hearing the clear concern in the voice of the youth.

“Very well, now I brought it, I must leave. I truly hope for your success.” With a small smile in his sleepy face, the youth began to walk to leave the house before pausing for a moment. “If you are able of doing it, I will tell you a secret the next time we meet.” Then, he left.

Aiden thought deeply about the words that the youth left, trying to understand the meaning.

Though he knew that the old man in Heavens’ Net had an idea about the thing he was going to do, he didn’t expect that the youth that was always sleeping knew about it too.

Though after thinking it a bit more, he was able to understand the reason.

It’s normal for the old man tell him about some things like his master.

Of course, it didn’t explain the concern that the youth show.

Leaving it in the back of his mind after being unable of comprehend the reason, Aiden looked down and saw Lia, resting in his arms with a pondering expression.

“What is it, Lia?” Spoke Aiden seeing it.

“Nothing important, young master.” Smiled she slightly to reassure him. “I am thinking about something I find strange.”

Seeing the expression of doubt in Aiden’s face, Lia looked towards the place where the youth left and spoke after a bit of hesitation.

“Don’t you find him very familiar?”

“Familiar?”

“Yes. I have the impression that I saw him in another place, but I’m not sure where.”

Hearing her words, Aiden thought briefly before tossing the thought away. Then, while looking to the boxes in the ground, he spoke in a lightheaded tone.

“Probably you confused him for someone else, don’t worry about it. We better look to the things that the old man sent.”

Seeing the expression of excitement in her young master, Lia thought it was cute and smiled too, forgetting about the topic.

“You are right, young master.”

Han was moving between the shadows of the city at an incredible speed, such that none of the people in the surroundings was able of noticing something.

Inside his world of shadows, Han was running while thinking about the pair of sweethearts and the words of his master about them.

Knowing about the despairing future before the two, he sighed heavily.

“I hope that a miracle happens, Aiden, Lia. I hope that everything goes well…”

Then, left behind for the wind, four words more were heard.

“I wish you luck.”

It was everything he could do for such unfortunate pair.
