~Kaiser’s~
(Victory is Right Before Your Eyes! - Alpha Remaster)A/N: Dexter’s theme second version
I looked around as if I was trapped in a jungle. Everywhere I looked was surrounded by lush trees, vines, and roots. How did he improve his illusions so much? The bushes around me started to rustle and multiple Shadow Balls were shot at me from different directions. Not wanting to dodge, I stand there letting the attack not even phase me.
“Did you forget I’m immune to ghost-type attacks,” I scoffed.
“No,” I heard a whisper from behind me. Instantly my eye flashed and I knew how to avoid this incoming attack. I ducked down as I saw Dexter’s claws glowing in an orange hue. I quickly retaliated as my claws and feet glowed white as I handspring up hitting Dexter with Aerial Ace. I was going to strike again coming back down to the ground from my attack but Dex countered first. Striking me in the stomach with Sucker Punch. Sending me tumbling back. I was able to slide back onto my feet and charged a ball of blue aura in my claws as big as I could and launched it back at Dexter. Charging up that much energy matted my fur and even cut me, opening up old wounds. It looked like my attack connected but when the smoke cleared I couldn't see Dexter anywhere. His Illusion is still up which means I must keep my guard up. Maybe I can cancel his illusion as I learned to conjure my illusions. I shake my head knowing in a situation like this it wouldn’t work as he has trained with Illusions as I practice more with Malice. That’s when the scenery around me instantly changed and I was on a cliffside and Dex was blitzing me with both his claws glowing orange.
“Focus on the match!” Dex was being forceful as I countered with Aerial Ace.
“I am, but I’m also thinking of strategies. Like this,” my eye flashes as I duck around and roundhouse kick him. “Agility tactic: Strike!” I shouted as some space was created between us.
“Nice so you have been studying while we’ve been on this trip,” Dex chuckled.
“Only because I hate losing to you,” I retorted.
“Fair enough, though too bad you’ll lose again,” His claws glowed purple as he slammed them against the ground, a purple wave of energy heading my way. Letting out a howl I think of all my rage as a shadow-like aura leaves my body heading to clash with Dexter’s previous attack. As I unleashed my power it was so much my fur started to blow in an upward spiral as my cuts were opened by my attack. This hurts a lot, I could see some of my fur turned red. Staining my white fur
“Both of you stop! This practice match is over!” We heard shouting from the sidelines and the illusion around us faded, returning to a typical battlefield that was indoors. However, it didn’t stop our two attacks from colliding. Causing a bit of an explosion. The culprit who stopped our fight was none other than Kenta.
(Area: Planet Wisp - Sonic Colors)
“The fight was getting interesting,” Dex complained.
“I agree, I felt amazing,” I chimed in.
“You may feel great now but look at your arms, covered in cuts and old cuts are open again,” I looked at my arms and legs and he was right.
“It’s a backlash of my power,” I shrug.
“We both know it means you’re using too much of it,” I got scolded by the Chinchilla. I flinched as I knew he was correct. I walked to the bench where I placed my medical tape and gauze for my arms and legs. I placed a bit of rubbing alcohol on the gauze and began wrapping the four appendages. Soon the other two joined me on the bench.
“Any leads in the library today?” Dex asked.
“Nothing, but we should find something at the summit of Mount Coronet,” Kenta sighed. Kenta has been looking for leads the whole time in Sinnoh on his clue for the Scavenger hunt. We ran into Kenta a few days after we landed in Lily pad town and thought it would be good for us to travel together. We’ve been to different parts of the region and nothing. No new clues or anything. We’re thinking maybe Mount Coronet might have something to do with our clues, it also helps that on the mountainside there is a nice resort so we plan to stay there as we explore. While we were here we also took care of some rogue teams and handled some requests sent out by other Pokemon as it feels good to do some good for others. Yet it’s been a month and we have no leads. We’re at the end of March basically. Ignis fell ill a few days back but Silver is looking after him. Though we have heard nothing from Gale and Ark which makes me worried, I know they can hold their own.
“We should get going,” Dex seemed to be full of energy.
“No! we’re going to let Kaiser rest before we head out,” Kenta countered, not happy.
“He’s all bandaged up and good to go,” Dex retorted.
“That doesn’t mean his wounds are healed,” Kenta continued to argue.
“Guys, we should all rest and head to Mount Coronet tomorrow,” I stopped their bickering. “It’s already pretty late and gives us time to grab anything if needed for tomorrow,” I sighed. They both calmed down and nodded. “I’m going to my room to rest, see you guys tomorrow,” I exit the battlefield and head to where the rooms are. It didn’t take long before I entered my room. I built up a sweat from training but I’ll shower tomorrow as we’ll be leaving Hearthome City in the morning. I decided to turn on the TV as background noise as it helps me sleep. I could never do something like this at the orphanage. Maybe I should send them a letter and a gift. Maybe something that would help Lil Gil pass the entrance exam. I decide to change into just some shorts as I lay down in bed looking like I just had surgery done on my arms and legs. Eventually, I close my eyes and fall asleep.

(Bloom Rondeau - Vanguard G)
All I can feel is the cold wind blowing against my fur. Why am I here again? Where am I? All I can see is flurries of snow. When I look around all I see is white, I can feel my feet crunch under the snow. Studying myself within this blizzard my fur is black. Why does this feel familiar aside from my dreams? It was hard for me to walk and I was shivering from the wind. I was moving around as if searching for someone.
“Dad!” I shouted as if I was in fear. After moving sensely within the snow I could sense someone's presence and see something moving in the distance. “Dad!” I started to run in the snow making out the figure to be another Zoroark.
“I’m sorry but you can’t come with me,” the figure in front of me turned around, and behind them was a white light. I don’t remember that from the other times I’ve had this dream.
“Dad, don't leave me!” I cried out as I ran to hug his legs. I felt something wrap around me in return but went away quickly.
“Look for your mother. She’ll keep you safe,” he said. Eventually, everything went white and then my father vanished. That’s when I fell over completely. I couldn’t move, as if my body was giving up.
“Dad, why?” I cried out. Snow eventually covered my body. That was when a set of white doors appeared before me. They opened revealing a swirling mix of purple and blue.
“A gift has been bestowed upon you, so you can escape this grim fate,” A deep voice came from the door. I was then bathed in a red light.
“You will one day return to this gate and the wish will be fulfilled,” a different voice came from the gate as everything around me went white and I couldn’t see anymore.
“Find us at the summit of Mount Coronet!” the voices shout.
I sprung awake in my bed and I could feel some of my fur was matted. “I was sweating in my sleep?” I was in shock. “I don’t think that was a nightmare, that was my memory. I then heard my ORB go off. I opened my ORB screen and saw my clue had been updated. “Go Where the region started, where two created, one fell, and where another ruled all three,” I read. After studying a bit on Sinnoh this clue must refer to Spear Pillar where the region is said to have started. I know the scavenger hunt is random but this almost feels like fate.
“For all of you who plan on traveling make sure to be on the lookout as Rouge Teams have been spotted recently throughout Sinnoh. Especially in the Mount Coronet area,” The tv caught my attention. We don’t get a break from our duty of being a part of the academy. Whatever the case I’ll make sure we make it to the summit safely. Looking at the bottom of the screen it was six in the morning. I almost slept for twelve hours. Getting out of bed I start getting ready for today's adventure. Before I showered I took off my bandages and looked at the wounds that healed. Sadly it doesn’t remove the stained color from my fur. Taking a shower a lot of the red color drains from my fur when I use my special shampoo, however, I have a lot of fur, especially above my head and I hate when it falls blocking me from seeing properly. After my shower, I blow dry my fur so it returns to its normal state. Looking at my arms there were scars from all the times I pushed past my limits and my power was too strong. Two prime examples were during the Junior Cup and yesterday's training, but I’ve known for a while my power can cause me pain. Back when we did our entrance exams. The main reason I wear bandages and wrap myself is to stop the bleeding from spreading when I go overboard.

“I need to stop doing that,” I sighed as I left the bathroom. The room wasn’t much of a mess and I’m glad since when I travel I pack lightly. I pack up my things into my two travel bags and head downstairs to the lobby. Kenta was already at a table all packed and waiting for Dexter and me.
(Area: Planet Wisp - Sonic Colors)
“Good Morning,” he seemed chipper. It put a smile on my face as I sat down beside him.
“Morning,” I responded. “Now we’re waiting on Dex,” Kenta deflated a bit at the mention of his name. “Do you not like him?” I was confused. They both have peppy attitudes and are friendly. I know Kenta is more bookworm but enjoys fun, unlike Dex who’s more of a wild child.
“It's not that I don’t like him,” he paused as if thinking. “I’m jealous of how the two of you interact. It's how I wish Reuben would act with me,” Kenta blushed. I then realized what he was alluding to. Also, Reuben would die saying he is straight.
“Wait, Dex and I don’t like each other like that,” I responded. “He’s a good friend of mine,” I said with my honest emotions.
“Oh, I thought there was something else between the two of you,” Kenta was now embarrassed. Why would he think that? Yeah the guys and open flirt but he’s only messing around.
“I mean at times it feels like we are more than friends but I don’t know what it means,” I admitted.
“I knew you were gay,” Kenta’s eyes lit up. “Sorry I was hoping I wasn’t the only gay guy in my group of friends,” Kenta looked ready to die from embarrassment.
“I wouldn’t call myself gay as I have had no sexual desires in my life, however, I do find men attractive. I can appreciate a body but their personality stands out more,” I admitted.
“You’d then be considered Asexual as well as Homoromantic,” Kenta explained. We continued our conversation and he went on to further explain how it’s been awkward between him and Reuben ever since they went with me to the orphanage. He’s been using Carter as a buffer but he is hoping that with their team traveling separately being apart is what they need.
“What are you two talking about?” A familiar Shiny Zoroark walked up to the table with his two bags.
“Catching up is all,” Kenta puffed his cheeks.
“Alright kiddo, should we get a move on? We’ll be traveling for a few hours” Dex chuckled.
“I’m not a kid,” Kenta pouted a bit.
“Sure,” he chuckled.
“Guys, we need to get going,” I sighed, getting up from the table and exiting the building. I saw the other two follow close behind. We have a long climb ahead of us and I don’t want to hear the two of them bicker.
----------------------------------------
I thought this would be an easy climb or at least peaceful but with these two behind me, I’m already exhausted. I tried to have a conversation with the two and it eventually turned into an argument halfway up the mountain. Good news: we made it to the ski resort.
“Can you two not be at each other's throats?” I scold both of them like an older sibling.
“Sorry,” they both say in unison. I asked Kenta to check us in as I look for an optimal way to reach Spear Pillar on my ORB.
“I plan to shred some slopes and visit the hot springs after. Care to join me?” I barely acknowledged Dex.
“Sorry, but I have other plans,” before I could say anything else Kenta came back.
“We’re all checked in and should be registered into our ORBs in what room we are in,” he explained.
“Cool, I’m going to drop off my things and go to Spear Pillar,” I finished mapping out my route.
“I’ll join you, I’d love to study the ancient runes there,” Kenta perked up.
“I’ll see you guys later then,” Dex sounded disappointed but I didn’t acknowledge it as all of us broke up heading into our rooms. When I got to mine it was the same size as the last room I stayed in just in a cabin-like style. I dropped off my things and returned to the cafe area of the Pokemon Center. It didn’t take long before Kenta rejoined me and we both left for the mountain peak.
“Why do you want to read the runes at the Sky Pillar?” I sparked conversation as we reached the tunnel.
“The rumors say they hold the secret to the power of Time and Space,” Kenta started to geek out. “Plus it’s part of my clue, I was to seek knowledge in the land where a god let his three sons run amok,” Kenta further explained as we went further into the caves. As we made our way further there were a lot of tunnels though some leading to dead ends. It seemed there were more tunnels than our maps registered. I guess someone was mining the area for something. It took us another two hours before we reached the top and the first thing I noticed was the cold chill. I was fine but one look at Kenta it seemed it was a bit too chilly for him.
(Bloom Rondeau - Vanguard G)
“Let’s take a look around,” I said and we split up. I decided to go further in. I wasn’t sure what to expect when coming here. No answer is just going to fall into my lap. I sigh as I study the imagery around these ruins. That’s when I noticed a triangle in the center. As I walked on it my surroundings changed to a completely white landscape.
“What the,” I tried to understand what was going on around me.
“Don’t worry I’m here with a message,” a deep voice was coming from all directions. Same as the voice from last night. I thought I was going crazy for a bit but could this be the voice of a legendary?
“What kind of message?” I was on guard, unsure of what was going on. Then an image played in my head. It was of a Zorua laying in the snow getting covered in it. The sight of it made my head hurt, my heart race, and my breathing changed.
“You want to know the truth of what happened to you?” This time a feminine voice talked but it was just as menacing. Two different types of legendaries!
“The reason why your memory is foggy, the reason why you grew up in an orphanage, the reason why you died!” The voices talked in tandem and it made the pain in my head grow. It did confirm one thing for me, it was true I did die.
“Let me fill in those gaps for you,” The male voice chimed in. The image started to play as if it was a video. It showed a Zorua living with two Zoroarks on the mountainside of Mount Coronet. It was a peaceful life with both the parents playing with the Zorua.
“That was me?” I asked in shock.
“Correct, that is you with your mom and dad. August Luna and Cherise Luna,” The female voice answered. I finally learned my mom’s name. At one point you can see my dad had a grim look as he packed his things and was walking out the door. I tried to follow but my mom held me back. It didn’t work as I was able to escape a few minutes after my father left. The area we went to I was very unsure of as it didn’t seem like anywhere on Mount Coronet but I ran into the blizzard and crossed a rope bridge.
“Kaiser! Kaiser, where are you,” A different feminine voice said. Is that the voice of my mother? I kept walking through till I could see my dad, it was hard to see him but I did my best. He saw me but kept walking away. A bright light then appeared and the next thing I knew my father was gone. I eventually fell over in the snow letting the blizzard overpower me. I look as if I accepted death.
“Now that you know how you ended up in the blizzard,” the male voice chimed in.
“What happened afterward? How did I end up like this?” my voice started to crack as I wanted to know more.
“I’m not allowed to share until all requirements are met,” that’s when the image disappeared and I was left alone that’s when the area around me turned to normal. That’s all I get. I then saw a change in my ORB screen, I looked at my clue.
‘Clue fragment one of three done waiting on teammates to complete other fragments’ the automated voice said before my screen disappeared.
No one could survive that blizzard so that means everyone died. Why was I the lucky one to be reborn? I didn’t notice but dark-like energy started to swarm around me. Why did I run after him? If I didn’t I would at least have my mother. I started to pant as all these thoughts were becoming overwhelming.
“Kaiser?” I felt a hand on my shoulder but in response, I screamed out as if in pain. I don’t know. I don’t understand. I want answers.
“You can have answers, travel to the Crystal Gardens,” It was the voice of my mother.
“Crystal Gardens,” I whisper as I feel my body go limp.

~Kenta’s~
(Towards a Dream(Piano version) - Persona 5 Scramble)A/N: Arc 4 ending theme.
As I was exploring the Pillar I could see shadow-like energy flowing throughout the area. I decided to take a few pictures for my Flight account. I try to take pictures every time I travel as many follow me for pictures of the sights and good places to visit. My following has grown substantially since I first got the app to two hundred thousand followers. I need to focus, so I turn off my ORB screen. “What would cause this?” I was intrigued as I had never seen such a thing before. “Kaiser, are you seeing this?” There was no response. I decided to look around for him to make sure nothing bad happened. As I looked around I noticed the aura was coming from Kaiser. He was standing still on a sigil. Is he okay? I ran towards him and he didn’t flinch as I was approaching him.
“Kaiser?” I called out but no response. As I got closer I continued to call his name but to no avail. He didn’t move either and I was getting worried. I then reached out touching his shoulder “Kaiser?” Instantly he screamed out as if in pain and a wave of shadow poured out from him in every direction. It was strong enough to send me back into one of the pillars. It hurt, but I was more focused on Kaiser. What’s going on? What happened? I looked around and the whole area was cloaked in shadow. Then the landscape changed to that of a blizzard. I could see a zorua covered in snow and Kaiser’s howls of pain were still audible. Is this an illusion? He never really used illusions. The Zorua looked as if it was struggling to cling to life. Is this Kaiser?
The illusion ended as quickly as it started and Kaiser’s screams of pain slowly subsided as he fell flat on the ground. “Kaiser!” I shouted as I ran to his side. I could see he was still breathing meaning he only fainted.
“Crystal Gardens” He whispered in his state. I have to bring him back to the resort. I decided to lift him on my back and struggled as he was a dead weight. As I struggled to make it back to the exit I could see someone flying our way.
“Please not now,” hopefully they are friendly.
