[Sissel is sat on the sofa in the living room of the Mad Tea Party’s house later that day, empty. The room is significantly darker, but a lamp has been turned on in the corner. He’s focused on his notebook, scribbling lines through certain words. He’s taking deep breaths.]
Liv: What is that thing then?
[Sissel looks up, surprised.]
Sissel: [surprised] Um… just a notebook. Where’s Vince?
Liv: I told him to go, I wanted to talk to you a bit.
[Sissel nods slowly, taking a deep breath. Liv sits down next to Sissel, both not making eye contact.]
Sissel: [tired] It feels like I’m going in circles right now. The White Rabbit wants to kill us except that it looks like now he doesn’t want to kill us. He also has a sidekick who tried to kill Vincent called the March Hare but, again, apparently we’re not meant to die. We have a purpose? That makes sense…
Liv: [annoyed] Can we talk please?
Sissel: [tired] Sure, just… I have too many questions, I have to deal with-
Liv: [annoyed] I hate you.
[Sissel turns and looks at Liv for a second.]
Sissel: [surprised] Well… You have good reason.
Liv: [annoyed] Very good reason.
[Sissel nods, quickly turning back to his book.]
Liv: [annoyed] Because, to remind you, you blamed me for her death. Which pissed me off.
Sissel: Rightly so.
Liv: [annoyed] Definitely.
[Liv turns to properly face Sissel, still keeping his head down at the book.]
Liv: [annoyed] And I know that maybe I didn’t have the best relationship with Tracey or with you-
Sissel: You are spying on me. To be fair. With my mum.
Liv: [surprised] What?
Sissel: “Olivia C” on my mum’s phone, it took a while to think about but it makes sense to be you. You’re the only Olivia my mum has probably ever met. Bit weird.
Liv: [annoyed] Are you trying to change the subject?
Sissel: No, I’m trying to-
Liv: [annoyed] Because I’m kinda trying to vent here-
Sissel: I’m trying to say thank you.
[Sissel turns, gives an awkward smile, then back at his book.]
Sissel: [upset] You… I don’t deserve people like you.
[Liv sighs.]
Liv: [annoyed] Nah, you don’t.
[Liv leans back on the chair, looking at the ceiling.]
Liv: [annoyed] I came to vent and now I just feel like crap.
Sissel: Don’t worry, I’ve felt like crap for two months.
[Sissel puts the book to his side.]

Sissel: Can I give a sorta theory?
Liv: [annoyed] Fuck it, why not.
Sissel: I think… I think that Tracey… if she hadn’t died, then she’d be in the same situation as us. With the…
Liv: [annoyed] Being “superheroes”.
Sissel: [upset] Yeah. And I think that it would’ve gotten her killed.
[Liv looks at him, frowning.]
Liv: [annoyed] What?
Sissel: [upset] I think that things are meant to happen… we don’t have a choice or else it’d just get all Final Destination. I think that… we’re meant to have these powers, meant to do something against the White Rabbit and…
[Sissel looks forward, seeing Tracey on the other side of the room. She’s staring at the two of them, frowning.]
Sissel: [upset] Well you get the point.
Liv: You still want to save her?
Sissel: [upset] She’s my best friend next to you and Vince.
[Sissel looks back at his book, quickly scribbling.]
Sissel: Maybe she’d make me a good person.
[Liv sighs.]
Liv: I want you to tell me something with complete honesty.
Sissel: [hesitant] Okay.
Liv: Do you have a power too?
[Sissel quickly looks to Liv.]
Sissel: [surprised] What? What do you mean?
Liv: [annoyed] You know what I mean. You were struck by lightning too, you’ve been talking to yourself at home and with us. Your mum says that you’ve been quiet. Chelsea and Leigh said that you had a fit and were mumbling to yourself after, Vince told me that you’ve never had a fit or “imaginary friends”-
Sissel: [defensive] Not true! I had an imaginary twin called-
Liv: [annoyed, loud] Sissel!
[Liv stops herself, taking a deep breath.]
Liv: [faux-calm] Sissel, do you or do you not have a power?
[Sissel takes a few deep breaths, looking at Liv.]
Sissel: [forceful] No. I do not.
Liv: [faux-calm] Do you promise?
Sissel: [calm] On my heart.
[Liv gets up from the sofa.]
Liv: If you’re lying to me, I’m going to punch you.
Sissel: Your power means that you’ll just hurt yourself.
[Sissel looks up and chuckles to Liv.]
Liv: Yeah… doesn’t mean I won’t.
[Liv turns to leave the house.]
Liv: I’ll see you around, Sissel.
Sissel: Bye Liv.
[Liv leaves the house, closing the door behind her. Sissel looks up to see Tracey. Tracey is about to speak when Goldberg materializes next to her.]
Goldberg: Excuse me?
[Both turn to his attention.]
Goldberg: Sorry to interrupt but… it’s time for us to move on.
