The following morning, you are woken by the sunlight streaming in through the window of your room. The sleep and rest work wonders, as you feel rested and ready to continue your journey. You pack your rucksack and leave your room and then the hotel. You look back at the village and nod with determination.

Your path now seems to lead into a forest. The freshness and greenery do you good after all the exertions you have been through and you breathe in the air deeply. You think you have detected a hint of sweetness in it, but you don't give it a second thought. You enjoy the silence, the chirping of the birds and the tentative steps you take. But then your euphoria and high spirits are curbed.

The path in front of you splits into three paths, but no signposts seem to be in sight.

The left-hand path seems bright and cheerful, a place of good magic, but it could also be a trap. The right-hand path leads on just as you had known it before, inviting but distant as you look at it. The path in the middle seems the darkest. A little cold air flows towards you.
