INTERLUDE – JOHNN’S BEGINNING
Johnny still wondered why he had this nightmare on rare occasions. It normally happened to him when he felt guilty for screwing up. He would think that making a daring rescue would get him praise by everyone. it only got him an honorable discharge from the military. He was lucky with his reputation and a few members of the jury and board decided to give him some mercy. He had tried to plead that his case was justified. He was eventually indited for mass property damage and going against orders. His petition and retirement were taken from him. That had cost him all his earnings and savings. With nowhere else to go he was worried about what he would do to live.
Even with all the doom and gloom. His heroics didn’t go unnoticed. His actions ended up with him being a local celebrity. Many people had pitied his hero’s welcome and helped Johnny just enough to live bye. The good news didn’t stop there. He was given a call by a startup a few weeks later. A small touring banger series known as the Russler Wreckers wanted Johnny as their main attraction. The payout they promised him would be big. He only stayed for a year before he went to do other mediocre events. Before he landed himself a ride in Banzai Bangers.
Johnny ended up on a mission that ended up turning out poorly. The special ops team he was with had to infiltrate an offshore island during the night. The task was a contracted job. They were given orders to rescue hostages that had been taken captive during a coup. Johnny was the assigned getaway driver for the mission. He had ferried everyone there in stealthy silence.
Everything had been going to plan. The special ops had made to the shore and into there target location. Johnny would drive the boat around the scout for any enemies. The group was doing good until their way back.
Heading back to meet Johnny the others fell into an ambush. In later years more news of the event leaked out that someone had tipped off the operation. No one could be caught on the info leak.

Things started to go bad. Everyone was either out of the fight or pinned down. Johnny was unsure what to do with all the vehicles on the island. Everyone was now trying to swarm in on the group as they were backed up against a wall only 500 feet from him. Johnny watched from the boat as a vehicle lost control. The driver was taken out by a headshot as it careened towards Johnny’s position. The truck rolled to a stop as the driver fell out 100 feet from Johnny.
The onslaught kept coming with no stop. Johnny decided that he needed to help. He slowly crept up to the shot-up truck. He had found the dead man was carrying weapons. Johnny took them and loaded up into the truck. He knew what he was doing was dangerous and reckless.
His comrades were under heavy fire as he drove the truck in the opposite direction. He saw a hill that gave him an idea. Johnny drove the truck off the hill like a ramp before jumping out and making a dash towards another abandoned vehicle. He didn’t have time to see what happened. All he needed was the distraction to work.
The runaway truck jumped the hill as it plowed into a bunch of storage drums filled with gas. The truck exploded on impact. Sending loud deafening explosion that lit up the night. It kept rolling before it crashed into a munition’s storage. The thugs were now confused of what was going on. Johnny took the cue from his next act. He had spotted a heavily armored transport sitting alone. He had taken the abandoned vehicle to drive the transport. The keys had been left in haste to handle the new issue. The fire that Johnny had caused was slowly beginning to consume the island.
His group still couldn’t get free even with the chaos. Most of the coup was busy battling the growing inferno. Others had the group pinned. Johnny made a made dash with the transport as he plied and ran over coup members, vehicles, and all to the group. He had managed to load the truck with enough explosives were one fiery conclusion. He bailed out as he sent the transport in the remaining coup members pinning the group down. The transport collided and exploded causing even more chaos. The transport barreled into the remaining vehicles causing them to go up at once. The firestorm left a wall between the group to escape. Johnny soon joined them as everyone made a run for it.
Johnny fired up the boat as he sped away into the night as everyone watched the island burn…
