Chapter Twenty-one~5

As he took a deep breath, the white sheet completely covered his face. Theia called out Nadine’s name, and the red thread began to swirl around the Puntina. Eleni wrapped her hand around his face tightly. “Per chi vuole la verità rivelata, il cuore aperto e il segreto svelato.” Eleni said in a clear heard voice. “Nel nome di Eleni, guardiano di moíra.”

The white sheet’s bright whiteness faded with a crawling red color thread, staining the whiteness with aggressive stubble. Liam sighed as the thread began to form an image. His senses of reality pulled from beneath his body, leaving him with the sensation of falling into an endless hole.

Jazz music faintly playing in the background. His pained soul was filled with the scent of freshly printed books melting into a hazelnut scent with a hint of mint. Ease and calm enveloped his soul in a comfortable hug.

“The last series was great; people went insane with it.” His ear was invaded by a male voice. Liam smiled at the talking man, who held his phone between his head and shoulder while handing Liam a stack of books to arrange in the romantic section. Liam laughed as his friend shouted in delight when he finished the phone call. “They have finally agreed!”

“Told you!” He walked away from him and into the romantic section. His friend had finally gotten the deal to be the exclusive vendor for one of South Korea’s largest publishing houses. Si-won, his friend, jumped happily and took a set of other books to a different aisle.

His bookstore became even more successful after he purchased it from his grandfather; their family had worked in the field for decades, as authors, publishers, or bookstore owners.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Si-won got a great deal in the bookstore when he traded his grandfather, who wanted to retire, for sole ownership. His grandfather agreed to grant him a license to use his famous and trademarked bookstore name, but only for the purpose of furthering his own success. He created a legal agreement with the help of Liam’s law firm.

It was a three-story modern building across from Hakrim Café and several fancy restaurants. The interior was decorated in pastel green and light brown tones. It has a warm ambiance and vintage architecture. Book sections are led by a classic stone wall tunnel but with thousands of books and slim lines of lighting instead.

When Liam’s phone rang, he quietly picked it up and went outside to answer it. The air was filled with the scent of flowers, so he took a deep breath and answered the phone with a quick sigh. As he began to speak, he looked around. Laughter and giggling at the end of the street drew his attention. A group of friends was walking towards the café across the street.

The last one had a big smile on her face and a large bag full of art supplies. Liam found himself smiling as they walked inside. He turned around and resumed his phone call. “We have everything to prove to them innocent. You must take this one,” Liam stated firmly.

The girl went out of the café with a drawing sketch and a cup of coffee in her hand. She sat on the right bench, directly across from the café’s entrance. She set the cup on the small table next to her, put on a song, and began drawing. She gave a glance across the street at Liam, who was standing across the bookstore’s glass wall. She hummed as she gazed out at the view. Beotkkot trees surrounded the bookstore.

As she drew in her sketch, her eyes scanned the scene, including Liam, who was still not facing her. His watch drew her attention; it was a one-of-a-kind piece with a dark silver case, a light silver bezel, navy blue hour markers, and a deep black strap.
