Aurelius did a flourish with his hand and revealed a simple looking black ring in between his fingers. Drawing brightened eyes from Jacob and Riley, Aurelius than began speaking.
“It is a portable storage space, I found the broadswords within amongst other things. Take a step back and I will bring them out.” Both Jacob and Riley took a few quick steps back after Aurelius finished speaking.
First came the two broadswords Aurelius and his opponent used, one bloodied from tip to guard and another chipped beyond belief. Next came the skulls and bones, there were remains of vaguely humanoid skulls. Some had a hole in the middle of the fore head, others had rough nubs around their skulls but none were fully human.
Even then Riley’s face turned to one of disgust when the skulls came out, Jacob also had a look of aversion. But more came items came out from the ring, bringing their attention away from those dreadful stuff. Jars materialised on the ground from thin air, there were no covers allowing the contents to be easily seen and the contents made Jacob and Riley mouth water. Even Aurelius had a wide smile on his face when he willed the jars out.
It was the honey-like liquid that Brian managed to procure just recently and there were 8 jars full of them just waiting to be eaten. Even the smell wafting from the liquid was beckoning to be tasted in as is condition. All three kept their hands from reaching out for the jars, as Aurelius brought out more items. The rest of the items were an assortment, the important item amongst the bunch were crystals that looked like essence were swirling within it was an uneven amount of crystals from what Aurelius said too, so equal distribution would be difficult.
From what Jacob had heard from the Suzerain it was the most used currency within the universe controlled by the System. It can be used to strenghten the core and also be used for leveling up albeit slower than fresh kills.
While Jacob was slightly interested in getting more powerful but the amount of essence crystal divided by 4 or even 3 would not provide that much of a boost, he was more enthused by the jars of honey-like liquid ready for delightful consumption. The trio agreed to wait for Brian before deciding on allocating the spoils, the trio spent the time waiting for Brian to wake up fruitfully. By sorting through the contents of the storage ring and storing the dragonoid corpse in it, once they got to the tail end of sorting. Brian was awaken by the sounds of iron, bronze and stone colliding with each other.

Brian still thinking that the challenge was still ongoing looked around and saw Jacob, Aurelius and Riley chucking stuff away into a big pile of assorted items. Brian confused by the situation shouted at the three while he was rubbing his bald head.
“HEY GUYS! What's happening!?” All three turned to look at Brian as Riley replied immediately with her usual pep.
“We killed all of them and sorting through the loot now! Come over here and help!” Brian still feeling slight confusion walked towards the three, all the while he was smelling something familiar but he could not properly place the scent until he got to the trio and saw gleaming honey-like liquid in jars placed neatly in 2 rows.
“Wow where did you all find the honey from we are gonna be eating well for the last day.” Brian said with obvious glee in his tone.
“It’s part of the loot inside the storage ring that the dragonoid had before Aurelius and Jacob killed him.” Brian looked surprised by the news and looked around nodding along.
“We are nearing the end of the sorting after that we will started discussing how to allocate the loot. Come and speed up the process.” Jacob said while he threw away a bone into the increasingly bigger pile.
After a few minutes along with the added help of Brian, the group managed to separate what looked like valuables and what was not. Even the storage ring with the dragonoid corpse inside had been placed for distribution. The group stood there for a few tense seconds as they looked at each other before everyone heard Aurelius took an audible deep breath in before he spoke.
“I will get the ball rolling so to speak, we have a few valuable items here. There are a few with even numbers but that would screw the balance for the odd items too if we decide to split the even items, evenly. So I propose a plan, we go in turns. When it comes to our turn, we will choose one object and this goes until everything except for the storage ring has been chosen. For the storage ring, we can have a simple game of rock-paper-scissors? Unless you all wanna fight for it that is.”
Jacob gave the matter some thought, equal distribution was not possible after all and Jacob was sure there are similar items to the storage ring in the future so he nodded and voiced his consent for the plan. He was also planning to look through the giant pile after this to see if anything else was missed out by the rest. Riley and Brian accepted too soon after Jacob.
So Jacob ended up with 20 essence crystal, 3 jars of the honey-like liquid that he shall refer to as golden honey from now on, 2 vambrace for each of his arm and ill-fitting shoes for his last pick. The rest also found some armour for themselves, Aurelius chose a form fitting silver chest guard along with a bronze shoulder guard for himself, making him look even more majestic than usual. Riley chose a set of tanned leather gloves for herself and Brian had on his head a soft looking cap which covers his head nicely.
Jacob set off to dig at the discarded pile of items to see if he can find something the others missed, while the others began looking for objects to aid in their sleep as they all felt tired to the bone and their hunger can be staved off easily with the golden honey they have in their possession. The night passed into day with everyone enjoying the taste of golden honey and full sleep due to the initiation of the safe zone, this time they tested the rules of the safe zone with each other by throwing some punches that was blocked immediately by a light gray screen that appeared immediately in front of the fist before any punch made contact.
