Chapter Seven~3

The smell of the essence filled the surrounding atmosphere, running chills through their bodies. They opened their eyes and saw a beautiful woman with long, dark red hair and a loose light pink dress standing in front of the Rua Augusta Arch.

“Welcome Eleni and Theia. I am happy you made it on time,” the woman said, smiling fondly at them.

“Thanks… who are you? Is that Rua Augusta? Lisbon! How are we in Portugal!” Eleni looked around and saw the glamorous Rua Augusta with the four angelic statues almost looking live and fearful.

“My name is Dove,” she said and chuckled at Eleni’s shocked face and Theia’s admiring gaze. “This is Agápi… the magical realm of love and passion,” she said and twirled with her dress. Hundreds of pink rose petals flew from her dress as she twirled. Eleni cringed while Theia slightly jumped from her overwhelming excitement. “Come closer. It’s time for your love to rise.”

“Come closer. It’s time for your love to rise,” Dove said again, waving happily at Theia and Eleni. Theia almost jumped from happiness and went immediately to Dove. Eleni followed her, yet she wasn’t sure what to expect from that quirky girl before her.

As they stopped next to Dove, they looked around. The expanse of the Rua Augusta is filled with red and pink flowers in hundreds of amphora vases with drawings of people with wings and angelic looks.

Dove chuckled suddenly, making Eleni jump a little. “Are you excited to meet your love?” Dove asked Theia, holding one of her hands. Theia nodded eagerly, sharing the same energy with her.

Eleni was still skeptical about Dove and the whole magical land Agápi, but Theia’s over-excitement and her desperate need for a lover stopped Eleni from speaking her mind. Dove nodded to Theia, left her hand, and stood across from both.

She clapped her hands once. Hundreds of pink and red petals flew from the vases and gathered in the space between them. It slowly transformed into a rose-golden lectern. On its side is the same drawing as the vases engraved beautifully and on its slanted top was a golden-colored opened book and colorless quill pen next to it.

“To meet your love, Eleni must help you,” Dove said and handed the quill pen to Eleni. “Theia destined love is only guaranteed from within your hands. Your gifted hands can bring her love to life. You can shape her desires and make them a reality. You know what she loves, what she deserves and needs, it’s all in your hands.” Theia jumped, clapping her hands like a little child, finally getting the toy she had wanted for years.

“I’m all for the mystery talk and getting this one to jump like an idiot, but I’m truly not understanding a single word here,” Eleni said sarcastically, waving the feather for extra dramatic effect.

Dove chuckled and said, “You’re a gifted artist, this is moíra; a magical pen that will make anything you draw on the book of Eros become real and full of life.” Eleni looked at the colorless quill pen between her fingers. “Use the essence of Theia’s love as your ink and you’re good to go. My job here is complete and remember, don’t be afraid to open your heart.”

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

Dove poked Theia’s cheeks and then moved to Eleni. “Don’t be late, we have little time,” she said in a suddenly scared tone, then chuckled suddenly and smiled widely before twirly and disappearing within the hundreds of pink rose petals flew from her dress.

Eleni frowned at what Dove said. She looked at Theia, who looked completely impressed by the breathtaking beauty of the Agápi. “Did you hear what she just said?” Eleni said, pointing at the space behind her.

“Oh, my god! I can’t believe I’m finally meeting him,” Theia said. Eleni looked shocked.

“What? Theia, didn’t you hear what she told me? She sounded scared; something is not—”

“Make him handsome, please! Make him dreamy, like a mellow but a manly man.” Theia giggled at her own words.

“For god’s sake!” Eleni rubbed her eyes, annoyed. “Let’s just get this over with. If you keep talking like this, I will murder you.” Eleni took the tiny vase and dipped the tip of the quill pen inside it.

A shiny green liquid ran through the quill. Eleni felt some sort of spark run through her finger, but she ignored it. She looked at Theia’s big puppy eyes and said, “I will draw Aaron Wilson. I know you’re obsessed with him, and I can’t think of anyone else’s face at the moment.”

Theia wanted to argue, but she was obsessed with him; the English singer that she had become a fan of since his first appearance seven years ago was her ideal type.

Eleni drew him to the left side. The magical drill was quick. It let her finish his face in a minute. She smirked at it and looked again at his face. Strong defined diamond face with attractive chin dimple, stubble beard, mesmerizing brown eyes, and thick flat black eyebrows with a little arch. Well-defined nose, sharp full lips, and beautiful thick black tousled medium-length hair that gave him a fresh young vibe.

She looked again at Theia, who stared at the drawing, admiring his face and almost drooling. Eleni cringed and rested her hand on the right paper. “I’ll use the plot of my comics; I can’t think of anything else.”

“Please give it some passion here! I want a new story; I’m meeting my soulmate, for goodness’ sake,” Theia said and smiled widely. “Make it even more romantic and full of passion and unforgettable memories. I want to feel lifted with my soul. I want him to be real and warm.”

“It’s like you’re giving me more reasons to punch you in the face.” Eleni sighed and looked again at the paper. She wrote the plot of her famous comic, she looked once at Theia and said, “before I write anything let’s agree on a couple of things, first, we’re not staying here for too long.”

Theia opened her mouth about to argue but was stopped by Eleni who continued her rules. “I know you want to know him and love him and all that creepy thing you want to do to him, but we don’t know what we’re dealing with here. Small steps till we figure out how this shit works, so I was thinking we could try episode by episode.”

“What! No way, it was over three hundred episodes. They got together near the end! Are you trying to kill me!?”

“I told you to get a boyfriend rather than being that desperate,” Eleni smirked. Theia punched her shoulder, annoyed. “Fine, we can speed things up but not now let’s just figure out how this works, and I will write whatever you want.” Eleni wrote, she begins with a slight description of the city in the comics. Blue tale city, a fictional one inspired by London, Mykonos, and Paris, Eleni’s favorite cities.

The Blue tale city is filled with love and peace. The weather was a mixture of fresh French pastries along with freshly made coffee merged magically with the smell of the sea. Soft music playing along with the cheerful sounds of the blue waves.
