Don't Stop Running

Don't Stop Running

With a bluer vision he opened his eyes and looked slowly at his surroundings, he saw himself in a totally white room about 150 feet with hospital equipment, so I am in a hospital he told him self, the first thing that came to his mind was there is no window in the room, why there is no window in the room most of the hospital rooms are with window except ECU or the operation rooms.

He tired to move and instantly felt a strong pain in his head then it hit him the accident, the pick up truck, the two men talking by his side and the last sentence that he heard (grab him and but him with others, so I have been kidnapped that is what came to his mind and checked if he can move his hands, and surprisingly he was not tide to by any thing his hands and legs were free to move, but unfortunately he couldn't move any muscle of his body from the pain that he was feeling.

He tried calling out for someone, but his voice didn't go anywhere, and there was no audible sound coming from him.

The door opened and a young girl wearing what looked like a nurse's dress came into the room, looked at him, and without any smile, as expected from nurses, or any expression on her face, she said, "You are a wake." That is good. I will call the doctor for you.

With a low voice, he asked where am I. She looked at him with a blank eye and said, "The doctor will come and he will tell you."

Being a detective and in the police force for almost ten years, he felt that there was something wrong with this situation. In fact, he was sure of that, but as long as he didn’t have any control over his body, he couldn't move or even call for help. He didn't know where he is and why he was here.

Apparently, if who ever took him wanted him dead, he would have been dead, but they wanted him alive and obviously they drugged him that is why he couldn't move.

The pain was unbearable for Nema, and it was hard for her to talk, but still, her mind was racing to find out what happened to her husband. The doctor didn't give her any information, which made her worry more.

She tried to recall what had happened, but her mind was unable to recall the entire event. Did she pass out, or did something happen to her that caused her to lose consciousness? In a faded memory or in something that looks like a night mare, or some kind of a dream, she thinks she saw two men come into her room while she was on the phone with 911, but the memory couldn't help her. The strange thing is that why can't she move her body? Is that really the effect of the coma, as the doctor says.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

The pain was getting stronger and stronger and she was on the verge of screaming from the pain when the nurse came into the room with a needle in her hand without a word or even looking at her.

The nurse said, "this is for the pain and the doctor will come to see you in a while." With a faint voice and weakness, she asked the nurse "please tell me about my husband." Is he OK? " Is he here? With the same attitude, the nurse said, "The doctor will come to see you in a little bit." Her heart sank deep, and the tears filled her eyes. Is he dead? "Please tell me," she asked the nurse. With a quick glance, the nurse shook her head and started leaving the room.

Profusely, the tears fall from her eyes. She has no doubt in her mind that her husband is dead. It didn't take long for the doctor to come in, and with what appeared to be a smile, he asked, "How are you feeling now?" She asked, "Is my husband dead? He said,

"I don’t know, but I don’t think so."

What happened? Is he OK then?

We have no idea.

Is he here? Is he injured? she asked without waiting for his answer.

He is missing and the police are looking for him. Don’t worry, as soon as I get any news, I will tell you, definitely, but now you need to rest.

Can you tell me what happened? Doctor I can’t remember anything.

Once you get good rest and the medicine takes place, your memory will come back to you. Don’t worry, there were two men in our house are they caught.

All I know is that you were brought here by ambulance alone and severely injured.

For how long have I been in a coma?

More questions. You need to take a rest. I will come and check on you later on.

Then he left the room, as if he was in

a hurry and didn’t want to answer any more questions. She started feeling less pain now since the nurse gave her the injection, but still couldn't move like she had been glued to the bed. She stared, thinking she had been in a coma for three days and no one had come to see her. Where was her family? Her mother would have been standing by the door right now, but no one told her so far. That is strange. She would know. Someone must have told her, the police, the neighbors, and she would have been here by now.

She closed her eyes and the vision of the attack came straight to her mind, but now a little bit clearer than before. The screaming she heard coming down the stairs from her husband was the last sound of him that she heard and sounded like an angry scream, not with pain. There was something else, some other sound at the same time, but the other sound was not his and she could not make out what was it.
