Eyes opening, Christine felt pain as she woke up. She twisted her head back to look at herself and winced in pain as she did so. Looking at herself she saw dried blood on her back. Christine thought about last night ‘I don’t think I’m seriously injured even though I was clawed up pretty nastilly. Although, I’m lucky that nothing snuck up on me after I fell unconscious.’ Christine slowly stood while feeling dizzy, it occurred to her that she could be suffering from blood loss. She decided that despite being hurt she would start heading back to her log to get away from the town and therefore the being that had shot arrows at her. She started walking back, normally she would go at the pace of a jog but she wasn’t sure she could sustain a jog for long due to her wounds. After walking all day, night started to fall and she still had not reached her den but as she wondered what to do, she smelled water. This normally wouldn't matter for she had come across a couple streams on her way to the village and back but this water smelled different, slightly more stagnant. Hope rose up as she realized what this could be and started to run to the source of the smell, to her joy she saw the familiar pond where she had killed the tapir-boar. She was almost home.
Christine happily squawked but at the same time knew that she wouldn’t be able to get home before it got fully dark. She knew she had two options, to find a place to sleep nearby or travel home in the dark. The same decision she had to make the previous night. She decided that tonight unlike the last, she would travel home in the dark. Christine soon reached the log and tiredly curled up before falling asleep.
Hours after the sun rose Christine came out of her den. She quickly got a drink from the nearby stream before going hunting. She was hungry so she really hoped to have a good hunt. Christine, after arriving at a place where rabbits often were, did the only thing she could and that was to wait for rabbits to show up. She waited for half an hour before a single regular rabbit came to eat, she quickly killed it but realized it took a while to catch enough rabbits to fill herself, today it was taking even longer than usual. Christine decided to just keep on hunting these rabbits. It was only by the time the sun fell that she had enough to eat that day unlike most days when it took much less time. She went back to the log and slept through the night.

Christine soon made it to the stream for her daily practice of getting a morning drink and as she did this, thought about hunting. She wondered whether she should keep hunting rabbits or go for something bigger today. She knew that she could live off of rabbits but hunting bigger animals could save time but it would also be more dangerous. Deep down she also wanted the second option because hunting bigger animals was more exciting. Christine quickly made the decision to try to hunt a bigger animal. After deciding this, Christine thought “What animal should I go for? The only big animals I know of around here that I am able to hunt are the tapir-boars and deer. Even though those are just the ones I have found, there are probably more kinds. I think going to the pond to look for tapir-boars would be the best idea but if I can’t find any I’ll look for deer.” Christine soon made it to the pond but as she traveled around it, she didn’t find any tapir-boars so she went hunting for deer. Christine stalked through the forest but it wasn’t until late afternoon she found deer.
Christine had been walking through the woods when she saw movement through the trees. She had immediately slowed down and snuck towards the movement. To her delight she saw it was a deer and knew it was time to hunt. Christine knew that she had to make this chance count for she didn’t know when she would get another chance. When she felt she was close enough to attack, that's what she did. She sped towards the deer, abandoning all stealth. The deer quickly fled but it only made it a short distance before Christine was able to catch up. Christine tore at one of the deer’s back legs. The deer, being slowed down, could not escape the raptor. Christine ripped through its neck with her jaws. It fell to the ground and Christine quickly started eating the delicious flesh. After eating all she could eat from the corpse, she slowly walked back to her home, climbed in, and fell asleep
