During our conversation, the goblin started to disintegrate eventually leaving a small gem in its place. Tyler, noticing the gem, walks over to pick it up.
“Hey, is this mana gem Zain?” Tyler asks inquisitively as he picks up the small sphere.
“It’s pretty small but I think so,” I say back while looking at it.
“Fuck ya, this is like 100 bucks right here,” Tyler explains exuberantly while tossing the small ball in the air. Laughing he packs the small gem into a pouch on his side.
“Dang, I read that these things are super rare before the third floor, guess we got super lucky then,” Tyler says with a wide grin covering his face.
Tyler and I started a small goblin genocide on the first floor after that with most of them dropping a mana gem. About 3 hours into our rampage we get our first level-ups. A quick *ding* is heard in my ear as the wonderful feeling of leveling up spreads through my body. I pull up my stat screen to see the changes.

[TITLES]
{Winner by luck - rases luck to 99}
Ok, so {Hex of slowness} shot up in levels. It was kinda expected given the fact that I got it to its pinnacle form {Curse of Sloth} that it might be easy to level it up. Too bad you had to be level 10 to evolve skills is tier 2.
Just like last time Novice Hexer gets me one point in intelligence. Normally, I would put my free point into constitution or dexterity but I have a better idea for the point. You get a title for the first stat you got to 100. I was going to test that out what title that was with luck. Without any more debate, I plopped the point into luck and hit confirm.
[TITLE GAINED]
{Lucky - Things are more likely to go in your favor}
Now I’m having mixed feelings. On one hand, this could be a wonderful title that brings great fortune. Or it could do literally nothing. That was the drawback with vague skill and titles, either lots of power or barely any.
Well, no point in wondering about it. The choice was set in stone and it was only one point. Checking on Tyler it seemed like he had also leveled up.
“Hey Tyler, did you level up?” I asked him to check.
“What, oh ya I leveled up. Got one point in strength” Tyler says after taking his eyes off the screen only he could see.
“Oh, I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to this class on the tower. The government is sponsoring it to inform tower goers, such as ourselves, on some of the less known things.” Tyler asked me after a second.
This could be pretty useful to jog my memory of the before the monster waves started.
“Sure, that sounds awesome,” I say back.
