CHAPTER 13 - ONE MAN’S REVENGE - PART 2
The captain was glad he had plundered the artifact of a hidden temple from this world. It made his power two fold. He honestly didn’t care if his actions had straight out caused a civIl war between the dragoniods and the planet’s inhabitants. He was needing more power in case he ran into more troubles from being an exile. With limited resources he needed what could get.
The captain had been a little bewildered by how much destructive power he had unleashed. His ship had lost a lot of crew and taken significant damage.
“To think this thing had this much power. I should have had this to begin with to defeat her.” The captain spoke to himself thinking about losing to Qin.
This time however the tables were turned as he hit her point blank range. The dragoniod guard jumping in the way was a nuisance. He thought he had managed to kill her in one hit. That is until he found her summons trying to dig her out. He followed them and began to finish them off.
The captain let out a chuckle seeing Qin buried under tons of metal. He mocked her as he was going to finish her off. That was until a new threat broke his gaze. He was hit by a weak magic spell.
He turned to look at the new threat to see a blond elf with light skin. He cursed under his breath. He would have to deal with the female dragoniod after this. Things only got more confusing when another dragoniod dropped in with a female wolf-humanoid.
The captain stood their dumb founded with the new arrivals. It wasn’t the dragoniod that confused him, but the wolf girl. Why is one of my own crew turning against me? Has the imperial league finally tracked me down? The confusion soon turned to panic. He tried to use the artifact again. Unfortunately, it needed to cooldown after it had just been used. He grumbled in frustration as he had to cast basic spells now…

Cleo and the dragoniod knew Julia and Qin were in big trouble. The two were big assets they couldn’t lose. They were the only ones with potent healing magic in the group. They would have to fight whatever threat had caused the gaping hole in the ship to save them.
The dragoniod summoned two dragons to get them down to the deck Julia was fighting on. They dove right in and Cleo rolled off in a protective stance in front of Julia. While the guard went to Qin to protect her.
Cleo got a good look at the captain. It made her think of her past fighting for the imperial army as an assassin. She couldn’t tell who the man was, but had a bad feeling about him. At first he just stood frozen looking at Cleo like he was in a state of confusion. His body soon changed from confused to rage as he attacked.
Cleo lept into action dodging all his attacks with ease. She was uncertain why she was able to dodge them so easily.
Julia soon joined Cleo in the fighting.. She had dried blood on her and a few cuts. Otherwise she looked less for wear thanks to her healing magic.
“I’ve managed to slow down his attacks. It still isn’t enough to get to him. The spells although slow, are too powerful.”

Cleo had just listened to what Julia said. Cleo turned her cybernetic arms into daggers and charged. She closed in on the captain as she let out hit-and-run attacks on him. She was having to pull back after every hit. She was able to get in on the openings, but had to retreat when the man casted a spell. It only annoyed him as his injuries seemed to heal faster than she could do damage.
While this was going on. The dragoniod who was protecting Qin had managed to get his summons to dig her out. The captain was too busy dealing with Cleo to notice as he dragged her away to a hiding spot to heal. Julia and Cleo saw him pull her free and made sure he was focused on them when she was pulled away.
Qin thanked the man as she was now working on mending her broken limbs and bones. It would take time for her to heal all her injuries. She just focused on her major ones. She had the draginoiod assist her as she pulled out the mental shrapnel in her arm. Blood poured out fast. She was able to close the wound quickly.
Qin's mana began to plummet with the healing effects. She was at about half when she managed to heal every broken limb and bone. She needed to conserve what little mana she had left to fight back and get everyone home who survived.
She had to pull out a healing salve from one of her dragon summons she had with her. She was going to have many scars for sure after this fight. She sat their with the other dragoniod as he helped apply the salve on her wounds.

The captain was getting very irritated with the wolf-girl. He needed to end this. She kept coming back and forth at him with nonstop hits everytime she got an opening. He could tell her stamina was depleting. It would only be a matter of time before she would collapse from exhaustion.
He smirked at the idea thinking of how he could capture or just kill her. Then he would finish off the other dragoniod that had been a pain in his side. His thought of Qin made him turn to where she had been, but was now gone.
The man froze, letting Cleo get more attacks before he activated the artifact's power. it had been halfway to full power when he unleashed another explosive barrage. Even in his rage state he was clear to know not to use all of the artifacts power this time. He used a quarter of it with the attack.
His attack hit Cleo, but wasn’t enought to deal fatal damage. She had to jump out of the way as her cybernetic legs were blasted to pieces. Julia ran to drag her out of the way as the captain approached both of them in a fury. His attack unfortunately had been poorly aimed and timed. The attack blasted its way to the bow section of the ship in an upwards direction. Vanishing into the upper decks of the ship.
He thought he had the upper hand. Five more figures appeared out of the sky. Four were male dragonios and the other was a cat-humanoid. Realizing he was outmatched, the captain tried to flee, but lost his balance when an explosion could be heard. The others also lost their balance as warning alarms began to blare.
The ship began to nose dive and bow first, while it began to slowly list to starboard. The captain managed to get away from the group. He had failed at killing Qin, but right now he had bigger issues to deal with as he ran for the bridge…

Yin and Lisa along with the other dragoniod guards had to fight their way to the bow of the ship. Things had gotten more complicated when they found a massive hole blown inside the ship. The three dragniod guards and Yin had to use their summons to clear paths as well and fly to other areas when they couldn't get across.
The five of them managed to get their just in the nick of time as Julia was pulling a wounded Cleo away. Their arrival made the captain run in a panic not before falling over from losing his balance. They also stumbled but got their footing. By then the captain had fled.
Qin had joined the others when the captain had fled and was given the okay signal from the dragoniod.
“We need to get out of her now!” Who was tending to Cleo’s wounds.
The ship slowly began to list to starboard as everyone got on a summoned mount. Julia ended up with a bigger one while she held Cleo. Her wounds had been healed, but her cybernetic legs had been blasted off. She was at risk off falling off.
Everyone flew through the gaping hole in the upper deck of the ship as they made their escape…
