Christine watched a rabbit run off for the third time in a row. She hissed in a combination of annoyance and anger at losing another rabbit.
Christine had found a spring nearby, that was a good source of water to live on but she couldn't get food. She had tried to sneak up on rabbits she had spotted but always failed miserably, every single rabbit realized something was wrong while she was sneaking up on them. Christine decided to keep a look out for berries, she wasn’t sure if raptors could eat berries but she wasn’t having good luck with the rabbits she had found so far so she figured she should try to go for other sources of food as well.
While looking for food Christine found another rabbit nibbling on some twigs, she luckily was able to hide without it noticing her. She quickly noticed this one was different from the other three she had seen. It was roughly three times the size of the other rabbits she had seen and appeared beefier than the others as well. The biggest difference of this rabbit than the others was a single short but sharp looking horn sticking from its forehead. Christine inhales in shock at the sight of the odd creature. ‘What is that?’ Christine thought in surprise, ‘What is this place for it to have this kind of animal.’ Christine gets over her shock quickly and though still a little surprised by such a strange creature she realizes that she should probably try to catch it for food. Christine snuck closer to the rabbit-like creature when it suddenly raised its head to look around. Christine stopped in place, keeping still as possible in hopes it wouldn’t notice her but all the sudden it bolted in the opposite direction of her. Christine lept from her hiding place and ran as fast as she could after the horned rabbit. The distance between her and the rabbit was widening when out of nowhere the odd looking rabbit tripped. It was back on its feet in a second but that second gave Christine the time she needed, the rabbit had just started running again when she closed her jaws on the creature with her teeth sinking into the horned rabbit's flesh.

She shrieked with joy and thought happily 'I've done it, I finally caught a rabbit,' she stopped her joyous shrieks and considered, 'well I caught something similar to a rabbit, a uni-horned rabbit I guess is what it is, although this doesn't seem too different from a normal rabbit.' Christine was hungry and she figured since she was a raptor raw meat wouldn't hurt her. While she knew fire starting basics she didn't think she would be very good at starting a fire so she decided to eat the rabbit meat raw. Christine ate a small amount of the rabbit’s meat to test it. She thought it tasted delicious so she quickly devoured the rest of the rabbit meat. Christine chirped happily as dripping blood marked her mouth red. ‘I can chirp,’ she realized with surprise.
Thinking about food she then narrowed her eyes and thought ‘I need to get better at finding food though, catching this rabbit mostly luck. It does seem to be getting darker however so I should probably find a place to rest for the night and focus more on getting food tomorrow.’ Christine after only looking for a short time found a large fallen log that had a hole under it. The hole wasn’t a good place to hide due to the shallowness of the hole and large opening it had but the log could be a good place to shelter from the elements for the night so Christine decided to rest there. She crawled into the hole and curled up, tired from chasing rabbits she fell asleep in just a few minutes.
