Christine woke up to her stomach grumbling. Christine sleepily rolled over onto a stick, she yelped in pain and attempted to stand up but hit her head on log overhead and yelped again. Confused on where she was she frantically looked around before remembering the previous day. ‘I remember, I’m somehow a raptor now and I killed that big rabbit with the horn,’ she thought, slightly glum.
It was only then Christine realized something had changed about herself since last night. Her sense of smell and hearing appeared to be stronger than they were the day before. She heard her heart thumping and the smell of the musty log overhead smelled stronger than it had when she fell asleep. Christine wondered ‘It’s obvious that my senses of hearing and smell being stronger have something to do with my species being changed but I was a raptor yesterday and my senses weren’t this powerful then. I wonder why my smell and hearing changed today and not yesterday.’
It was while pondering this stomach grumbled again. ‘While my senses are interesting I need to find food, I guess I need to drink some water as well but that won’t be as hard to find since I know where that spring is,’ she thought. Christine crept from her temporary shelter into the light of the rising sun. Christine, deciding to get some water, went back to the spring and drank from the cleanest looking part of it, she was unsure whether she, being a raptor, would get sick from it but she decided it would be better safe than sorry. After she finished drinking she decided to see if she could find any animal tracks in the mud around the spring. After a little searching Christine unsurprisingly found what looked like normal rabbit tracks as well as larger than usual rabbit tracks. She figured the bigger rabbit tracks belonged to uni-horned rabbits. Christine also found raccoon and deer tracks, she found what looked like cat tracks which worried her because a wild cat might fight her and could seriously hurt her. She decided to try to take advantage of her heightened senses and smelled around the area but while she smelled what she suspected were animals she couldn’t tell the differences of the specific types. Christine realized that she should have predicted this due to not having learned the specific animal scents before.

She decided to try to catch rabbits or uni-horned rabbits, she traveled to the general area where she had caught the uni-horned rabbit the previous day in hope of hunting more rabbits to eat. Christine looked for rabbits as stealthily as she could while creeping through the forest. The first animal she saw was a uni-horned rabbit which was a little surprising to her since from what she had seen the day before it appeared regular rabbits were more common than uni-horned rabbits. ‘It doesn’t matter either way though,’ Christine thought, ‘I’ll hunt either of the rabbit species.’ Christine snuck through the greenery without it noticing her and when she felt she was close enough she sped towards the rabbit without regards to stealth. The rabbit realizing its peril ran but didn’t run quick enough because Christine bit into the rabbit, quickly killing it. Happy that she had caught a rabbit so quickly she chirped cheerfully and then hungrily ate the rabbit. She made sure to do her best to memorize the smell of it in hopes of being able to hunt rabbits better.
Christine then went hunting for more rabbits and managed to kill two regular rabbits although three others got away, she didn’t manage to find any more uni-horned rabbits though. Christine wanted to explore as well in hopes of food went farther than she had been before.
She encountered a meadow but what was more interesting was the four deer eating the tall grass in the meadow. Christine briefly thought about hunting one but quickly dismissed the idea for the time because she wasn’t sure she could bring one down. She decided to watch them for a while just to admire the beauty of nature. After a few minutes the deer bounded off.
It was still a while before the sun set so Christine decided to wander a while longer and then head back to her temporary log housing when it started to get dark. Soon enough she started heading back and stopped at the meadow to see if any deer were there but couldn’t see any. Christine was about to leave when she spotted movement through the trees, she peered at where the movement was when something lumbered out from the trees into the meadow. It appeared to be a bear with an owl-like face. Fortunately for Christine she was hidden in the trees when the bear-like beast appeared. Terrified, she snuck away as fast as she could, making as little noise as possible. Christine finally reached her log but when she finally fell asleep she slept lightly that night.
