Chapter 30 – Surging Undercurrents
In the marketplace in the border city of Cali.
A pair of youths, both of handsome appearance, were walking towards a rundown shop hidden in a corner.
Both youths had a very striking appearance; one with black and red hair and the other with white strands adorning his black hair. Many people turned towards them every time they walked around.
But even more striking than their appearance was their cultivation. Both have cultivations in the middle stages of core-fusing; and though it could not be considered monstrous, it was certainly outstanding for 18-year youths.
The two youths were between the most excellent members of the Noah clan in this generation, and though their talent could not be considered together with the strongest genius in this generation, they were certainly at the top.
Currently, the two were in the middle of a mission issued urgently for the clan; and precisely that mission was the reason because they were visiting Heavens’ Net.
Seeing the frowning expression in his companion, the black-red haired guy teased him slightly.
“Are you thinking about it yet?”
“I don’t know why but I found that guy familiar.” The black-white haired guy spoke seriously. “I think he was related to something important, but I don’t know what it was.”
“Are you sure about it?” Asked the taller guy doubtfully “I think it is better if we concentrated in the mission instead of your strange guesses. To be sincere that guy wasn’t different of any commoner apart from his strength.”
“Is he perhaps some young expert?”
“Don’t be idiot. I don’t think any young expert goes around buying groceries.”
Hearing the mocking tone of his companion, the black-white haired guy frowned bothered. The other youth, seeing it, changed the topic.
“Don’t think anymore about it. Let’s go, we are already near the place.”
Hearing his companion, the youth said exasperated: “How can the clan sent us here without support? We have to do the work of servants due it!”
“C’mon, c’mon, don’t be mad. You know the importance of this mission and that the clan had not more option but send us earlier because we were already closer to the place. We need learn about the situation before our seniors come.”
Hearing his companion, the youth with black hair filled with white strands stayed silent though his bothered face was proof of his humor.
In contrast, his companion maintained a smiling face for the rest of the path until the shop. Seeing the boy sleeping in the counter, he spoke a few palabras before being granted access to the underground room.
Once inside, the pair found a creepy old man with only a candle illuminating his face. Already accustomed at the eccentricities of Heavens’ Net, the pair sat nonchalantly and spoke.
“We need know all the information you have about the Supreme Emptiness Flame.”
…
After the pair left the store, a strange shadow moved behind the sitting old man. Already knowing who it was, the old man kept silent waiting for his disciple words.
“Master, are them from the Noah clan?”
“Yes, little Han. I didn’t think they would come so fast.”
“… Do you think that they will discover Aiden?”
“Who knows?” Answered the old man. “If he is discovered then it was his fate. Though I feel pity for him, I will not interfere not matter what happens.”

The man paused for a moment before speaking at his apprentice.
“Go, we have many more clients to attend today.”
…
In the outskirts of the town of Cali, an ostentatious object appeared in the sky.
The object has the form of a ship but was mysteriously floating in the skies with an unknown method.
A white haired old man was in the bow of the flying ship with a lively girl besides him looking excitedly towards the town.
“We are finally here. I hope we are lucky enough to gain something from it.”
“Don’t worry grandpa! I’m sure the Supreme Emptiness Flame will belong at our Great Flame Palace!”
“I hope so little girl, I hope so.”
A moment later, the ship disappeared from the sky and the pair of old and young appeared in the entrance of the town.
…
An imponent flying ship was flying at great speed towards the border city of Cali.
The flying ship was completely golden. It was decorated with all kind of ornaments and a giant lion head made of gold was ubicated in the prow, giving away the origin of the artifact.
In the inside, a handsome youth with golden hair and heroic appearance was sitting with a group of soldiers around him. Behind them, two old men were meditating with the eyes closed while emitting powerful fluctuations of might.
The youth appearance was around twenty years, and his demeanor gave a regal air that influenced the soldiers around him.
“How much left until we reached at the town of Cali?”
“We will be there before tonight, fourth prince.”
“Very well. Now that the Supreme Emptiness Flame was glimpsed in our territory we must do everything to get it.” Spoke the youth in a commanding tone. Then, gazing toward the two old man behind him, he spoke with a more subdued tone. “Uncles, I hope that you can help me when the time comes.”
“Don’t worry.” Said one of the men without opening his eyes. “Now we are here we are not going to allow for any other power obtain the Supreme Emptiness Flame. You must only worry about maintaining the other members of the young generation under control.”
“Don’t worry uncles. After all, who can compare at our Lion Clan in this empire!? I will show to all the so-called geniuses the difference between them and a true genius with the bloodline of the imperial Lion Clan!”
Hearing the words of the youth, the old man kept silent before speaking again with a serious tone, without opening his eyes yet. “Don’t underestimate them. Many powers have been attracted to the news of the Supreme Emptiness Flame. I’m sure that many powerful geniuses will appear in the coming days.”
The golden-haired youth only snorted hearing it, showing his disdain for the so-called geniuses.
Incredibly, his cultivation was at the middle phase of the spirit awakening stage.
…
In a luxurious room inside a mansion in the border city of Cali, a dark-skinned youth was eating while hearing the reports of his many subordinates. Behind him, two young servants were kneeling with frightened faces. They were the two youths Aiden fought earlier in the day.
“Are you telling that you were unable of find the one what hit my men?” Said him calmly after hearing the words of a subordinate.
“I’m sorry young master. Though we learned he is a local, the inhabitants of the town refused to speak. And you know that the city lord forbade hurting the people of the town. After hearing about the incident, he sent people to monitory our movements, so we were unable of doing anything.”
The dark-skinned man tapped the table softly before turning towards the pair of servants behind him in disgust.
“So much trouble for a pair of trash! For daring to cause trouble in such delicate times I should kill you! If not for the time you had spent serving me, I already would have disposed of you!” Looking towards his subordinates, the young master then spoke. “Cease the search! we will take care of it later. Our priority now is the Supreme Emptiness Flame and we cannot afford to lose the time with the games of a commoner and a pair of servants.”
Thinking then for a moment, he ordered.
“Pay attention to that girl, Ivanna. Our Crow family and her Silver family had been rivals for generations. I’m sure the reason because she intervened earlier was only to cause inconvenient for our family.”
The dark-skinned youth dismissed his subordinates after speaking and continued his meal only with the two servants behind. Then, thinking about the ice-cold girl of the rival family, he smiled demonically.
Come, Ivanna! Show me what you can do this time!
…
In a majestic mansion in the capital of AllGod Kingdom, a girl with black and golden hair was walking silently towards the office of the patriarch of the clan. With a short blue dress, a pair of golden eyes and a saber resting in her waist, combined with her cold expression, the girl emitted a heroic beauty able of conquering practically any man.
Reaching towards the door of the patriarch’s office, the girl knocked the door twice before hearing an indication for her to enter.
“Excuse me.” Said the girl, looking towards the imposing middle-aged man sitting behind a desk.
Seeing the calm and cold expression in the girl face, the patriarch frowned briefly before speaking his intentions directly.
“Sia, though you just left seclusion, I have an important mission for you. You will go to the Lion empire, to a small town bordering the lost forest. The Supreme Emptiness Flame apparently appeared there.” The middle-aged man paused briefly before continuing. “You are the strongest in the young generation of the clan, so you wouldn’t have any problem. The mission is extremely important, so two elders will accompany you. Don’t disappoint me.”
Seeing the girl neither nodding nor speaking, the patriarch could only helplessly wave his hand indicating for her leave.
Once outside, the girl stopped for a moment before walking to her residence to search for the things necessary for the travel.
While walking, only a thought was in her mind.
Where are you now…?
… Aiden
