Chapter Thirteen~5

He didn’t see them worthy of such mighty destinies. He clutched his jaw as he walked down the aisle in the middle of the room. Hundreds of blue lotuses floated on the surface of the two clear lakes.

The earthy floral aromatic scent that evoked a narcotic warm misty atmosphere filled the room. Eisai closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, loving the calming smell.

There were two floating boxes at the end of the aisle. Eisai was a few steps away; he snapped his finger. Seven candles appeared and lit up behind and above the two boxes, revealing their golden form with engraved hieroglyphics.

He stepped closer to the boxes and read the engraved words on them. “A spell to hide its true form. Not clever enough.” He chuckled at his own words.

He raised his hands and held the right box, dragging it down; it was still flying in the air. He ran his hand above the engraved spell, whispering the written words backward and in a different order. The engraved words were glowing in bright blue along with Eisai whispers.

With the last word, the box slowly rose in the air. A black impish wisp appeared from the bottom of the golden box, followed by soft, yet scary whispers. The wisps covered the whole box slowly, and it rose higher in the air. The box was completely covered with black wisps, and then a sudden icy wind came from behind it.

Eisai looked up to see a dark hall appear before his eyes. The box slowly moved and stopped right in front of the hall and then dropped to the ground; it cracked, and the black wisps became stronger.

The wisps moved slowly toward Eisai, reaching for his body. Within seconds, it covered him. It was wrapped tightly around his body; he felt his organs crushed and heard some of his bones break, he couldn’t stop himself from the urgent, painful scream that slipped from his lips.

The black wisps slowly tugged him back into the dark hall and right before it covered his head and threw him into the mystery hall, a sharp strong thrust sound hit his ears. The black wisps slowly moved from his face. He looked in the sound’s direction and saw Nebuaui standing behind the black wisps with a large sword merging with his right hand by hundreds of bright blue strings.

Nebuaui glared fiercely at Eisai’s shocked face and thrust the sword into the cracked box on the ground, a low scream came from the black wisps as it went back inside the box, and it flew right back to its place next to the other one.

“How dare you?” Nebuaui said as Eisai’s body slammed to the ground. For a bit, he couldn’t feel his body from the firm grasp of the wisps, yet he stood up and glared back at Nebuaui.

“How dare you! You throw me back to my time without teaching me anything! You and your people are selfish for having all of this to yourselves,” Eisai shouted.

“Selfish! You go back to the past and try to steal the book of the dead for your selfish soul, without knowing what you are dealing with. You want all this power to fall into the hands of people like you! blinded by their greediness and malice,” Nebuaui said. The room faded away, and they were standing in the white void again.

“My people deserve it more than you! I want to change the world for the better, to stop violence and a terrible future. All the powers you keep for yourselves can change our future and improve our world, but you want us to suffer!” Eisai said angrily. The red electric sparks popped up under his skin.

Nebuaui saw it. He frowned and stepped back.

Eisai felt rage burning into his skin. He glared at Nebuaui and squatted down, trying to go back to the forbidden hall. Yet this time it didn’t work. He tried to close his eyes and to think about the hall to go back, but he couldn’t. Nebuaui watched him as he tried to use his power. His grasp over the sword became stronger and his breath became hot and quick.

“How could they do this to you?... how could they!” Nebuaui murmured. Eisai felt the electric spark cutting through his skin as he tried hard to use his power. He screamed and cursed Nebuaui. He squatted again and punched the ground too hard, his hand bleeding.

He stood up fast and grabbed Nebuaui by his neck, trying to choke him. Nebuaui didn’t seem to fear him, only sympathy read from his eyes. Eisai shouted louder at him, trying with all his powers in him to kill Nebuaui.

Nebuaui looked intensely into Eisai’s eyes and said, “Gone… why?!” he pushed Eisai with his left arm, and he collapsed hard on the hard ground, groaning from pain. Before Eisai could do or say anything, white strings came out of the ground, gripping his arms and legs to the ground.

“In the name of Heka, Montu, and the mighty heart,” Nebuaui said, thrusting his sword strongly into Eisai’s heart, moving up and slashing his head. Mighty burning light exploded from Eisai’s body along with his screams.
