[Chelsea and Liv quickly run back into the living room and into the rest of the team, all immediately having their attention drawn to the two.]
Liv: [panicking] Rabbit!
[The group quickly turn over to the door (Gary moves to the back, Sissel moves off his chair and picks it up as a weapon towards the doorway while Vince and Leigh move in front of Hyde). The White Rabbit very slowly enters the room, hands in the air while holding the shard of glass.]
White Rabbit: I come in peace.
Leigh: You are holding a knife.
[The Rabbit looks at the shard in his hand, chuckling.]
White Rabbit: In my defence, this is a piece of glass.
Sissel: [panicking] Are you here to kill us?
White Rabbit: [quickly] No. Not at all.
Liv: [panicking] He has a weapon!
[The Rabbit looks to Vince, sighing.]
White Rabbit: Are they always like this?
Vince: [defensive] It helps if you don’t have a weapon.
[The Rabbit lets go of the shard, falling down to the floor but stopping mid air. The shard slowly floats over to Vince, making the Rabbit chuckle.]
White Rabbit: [curious] I see… you’re a copycat… a mockery.
Liv: [panicking] What do you want?
[The Rabbit lowers his arms, putting them behind his back.]
White Rabbit: Firstly I’d like that chair.
[The group look confused. He groans.]
White Rabbit: [annoyed] The chair currently pointed at me.
[Sissel realises, panics a bit then chucks it to him. The Rabbit quickly catches it, spins it behind him and sits down.]
White Rabbit: There, thank you. Now… I want Hyde.
Hyde: [panicking] What? No! Don’t!
White Rabbit: [annoyed] I’m not asking you, I’m asking them!
[The Rabbit looks over at the group. He crosses his legs in the chair, looking at them expectantly.]
White Rabbit: [expectantly] Well? And can you all try to remain calm this time, it’s getting annoying.
[Vince very slowly steps forward, the Rabbit quickly bringing his attention to him.]
Vince: [serious] What are you going to do?
White Rabbit: Smart question. I’m going to take him and… reassess our deal.
Sissel: [concerned] Are you going to kill him?
[The Rabbit slowly looks over at Sissel.]
White Rabbit: I’m going to punish him appropriately, not kill him.
Sissel: [concerned] But you killed Richard.
White Rabbit: [defensive] I killed Dick because he betrayed our team. He lied to me for years, protected the people that ruined our lives.
[The Rabbit starts looking over the group.]
White Rabbit: [defensive] He protected the men who held a gun to your heads and threw you all into the same life that myself and my… colleagues have been in for years now.
[Leigh looks at the Rabbit confused.]
White Rabbit: [defensive] Why do you even care? He hit your lady friend with a car and then ran away. Don’t try and tell me you didn’t try the same thing.
[Liv looks at Sissel, worried. Sissel looks at the Rabbit, then sighs.]
White Rabbit: In a way, Mr Hyde over there could be the very same. He worked for me because we made him a good deal. Who’s to say that he won’t turn against you at any moment? Because this is the world you live in now, trust no one. Especially not men like him. Now then… how about we go and let me do my business?
Hyde: [panicking] No! No you cannot! Do not let him!
White Rabbit: [annoyed] Will someone fucking shut him up?
[Sissel quickly rips a page out of his notebook, crumbles it into a ball and shoves it into Hyde’s mouth. Chelsea steps forward, the Rabbit quickly looking at her.]
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
White Rabbit: God, I’ve got a crowd, I hate a crowd.
Chelsea: [angry] You’re gonna kill us, aren’t you?
White Rabbit: [defensive] No, no, not you. Why would I kill you? You’re all far too...
[The White Rabbit stops himself, chuckles and gets to his feet.]
White Rabbit: [chuckling] Know what? This was a waste of time. I’ll just take him off your hands.
[The White Rabbit quickly lunges towards Hyde. The team panic, Leigh initially throwing a chair towards the Rabbit that it dodges. Vince quickly manages to tackle the Rabbit into a wall, both starting to turn reflective.]
Vince: [angry] We’re gonna have a talk, asshole.
[The two quickly vanish from the room, the group left alone and quickly swarming around Hyde. Leigh pulls the paper out from Hyde’s mouth.]
Hyde: [terrified] Oh fuck! Fuck, Jesus fuck!
Leigh: [annoyed] Shut up!
[Gary quickly moves in front of the group and stands in front of Hyde.]
Gary: [panicking] Okay then, quick plan, we’re gonna just kinda… let you go.
Hyde: [angry, shouting] Then what was the point in tying me up!
[Gary moves and punches Hyde in the face.]
Gary: [shouting] Shut up, we’re going to save you! [normal] That felt kinda good, also, my hand hurts…
[In the reflection, Vince and the White Rabbit are staring at each other across the room. The voices of the group are muffled.]
Vince: Your girlfriend tried to shoot me. You think we’re going to trust anything from your little “show of peace”?
White Rabbit: March. And Sister. Don’t worry, I’ll sort her out. She’s still very new to this whole thing, she only appeared a few years ago so I’m trying to adjust-
Vince: [interrupting] Are you going to try and kill us?
[The Rabbit stays silent.]
Vince: [angry] I’ve already lost a good friend, I don’t want to lose more so answer the question. Are you going to kill us?
White Rabbit: I have a limit that can be reached if you all continue down this path you appear to have chosen. Although… [hesitant] I will make acceptions for those that I think need it.
[Vince gives a smug grin.]
Vince: [excited] Gotcha.
White Rabbit: [confused] Excuse me?
Vince: [excited] Why make acceptions? See, you’d think it was the child killing part that’d make you a little hesitant to kill us but those two that threatened my cousin, you did not hold back on choking them out… Here’s my theory, I think you know us. Somehow.
[Vince starts chuckling. In the background, Hyde is being pushed out of the house.]
Vince: [excited] I wonder how long it’ll take before we figure out who. Oh, man, you’re fucked when we do. You’re gonna go to Hell and back once we got it figured out.
White Rabbit: [forceful] I would greatly consider rethinking that statement.
Vince: [excited] Nah, I’m good. Thing is it’s six against two, three against one, that’s pretty good odds for us if you’re asking me.
White Rabbit: [forceful] Vincent… think about what you’re saying very carefully.
[Vince scoffs.]
Vince: [excited] How do you know my name?
[Vince quickly turns reflective again and shatters, returning to the normal world. The White Rabbit sighs as Vincent turns and starts talking to the group again, muffled. He watches intensely as the group start to quietly argue with themselves. He removes his mask and rubs his face, groaning.]
