CHAPTER 19 - THE ALLIANCE'S TRIAL
Johnny was awoken by approaching guards. They were followed by Cleo, Orion, and the portal mage. The mage looked to be okay from Johnny's prospective.
“The council of elders is going to decide on your fate for causing all this trouble.” One of them said.
The guards opened the cell to let them out as they were given no room to move. A dragoniod casted a spell that put invisible restraints on there hands.
“Just let me do all the talking and you answer only when I need you to okay JulIa.” Orion spoke to her. She nodded in agreement. No one was in a good mood with how things turned.
The group reached the elders council chambers as they went on trial.
The green and white dragoniod elders don't have a happy look on their face, while the black elder’s face was neutral. Qin's parents had a look of disdain. They had a look of worry, as if they knew something was at play and it wasn't there fault.
The green elder was the first to speak when they all walked in. “I told you we shouldn't have accepted their help. I had a feeling they couldn't be trusted.”
Qin's mother spoke back.
“This whole thing is a waste of time, honestly they were set up. This whole thing makes me think you are behind.” Qin’s mother said pointing a finger at the green elder.
“What proof do you have?” He replied with a raised brow.
The arguing continued until tge black dragon let out a loud dealing roar.
“Enough, bickering will get us nowhere to solving the matter. We'll go over tye evidence as a council and decide their fate from there. Are we clear?”
The other elders grumbled in frustration. Before going quite.
“Now then. Each party can have a representative for their part. We have the opposing, the defendants, and the supporting parties. Since both opposing and supporting parties are at a deadlock. I'll listen to decide the tie breaker. Each party can have a speaker on their behalf. The Opposing party will go first followed by the supporting party. Last the defedants will make their claim and ill make the vote from there.”
Everyone broke in some chatter before the black dragon let out a low growl, silencing everyone.

Orion volunteered to be the speaker for their group. Qin’s father took up role for tye supporting party. While the green elder took up for the opposing party.
The green elder dragonoid was the first to step to speak. “Well one of the portal mages guards was quick to sabotage the summoning ritual. He left behind that void crystal.” The green elder pulled it out to show the black elder.
“Why should we trust and help those who have their own infiltration issues? You told me yourself Orion in our meeting that you should watch everyone around. Yet one of your trusted guards ended up back stabbing you.” He continued his banter.
Orion chose his words carefully as he spoke in defense.
“While it is true that the loathing one is infiltrating the alliance. I can’t say that perhaps you have a traitor as well somewhere. Perhap’s i could be you or onecof your own underlings.” He pointed at the green elder.
Orion then turned to the black dragon elder. “Think about it. I was given reports from the portal mage. That one of her guards was acting up prior to the days before being attacked. She reported the guard having to excuse himself on multiple occasions. There were a few nights were she found him missing with the other guards as well.”
Qins parents ended up speaking next, realizing what was going on.
“Now that Irion mentions it. You haven't been accepting our requests or calls for crafted items. We don't even see you much in the meeting chamber. You mostly just stay in your own quarters ignoring everything else.”
Even the white dragoniod elder said some comments before the black elder raised a brow in confusion. What was being an investigation from the attack turned on into an interaction of the green elder.
Before anything else could be said, the ground shook violently. “What is going on?” One of the elder’s asked in a concerned tone.
The ground kept shaking more violently as the seconds went by. Suddenly, magic warning alarms started to go off.
A guard came running in to report the situation to the elders. “The Palasco faction is attacking in a mass attack. They just appeared out of nowhere in a giant star ship. They are currently blasting the peaks. I've also gotten word the portal is trying to spew out rift eaters.”
Everyone began to lose their cool at that news as the shaking continued. One blast was so violent, part of the ceiling caved in as it fell to the ground below. Dust was kicked up everwhere as wveryone coughed. In the confusion the green elder ran in a panic.
Orion spoke up after the dust settled. “ Well i cant prove the green elder is behibd this, but him fleeibf proves a point.” Sighing he turned to face the black dtagoniod elder. “If we help you deal with this faction. Will you drop the matter and consider us as allies?” Orion spoke up to the council. The leader of the elders decided to do an override.
“If you manage to defeat or get them away we consider you as allies. That is if you even succeed. If you manage to pull off some miracle. I’ve decided to have you all banished either way. Including you two and all of your support.” The lead elder pointed to Qin’s parents.
They were taken off guard by the comment. “I have no time to explain why I made my decision for your exile from here. All I can say is I know you have been pulling a few strings for them.” He pointed at Johnny and his group.
“This trial is dismissed. Go and do what you must to get rid of them or don’t come back at all. I am giving you mercy here.”
Everyone was at a loss for words as they ran for their posts.
