Before entering, one of the servants knocked and placed cups of Arabian coffee across the table. Eleni finally spoke as he walked away. “So, just to be clear about our next move, Osir is now the bad guy, and you actually wanted us to let him get Nadine?”
Chan-mi sipped her cup and replied, “Yes.”
“But if he gets her, the universe will end.”
“Yes, that is exactly what we need to happen,” Chan-mi stated solemnly.
“Am I the only one who thinks it’s a little excessive?” Eleni said as she reached for her cup.
“It is, but if we can get the human bennu, we will be fine,” Camellia said, eyeing her. “Hopefully.”
“Awesome.” Eleni sighed defeatedly.
After a while.
Chan-mi was the first to stand, followed by Eleni and Camellia. Darkness hung over the room, covering every square inch of it. The air felt suffocating and sticky. The darkness gradually faded, revealing the new location they were in.
A massacre was a simple word associated with what they witnessed. The unrecognizable city was filled with burning dead bodies, shredded flesh, and running blood.
Their lungs ached from the unbearable stench of blood running between demolished buildings, which resembled a waterfall covering the cracked ground mixed with burning flesh.
A horrifying cry filled their ears, forcing them to turn their heads in its direction. “Is that her?!” Chan-mi just shrugged her shoulders. “My god! This is terrifying!” Eleni said.
They walked between the broken bricks, their feet buried in the bloody mud. The city was dim, completely dark, but a bright light came from behind one of the demolished buildings, giving it an absolute light and aura that seemed foreign to it.
“It was just supposed to be a regular fight between those two clans.” Chan-mi indicated two dead bodies. “The unbalance of the other reality abruptly reflected this one, resulting in Farah’s death.” They came to a halt at the back of the building, where a blinding light was bursting.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Farah, the human Bennu, is lying on the ground with a beaten body and open wounds. Her hair was raven black, and she had thick eyelashes and brows. Her beautiful face was covered in bruises. The bright light shone from every cell in her, giving her the appearance of a fallen angel.
Before squatting next to Farah’s dead body, Chan-mi looked at Camellia and said, “I won’t be able to hold her soul for long without a body. You must work fast.” Chan-min squatted down and placed her hand on Farah’s forehead. She stood up after closing her eyes for a few seconds. “We have like forty minutes max.”
The girls both nodded simultaneously. “All right, let’s get started.” Chan-min swirled her fingers through the air, revealing a thin layer of clear paper between her long fingers.
On the paper with her name, black ink appeared. “I call for Farah Yacoub to rise.” The bright light rose slowly from her motionless body, flew briefly, and came to rest next to her. The light changed and revealed a real-life Farah.
Farah took her time looking over her hands and then at her dead body. “Son of a bitch!” Eleni’s chuckle drew her attention. She finally turned to face them. “I’m really dead then.” She pointed to Chan-mi, who dressed her part perfectly. Chan-min bowed slightly as she introduced herself and the girls who waved at her. “I’m going to hell, right?”
Camellia frowned and looked at Chan-mi, who remained silent. “We’re here for another reason. We don’t have much time to tell you the entire story, but you weren’t meant to die now.”
Farah was informed of everything she needed to know by the girls. She listened intently to them, her dark green eyes widening slightly in shock. Chan-mi told her what she needed to do to save the universe. “I’m not going to hell then?” This time, Eleni was the one who was taken aback.
“Are you hearing what we’re saying, Farah darling? We just informed you of the existence of a mirror universe, a deranged Divine obsessed with your alleged companion, and the mere possibility of permanently erasing both universes as we know them. And the only thing you keep asking is are you going to hell? babe, this is hell.” Eleni said flatly.
“Don’t scare her,” Camellia said as she hit Eleni on the shoulder.
Eleni whimpered in agony. “For god’s sake, you’re freaking Sekhmet, your playful punches are not natural.” She put her hand on her shoulder. “I was just making sure she understood what was going on.”
“I understand what you’re saying, I’m just surprised that I didn’t go to hell after all,” Farah spoke with a haunted smile on her face.
Chan-mi smiled as well, as she understood what she meant. “I know, that’s why I came to you, this is a real chance to change everything.” Farah gave her a nod.
“Okay, let’s do it.”
