Virbank Complex

Action: Alright this is the final chapter for this arc.

Kaiser: Interesting, What will happen now?

Ignis: Remember I asked for help. *Scoffs*

L’Ark: I think Kaiser was talking about the direction of the book.

Action: We will use the original arc two as arc three now.

Silver: I’m confused.

Kaiser: Looking at the new script you changed a few scenes.

Action: Correct, since certain things already happened.

L’Ark: Alright. *sighs*

Silver: Action doesn’t own Pokemon, music links, and art if used.

~Silver’s~

(A Funeral of Flowers (Thunder) - FE 3H)

“We told you to stay in your room,” I was being scolded for not obeying my father. We were in the break room at PokeStar Studios. Last night someone got photos of Ignis and me together and us going to Roxie’s concert.

“Honey look at these comments,” my mother was scrolling through the comment section of the article. “Did Ignis find a lover? Finally hitting his teen rebellion phase. The Princeton family isn’t the royalty we think,” my mother read the last comment with fear in her voice. I stood there calmly expressionless. That’s what I was raised to do: stay silent unless spoken to. When in public, they look fierce and cold and always answer with vague answers.

“Who is this guy?” I was questioned by my father.

“He is a guy from a rival team,” I answered him. “While being a part of a battle academy I was promised no press and popularity from the family when it came to modeling and movies,” I reminded both my parents. My father wasn’t happy with that reminder. I’m not allowed to leave my team until we obtain Master rank but since I’m still a dependent child my parents were able to put in my contract I’m allowed a leave of absence for a period to handle modeling gigs or filming. Of course, this also applies to previews and other public appearances. Also while being a part of the academy I gained my popularity and none of it is tied to the shame of a family.

“If he is from a rival team why are you with him,” my mother asked. She was previously a part of the battle academy in her youth so she understands more than my dad.

“We met when passing through Mistralton our trainers knew each other and set us up to train together for a day,” I explained. They don’t need the whole story. When I first met Ignis a few weeks back I was intrigued that someone our age could not care so much and wanted to probe and tease him a bit. See a smile and joke with him. My dream is to bring a smile to an audience with my fierce battles. Not through the power of my family's influence.

“He’s not a boyfriend of yours?” My father's voice is full of authority. His menacing glare. Genuinely I can’t stand him, a man who married into this family and transformed it into an icon for money instead of making promising fighters like my mother's ancestor used to.

“As if,” I scoffed. “He wishes he could have me and I know I must be an incubus of the modeling world for all thirsty young adults especially for when I evolve,” I was irritated. The thing about being an incubus my father has said since I was five. The reason my name is Silver is because when I was born he saw I was shiny and knew a shiny ninetales would wow anyone who crossed them. He sees me as a money maker and I hate it. Only my mother and I are Shiny ninetales, everyone else is a normal ninetales.

“As long as you know your purpose,” my father sighed.

“Whatever, are we done here? I made my way toward the door.

“Sweety, we only want what’s best for you,” my mother said.

“You sold out,” I said to her and left. I need to be on the next flight to Hoenn. I need to train with my team so we can take down the Headmaster.

~L’Ark’s~

(Lightning's Theme - FFXIII)

When we walked behind the building we didn’t see Ignis.

“Where could he be?” I asked.

“Down below,” both Kaiser and I heard a voice. We looked over the railing and Ignis was below near the water. This town is weird as it is technically a port town so everything is directly above water. Maybe that’s the problem with the mining company as everything could be unstable.

“We’re coming,” Kaiser and I ran towards the stairs and joined him near the water. As we joined him he seemed a bit spooked which is a contrast to his everyday attitude. “What happened?” Kaiser went to his side concerned. The white fox looked as if he wanted to hug Ignis to calm him down but we both know Ignis isn’t the emotional type.

“I never thought I would be afraid of other Pokemon but it seems I’m learning more about myself lately,” Ignis never speaks with meaning behind his words. What is happening? My ears then twitched and I could hear footsteps and murmuring of a crowd. I then heard the flashing of cameras. It must be the paparazzi meaning the Princeton family is nearby. When I looked at Ignis he seemed fearful. Luckily for us, the crowd wasn’t coming our way but you could hear their string of questions.

“Who was that Vulpix with Silver? Is Silver rebelling against you? Is Silver Gay?” That’s all I could hear.

“Let’s just say I went out last night to Roxie’s concert. I ran into Silver there and after a few songs I ran out,” Ignis didn’t share the details of last night. Both Kaiser and I didn’t pry, we’re here to listen. He looked as if he was going to cry from fear but he didn’t shed a tear. “ When I was getting ready to leave, the hallway was filled with Pokemon. When I opened the door they bombarded me with questions about Silver and me. Many of them up in my personal space,” his tails dropped signifying he was scared remembering today’s experience. That’s when we noticed he started to shake. Both Kaiser and I ran over and hugged him.

“What happened next?” I whispered in a soothing voice. Both Kaiser and I tried to make him feel comfortable.

“I tried closing my door but some tried to keep it open. I managed to close the door but I could still hear them outside. I was scared and unsure what to do so I quickly jumped out my window,” Ignis’s shaking slowly calmed down. “I know this is stupid and something that shouldn’t scare me, but I’m not good in crowds, especially with Pokemon I don’t know. One thing I miss about my family is we would travel together and I would feel safe. I feel that same way with you guys,” Ignis hugged us back. I remember Kaiser talking to me about what happened on Mistralton Tower before they got attacked.

“We can be your family, I never had one before,” Kaiser suggested.

“That sounds nice,” Ignis agreed and I was happy about this too. Even with his tough and sarcastic exterior, he is like the rest of us wanting to belong.

‘You always wanted to belong, so you got your wish. When am I getting mine?’ it’s that damn shadow’s voice again. My fur stood up in response to his voice in my head. ‘No response this time. Alright, I’ll lie and wait,’ he sighed and the voice disappeared.

“You must be drained after this morning's events. Ark and I can handle anything that happens. You can rest in my room,” Kaiser said. He’s falling into the leader role and I can’t help but admire it.

“No, I want to come with you guys. I don’t want to be alone,” Ignis let go of our embrace. He looked scared but tried to get back to his normal act. “ You’ll need some backup if anything goes wrong,” he smirked. I shook my head.

“I think it would be better if we all stuck together,” I agreed with Ignis.

(Engage - FE Engage)

“If you say so,” Kaiser led us to the stairwell. “Our client is waiting for us, we should get going,” Both Ignis and I followed him as we made our way to the southern part of town. Nothing special to note as this is an oil mine. Looking around it doesn’t look like any of their drilling equipment is active. How is it affecting the Pokemon in town? While we walked in further none of the workers were on the dock near the ocean instead they were near the garden area and it was marked as restricted. That’s weird.

“This should be the director’s office,” Kaiser knocked on the door. You could hear some voices from inside before the door opened to reveal an old Excadrill.

“You must be the new miners I hired,” all of us were confused. Kaiser was about to correct him as he gave us helmets, a belt with many tools including rope, and pickaxes. “Make sure to check your hats before you go to the mine, you’ll know what to do,” He was about to close the door.

“Wait, we’re not-” Kaiser got cut off.

“I don’t have time for this. Do your job!” The old mole sounded irritated but I couldn’t help but think about what he was saying. The door was then slammed in our faces. “The nerve of that miner, we’re here to help him,” for once I saw Kaiser mad. His face flushed a bit red and his hat started to levitate.

“We should head to the mining area,” I placed my hand on Kaiser’s shoulder and he regained himself. I admire the fact that he’s trying to be a good leader makes me like him a bit more.

“You’re right,” we all walked down to the water, and to our surprise, no one was around. What is going on here?

I then remember the old mole said to check our hats. I flipped my hat upside down and inside it was a dot similar to an ORB. “Guys, I think I found something,” I pick it up and tap it. It reveals a recorded message. Hitting play the video started.

“Sorry I had to rush you out the door but we don’t have a lot of time. I’ll explain what has been going on for the last month. By accident one of our drills went off while in the garden and what we uncovered were empowerment seeds,” I gasped at the mention of the seeds.

“What?” Ignis asked.

“Empowerment seeds are known to awaken your true power if ingested and for some can help them mega evolve but it lasts for a short period,” I explained. “To think there is a deposit in Virbank,” I thought out loud.

“I’ll assume they taught you at the academy what an Empowerment seed is. Moving forward it wouldn’t have been a problem we just sold them and moved on but our boss told us to keep digging for them, one thing Pokemon don’t know is when in its pure form an aura exerts itself to the area which can cause a Pokemon to act similarly as the effects of ingesting it,” I didn’t know that.

“I understand now but why not reject his boss's orders?” Ignis asked.

“That’s because the boss sent us to watch this operation,” we all jumped when an unknown voice joined our conversation. We looked around and a Growlithe was stalking us but it wasn’t a normal one. I thought all Hisuian Pokemon were extinct, I guess not as Kaiser is living proof. “Didn’t mean to scare you. Actually, I did,” this Growlithe laughed at her joke.

“Tina don’t antagonize them. Let’s neutralize them,” It was a male voice, and coming from our left looked like a Ponyta but he wasn’t normal either. His fur was light blue and his mane looked like a cloud.

"We were supposed to wait for her order Avery," this voice came from our right and it was a Nidorina [https://img.wattpad.com/92841f614780037085a6afb6b425c6435eb37be2/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f7a5f62796730725a656a544138413d3d2d313430343134343239322e313739663336336436656236383065303335363637343733363937302e6a7067?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]

“We were supposed to wait for her order Avery,” this voice came from our right and it was a Nidorina. They had us surrounded.

“The Mole was working with you and we fell into his trap,” Ignis accused them.

“He was forced to comply as our boss is a very powerful man. I think introductions are in order,” The Growlithe smirked. “I’m Tina Evergold, the leader of Team: Majesty,” she stopped a few feet in front of us as if waiting to attack.

“I’m Avery Storms, the team's glass cannon,” he flipped his hair and chuckled.

“I’m Luna Hicks, the team's tactician,” she rolled her eyes. The three of them make Team: Majesty and I’m surprised they aren’t marked as a rogue team. That means they are issued to do this through a quest and that they have public data as a team. As much as I hate to admit it, what they are doing is considered legal under the right terms.

“To stop them from mining empowerment seeds we need to stop you three,” Kaiser deduced.

“You could say that,” Tina smirked again.

“Looks like it’s time for a scuffle,” Ignis said as we got into a defensive stance.

“I’ve been waiting for this,” Tina snarled. All hell broke loose in an instant as rocks appeared trapping the three of us together and a massive whirlwind trapped us. “Majesty Tactic: Majesty Blaze!” Tina herself was charging straight at us with what looked like the power of the sun colliding with us and forcing their tactic to explode with us in it. Everything around us was ringing and those three strong attacks hurt a ton. They had the offensive from the get-go and were just waiting. We all fell to the ground looking up at the three now standing in front of us.

“That was too easy and here I thought a storm would be brewing,” The stuck-up Ponyta noted.

“We attacked them almost instantly. They were at a disadvantage the whole time,” Luna stated.

“We’re here to complete our quest!” Kaiser growled and this was new. With him getting back on his feet a shadowy aura left his body and then trapped the three in front of us as they screamed. “Everyone get ready,” Kaiser commanded. Both Ignis and I got to our feet ready to continue this fight. I’ve never seen Kaiser use that move before, he’s not one to use offensive attacks. The aura that consumed our three opponents then disappeared and the three of them had ice on their body as if it was stuck to them. Is that the status known as Frostbite, I’ve only read it in books but to see the status is euphoric.

“That was a nice attack, now this fight will be interesting,” Tina cracked her neck and was ready for us to face off. We all split and broke off into individual fights and I ended up fighting the Nidorina. From my analysis she is slow and tanky meaning she likes to use strong attacks considering earlier she used Stone Edge. My best course of action is to use speedy strong attacks. She came for me with another attack, her fists covered in poison and I dodged and decided to dodge while dancing. Around me, swords started to appear and I will quickly wrap up this fight. I jumped back and braced my paws as I was about to release aura through them. Luna fell for my trap and as soon as her body connected with my paw I blasted her with Force Palm. I took my chance while she was sent sliding back and jumped up coating my feet with flames. I dropped-kicked her and that was enough to knock her over. When I walked over to her I saw she fainted from my Swords Dance combo to Force Palm and Blaze Kick. A boosted move with stab I’m surprised she withstood the initial attack. I looked over to my other teammates and they were knocked into each other thanks to their opponents. The two of them looked tired and their opponents looked ready to end the fight.

(Keeper of History (Frenzy) - FE Engage)A/N: L’Ark’s theme second version

“No!” I ran towards my friends to protect them. I didn’t realize I was being bathed in a White light as I rushed to their side. I rushed to their side and was able to bring them out of harm's way. “How was I able to do that?” When I put Kaiser and Ignis down I saw my paws and they had steel spikes on them. I evolved!

“You may have evolved but it is now a one-on-two,” Tina was confident. I turned to my two opponents, I was ready to protect my friends as that’s what teammates do.

‘Teammates, who needs them?’ the voice in my head scoffed. Tina was coming straight for me and this was my time to shine. I disappeared in the blink of an eye hitting Tina from all directions. I appeared behind her and I turned to see the damage and she fell to the ground with a thud. My next obstacle was the special Ponyta. He had a look of panic on his face.

“Not so confident now?” I walked towards the Ponyta and he was stumbling backwards. “We’ll defeat you, complete our quest, and tie you up,” I explained my plan to the scared pony. He didn’t have time to react as I picked him up and slammed him against the floor and disappeared to the naked eye again hitting him from all directions. When I appeared he was knocked out on the ground. Looking at the aftermath I took care of all of Team: Majesty single-handedly.

‘Reminds me of someone,’ the voice needs to stop. I growled in response. I then remember Kaiser and Ignis as I got to their side and they acknowledged me evolving from Riolu to Lucario.

“We should let our Client know the ones controlling the operation have been defeated,” Kaiser tried to recompose himself.

“You two do that, I will stay here and clean up this mess,” I said, pulling the rope from the equipment that was given to us earlier. We all nodded.

~Kaiser’s~

( XY Epic Episode Intro Outro Theme! - Speyere)

Today was something. We took care of the problem at the Virbank Complex and it turned out that they were acting weird thanks to the empowerment seed mining. Either way, we completed our quest and our reward was ten thousand poke each. I didn’t realize how much the man would give us but he was rather grateful for us taking his quest. I do wonder who sent the members of Team Majesty here to watch over this mining company. After finishing today's events we went back to the airport between Floccesy Ranch and Virbank City.

“Did you all enjoy the trip?” I wanted to get an understanding of my team. If quests are a thing we will do in the future. From the looks of everything it seemed like Ignis learned a bit about himself while here. Our connection as teammates has grown stronger too. I mean Ark evolved and he can only do that with high friendship.

“I did enjoy it. I feel bad I did run out on Silver last night,” Ignis sighed. He’s getting more comfortable around us, I’m glad. “If you tell him anything I will burn you,” he growled.

“There’s the normal bite I got used to,” We all laughed at Ark’s comment. I was hesitant at first about this team I was made to be the leader of but slowly we are warming up to each other. I’m looking forward to what other adventures we will have.
