Action: Welcome back. Would it be funny of me to say we’re already halfway through Arc 2? Like once you finish the chapter.
Kenta: How is that possible?
Kaiser: In reality, this arc was never supposed to exist.
Cater: Then why bother?
Action: I needed a bridge between now and the time skip.
L’Ark: That and Action is really focussing on character development.
Reuben: Can we get on with it?
Sea: Action doesn’t own Pokemon, music links, and art if used.

~Kaiser’s~
(BW Title Screen - T/B/T SimPlayer)
“Attack me when you’re ready,” A chill blew, and you could tell it was coming from Headmaster Ice.
“We should think of a plan,” Ark started talking, and we both saw Ignis charge toward Headmaster Ice.
“We’ll wipe the floor with you!” Ignis Screamed. He then unleashed a Heat Wave through the battlefield aimed towards Headmaster Ice. What’s surprising is I still felt chilly even with his Heat Wave.
“You fool,” Ark instantly shouted. “Kaiser, blast the Headmaster,” I was confused but listened. Ark blasted his aura while I blasted Shadow Ball. That’s when I noticed a giant shard of Ice blocked all three of our attacks. When did that get there? I then noticed a bunch of Ice shards floating around us.
“This is Glaciate,” I was surprised.
“Just as I thought. This isn’t even the Headmaster’s strongest move, but if the three of us can barely break one ice shard, we’re in trouble,” Ark analyzed. He was right. The ice crashed into us all. After the attack, we all slid back, and I noticed some ice stuck to our bodies. Great, our speed got lowered.
“Alright, everyone, on my mark,” I took on my role as leader. “Ignis, Let your flames rise,” I started to run towards Kyurem while balls of fire followed behind me.
“You don’t have to tell me twice,” Ignis was full of joy as he caused a massive Heat Wave and unleashed Flamethrower at Ice. “Ark, your turn, find your flame,” I said it like that as I figured out he knew Blaze Kick. All he did was chuckle as he jumped up with his foot covered in fire directly toward Headmaster Ice. “All-Out-Attack: Fire Force,” a basic tactic I learned while studying in the library.
“You’ll need to work faster if you want to beat me,” the chilly-like aura instantly disappeared as I saw something red go in the Headmaster’s tail. He got cloaked in flames, and his form changed to one similar to the legendary Reshiram. Not only that, but a giant ball of fire charged above us and then was unleashed down at the three of us. Our attacks clashed, and we succeeded in breaking through the attack, but the explosion from the attacks collided and blew the three of us back.
“How are his attacks this strong?” Ignis was annoyed.
“We have to do what we can; otherwise, we won’t get anywhere,” Ark said, landing beside me.
“Keep your calm. We can still do this,” We got prepared for our next attack. I then noticed the weird wires on his back that led to his tail.
“Ahh, that feels better.” Headmaster Ice cracked his neck and shook his arms. “Now, to unleash my full power.” His voice was more profound than normal, which sparked a few red flags. If connecting his wires unleashes his full power, we’re in trouble. “Sorry to cut your exam short, but you failed this time,” Headmaster Ice was nonchalant.
“What!” The three of us shouted. That’s when we noticed the Headmaster got cloaked in a violet sphere of energy surrounding him as yellow flames formed in front of its body.
“Team: Ragnarok, you fail,” Headmaster Ice said. Bolts of yellow flames shot everywhere, followed by ice in its tracks. There was no escape from this attack, as we all got caught in it. In the aftermath, we all crawled up to our feet, and the Headmaster had reverted to normal.
(Bloom Rondeau - Vanguard G)A/N: Kaiser’s theme second version
He walked up to the three of us. “You will be allowed to challenge me two times a year,” he said, looming down on the three of us with his normal scowl. “If you’re smart, you will train with Drayden on Team: Basic. This is a team fight, after all,” Kyurem then looked directly at me. “Do you notice the difference between you and Team: Basic?” Kyruem asked, and I felt the wind blow through the stadium. I thought about it after our match in the PWT. They fought with great teamwork. That’s why we had to separate them at the beginning of the fight. However, we failed to keep them apart in the end. They were able to come up with a plan quickly to counter us, as we did use advanced tactics. They were powerhouse moves, not elaborate or quick like Kenta.
“They work better as a team than individuals,” I answered.
“Correct, very insightful,” the Headmaster praised me.
“We did that on purpose,” we noticed Drayden walking towards us. “We purposely trained the two teams in separate aspects to see the results, and for once, I was proven wrong,” Drayden sighed. He was expecting Team: Basic to win thanks to their teamwork.
“Whatever the case, train because you won’t beat me otherwise. Whenever you want to challenge me, issue a challenge through your ORB officially,” our headmaster then disappeared into the main building. Drayden joined him, leaving the three of us here. We all just stood there in silence, not sure what to do.
“What do you plan on doing?” Ark broke the silence. Ignis looked at us, upset as if he had many thoughts running through his head.
“I’m going out! I need a shower first!” Ignis stormed out of the building toward the elevator. I could sense his malice. What was he planning to do?
“Kaiser?” Ark looked hopeful, but I'm unsure what he hoped for. After this failure, I needed time to understand it all. “If you want, we could hang out and go into town,” I offered. It felt like the right thing to do.
“That sounds like a nice way to cool off,” Ark smiled. I then could see some malice pour off him as well. What are both my teammates thinking about? “I’ll meet you at the park bench in about two hours,” Ark wore a smile, but I did not believe it could reach his eyes with the light aura of malice around him. I decided I didn’t want to go to our room yet, plus my things were still in the locker room, so I decided to shower there. When I entered the locker room and started to get out of my bandages and clothes, my ORB buzzed, showing I got a message. It was from Sea Breeze.
‘Care to meet me at the park. I want to know how it went in Driftveil City.’ I read the message and thought about it. I remember when we were at Celestial Tower, there were graves for Ignis’s family. Including his name, but he’s very much alive. I accepted the invitation without a second thought and walked into the shower. Turning the water on so it could warm up. Reflecting on today’s fight and how the future may go. We may be stuck fighting the Headmaster for a while. That was the quickest fight I’ve been a part of, and we barely got to show our skills. We also got to see what teams compete in the Crystal League. They are something else. I stuck out my hand, and the water was at the right temperature. It felt relaxing to feel the water against my fur. It felt like all my problems had melted away. I can’t think like that. As a team leader, I need to think of a way for us to get better. Our fight barely lasted two minutes. Ignis just rushed off, and we had to cover him for his mistake. We should be able to coordinate even with one teammate running loose, and we should be able to turn a situation from bad to good. The water on my fur started to feel cold. I decided to lean against the tile wall, and to my surprise, it was warmer. Why was my breathing starting to get out of control? That’s when it hit me: my vision was getting blurry. I didn’t overthink that much; this couldn’t be happening.
“Not . . . again,” I breathed between pants. I need to calm down. I turned off the water and started to fall to my knees. I closed my eyes and started to focus on the things around me. My fur was wet and matted from the water of the shower. The tile floor and wall were now warm from my hot shower and the dizziness I felt in my head. I opened my eyes, and my vision became clearer. I put a hand against my chest and felt my pulse return to normal. I think it is time for me to change. I left the shower stall and returned to my things. It didn’t take long for me to dry my fur and change into something comfortable for my little session with Sea before I go out with Ark. Maybe I should invite Ignis with us, too? To promote team bonding. After Reuben and his team went to Castelia City, they returned with a stronger bond, one made of complete trust. As much as I want to think my team has a strong foundation of trust, there are secrets we aren’t sharing. I’m holding a secret that I haven’t shared either. Even if we had each other’s trust, we’re missing something.

“I’ve been waiting,” The light blue vulpine got up from the bench and met me halfway. He had an annoyed expression, and I smiled . . . awkwardly.
“I’m sorry. I had an accident in the shower,” I wasn’t lying. This sparked Sea’s interest.
“Ooo, was someone thinking naughty thoughts in the shower?” he smirked, trying to tease me.
“I would never!” It was true, but I still blushed at his accusation. “You’re blushing! Were you thinking of that cute Riolu teammate of yours? Or is it the leader of Team Fusion,” he teased me further.
“I-I don’t think of either of those two like that! Ark is really nice and patient with me. While Dex has an exciting and funny personality,” I instantly defended.
“I never asked you to tell me why you like them,” Sea then laughed, and it looked as if a wealthy noblewoman was laughing on TV. I didn’t take Sea to be the delicate, rich type. “Though that’s not why I got you to meet me here,” his face turned serious, and the wind blew. It caused our fur to be caught in the wind, and Sea looked so pretty with his six tails blowing in the wind. “I’m here to challenge you to a fight. Maybe then you’ll learn a thing or two,” I wasn’t sure what he was talking about.
(Bloom in the breeze - FE Engage)
He pulled up his ORB screen and issued me a challenge. What was weird was that I noticed under his name that it showed he wasn’t a part of a team. Only those who have successfully passed the entrance exam at an academy will be given an ORB.
“I accept,” once I accepted his challenge, a timer appeared before us, counting down.
‘I, the ORB system, will be the referee for this match,’ the automated voice announced. It was weird that it showed our names and data on the side, like augmented reality. I went to stick my hand through it, but it wasn’t like touching an ORB screen. ‘3 . . 2 . . 1 Battle Begin,’ The wind started to blow as a pink mist flowed out from Sea’s paws, making the area and the terrain all misty and pink. It was now hard for me to see where Sea was. I then saw pretty colors coming my way from my left side. That was Aurora Beam. I quickly retaliate by cloning myself. The attack missed the real me, and now it’s my turn to be on offense.
“After seeing your matches in the PWT, I realized something about you,” Why is he talking?
“What would that be?” My voice echoed through my clones as balls of flames appeared around me, and my clones prepared to hit Sea.
“You don’t understand the full extent of your power. There is one move you’re unwilling to use,” How would Sea know of that move? Don’t hesitate now! I launched my Will-O-Wisp at him, and he jumped up, dodging the attack. Not good. “If you are not willing to use all your power, how will you, as a team leader, be able to lead your team to success? His tails glowed as he rose, shimmering in the now orange sky. Though not proud, I took my chance to think of a plan. My stats from my special attack were then raised by two.
“If you want me to use my full power, hit me I’ll show you why I’m scared,” I then braced myself.
“I want to see Kaiser at his full strength!” Sea Showed as a white ball launched me, similar to the moon. I took the attack head-on as I could feel my power grow. The attack pushed me back, and I took a fair amount of damage, but I felt amazing then. My head floof dripped down, covering one of my eyes as a shadowy purple aura left my body. They disappeared.
“You will regret asking me that,” my voice was plain and boring. This reminds me of when I was in the orphanage before other Pokemon looked up to me. I was cold and always studying and doing things based on calculations to understand what happened to me. Until I met Reuben, and he showed me that not everything is predictable, I became proper and pleasant to those around me. Funny as it may, it is true.
When Sea landed, he was consumed by a shadowy aura. It gave off a terrible wind chill, blowing away his previously set up Misty Terrain. I could hear his screams from being trapped in my prison, otherwise known as Bitter Malice. “Sea, are you okay!” I shouted, instantly regretting my last attack. This is why I can’t unleash my true power; it hurts everyone. The only other Pokemon who can handle my attack is Reuben if he puffs up a shield of his wool.
“I’m fine!” he shouted back. The purple shadows disappeared, and then I noticed he had extra ice shards hanging from his fur—the added effect of Frostbite. Even ice types can be affected by it. “You need to stop holding this power back. You could have easily taken care of Team: Basic in the tournament with an attack like that,” Sea then. unleashed a dark blast of energy from his mouth. I then made balls of flame to counter the attack, but the Dark Puse broke through, knocking me off my feet. I then noticed Sea drop to his front paws as he got affected by the Frostbite. “Don’t underestimate an opponent. Always show them your best no matter the case!” Sea shouted. “ You’ll never know when it will be your last chance,” he grunted in his last sentence. Now’s my chance. I realized the shadow aura went into the air again, then consumed Sea. He didn’t fight it and didn’t let out a scream.
‘Winner, Kaiser Luna’ the automated voice scared me. I shook my head and then ran towards Sea.
“Are you okay?” I asked, scared as he lay on the stone pathway.
“I’m fine, but for once, I feel cold,” he joked. I took him to the Pokemon center, where Nurse Joy could ensure he recovered adequately over the next few hours. She reassured me he was exhausted from our battle. That made me feel better. I would feel bad if my attack was too much for him to handle. Though he is right, I have been holding back. I can’t improve my team without working at full strength.

~L’Ark’s~
(Tokoha's Fight - Vanguard G)
I met up initially with Kaiser in the park and made some small talk. I wanted to see if he felt our failure was his fault, but he seemed oddly optimistic about our failure today. However, he did seem to feel bad about something else. He pulled up his ORB screen. It looked as if he had planned a training regime. I looked it over, and it looked as if it was suited to each of our specialties. However, I don’t know Kaiser’s specialty as he hasn’t used a move out of the ordinary compared to Ignis and me.
“This is a training idea for us to grow as a team. I came up with it an hour ago,” Kaiser seemed proud of himself, and I was too. I didn’t realize he paid that much attention to our needs. I mean, we need to do our training sessions since we are no longer ‘newbies,’ as Iris put it.
“I brought you out to take your mind off training, but since you are full of energy. Why not bring Ignis into the conversation?” I suggested, and Kaiser’s face lit up with a smile. He quickly changed his ORB screen to an audio call to Ignis. When he answered, he sounded annoyed.
“What do you need,” a light growl escaped his lips.
“No need to be hostile. I wanted to talk about something as a team,” Kaiser responded, and you could hear Ignis groan at the word team.
“Fine, whatever,” he scoffed. “Give me ten minutes, and I’ll be there,” Kaiser puffed his chest triumphantly at Ignis’s response. “Though you owe me some ice cream,” Ignis didn’t give us time to respond as he hung up after that. We both kind of deflated. One thing about Ignis is he needs a bribe to do anything. His vulgar attitude doesn’t help him either. That’s his defense to be rude, so those around him leave. We have to stick around. We are his teammates, after all. It would seem we all have our issues. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous of Team: Basic Little Adventure before the tournament because they came back stronger as a group.
“What are you thinking about?” Kaiser got me out of my thoughts.
“Us as a team,” I smiled. “However, you look adorable right now,” I deflected the attention back at him, and he blushed, unsure what to say next.
“Don’t say random things like that,” he whined. Kaiser looks so cute when he’s flustered.
‘Or you just like seeing him struggle. Like those who you encountered before. You know, before you brought them to the brink of death,’ the dark voice was back. He needs to chill out and disappear. He no longer controls you.
“I wouldn’t say it if it weren’t true,” I cooed.
“I would not have come out here if I knew it was a romantic picnic for two,” Ignis’s sarcastic tone broke us out of our daze. Kaiser cleared his throat as he prepared to present Ignis with what he had shown me earlier. He showed him all the training and group sessions we should do.
( XY Epic Episode Intro Outro Theme! - Speyere)
“There’s one last thing I wanted to share,” Kaiser then changed his ORB screen. It turned to a request board and showed he had Super rank. “This is the request board for teams to take care of rogue teams or other things posted by Pokemon worldwide,” Kaiser explained. “We cannot travel to other regions yet, but we can do quests across Unova,” Kaiser explained.
“That’s awesome!” Ignis seemed excited now.
“I agree it gives more practical training and experience as fighters,” I agreed.
“I thought so as well.” Kaiser smiled. “ I picked three quests I thought would be good for us to start with,” he expanded the screen, and they were three very different quests. The first was a hiker who lost his backpack in Twist Mountain. The second is Nimbasa City hosting a parade and hiring security. The last one stood out to me. The Virbank Complex workers are acting weird, and their work has been disrupting the Pokemon living in Virbank City.
“The Virbank one sounds fun,” Ignis suggested.
“For once, I agree with you,” I said.
“I was hoping you guys would pick that,” Kaiser selected the quest. It sent us a receipt saying it had to be approved by our Headmaster. When you choose a quest, it has to be accepted by your Headmaster. We all looked at each other with a nervous look. The ORB screen showed the quest was accepted. There was a note from Headmaster Ice ‘A plane will take you to Virbank City. I bought the three of you tickets. The bus taking you to Mistralton airport will be arriving in the next two hours. Make sure to pack your bags accordingly. Safe travels,’ We’re doing this alone.
“Seems like we’re really on our own on this one,” Kaiser got up from the bench. “Let’s get ready for our first adventure,” Kaiser led us back to the dorms to prepare for our first quest.

Action: I’m unsure if there will be only one more chapter or two for this arc, but we will find out.
Kaiser: We’re getting our own special team chapter.
Ignis: I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited.
Ark: This will be great for the three of us.
Action: I agree.
Sea: Don’t forget to fav, follow, and review.
Action: We’ll see you next week.
Kaiser, Ark & Ignis: Bye!
