EPILOGUE

“How could you idiots screw this all up?” A voice said. It was ancient and powerful, making the ones it was talking to tremble in fear.

“I don’t know what to say, sire. The plan was perfect but somehow thwarted by the new champion, even with our sabotage attempts…”

“I do not take failure as an option. You idiots better make sure the next world falls without issue. The Evil Eye needs to be feared, not laughed at.” The voice cut out as the others sighed with relief. They had been spared from dealing with a punishment this time.

The group sat in silence for a few moments before someone spoke up. A tall figure sitting at the center of a table with four others made his claim.

“I really don't even know what to say with this whole outcome. Schemer did his job causing civil unrest, while Dreamer made the citizens dillusional to our influence. Heck even Admiral did a good job of getting the recourse to take down the world, even creator's means of modifying everything working. It was all because of that new champion.”

“Honestly no one could have predicted the champion would have such a vendetta against “The Exploiter”, I'll need to choose my next choice more wisely.”

The others at the table looked at a beefy looking human man in an admiral’s uniform. The man had many scars from fights he had gotten over the years.

“Well if we had done things my way, we could have killed him off. He just got lucky with each of our attempts to stop him. The mystic rift eater should have killed him for sure.” The Creator spoke.

“if we had done things your way, things would go very badly. You are still very new and inexperienced to the council. It was very idiotic of you to actually possess one of his clones for that race you created as well as giving him the core fragment.” One of the members spoke up.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

“Well I thought I could try to kill him early on with the core fragment,” The Creator spoke back. The others sighed before another member spoke up.

“The Admiral may have gotten you this opening, but disregarding the plans and rules will get you demoted or worse. Your lucky The Loathing One has some tolerance for failures with new screw-up. Someone spoke up.

“Yeah, count youself lucky. I've been on thin ice for my screw ups. I honestly picked the wrong idiots to sabotage the Radiant Alliance's operations. Why do they always need to blab about our plans when they are picked? So much for bad egos I guess…”

The others looked at her. The one who spoke was a shadowy figure hidden in a dark cloak. Her face was concealed by a dark mask. The others called her “The Dreamer.”

The group bickered back and forth about other failures.

The remaining two members, the Mastermind and the Schemer, spoke up to give suggestions, but no one was in the mood to hear anything right then. The talks continued as they gave each other suggestions to figure out how to take over the next world.

The man in the admiral’s uniform spoke up with the meeting was winding down.

“I’ll make sure my next Chosen is more ruthless and cunning than the last.” He said as he was about to get up to leave.

“Perhaps I could help you select your next Chosen, Admiral?” The shadow cloaked figure said to his colleague.

“No thanks, Draemer, I know my enemy better than you do, the Champion that killed the Chosen isn’t your average joe. He has a fighting background that makes him unpredictable. I need to choose someone for the next world.”

“Very well, I hope your next pick doesn’t screw up like the last one. It seemed the champion had a vendetta against that Chosen.”

“Anyways, I need to find pawns to use to fight with on the next world…”

The others dismissed themselves as they figured out how to appease The Loathing One.

The Loathing One sat on his throne contemplating his next move. The eldritch god had just finished meeting with his council of followers, The Evil Eye they were called.

The idiots really screwed up this time. This is the first time they have managed to fail horribly at taking down a world. The eldritch god sighed before looking at the visual replay of Johnny’s escapades.

Perhaps I should be less merciful to that new champion. After all, he did refuse my offer. I am surprised he was able to resist, but thanks to that chosen, I have more influence over him now. I'll just have to figure out a way to break him when the time comes. Still, I like to have fun with my prey. I’ll have to get more creative with making sure he suffers. Perhaps, I'll use his brother in one of my contingencies if all else fails…

The Loathing One sat there thinking of how he could mess with Johnny next….
