Destiny and the destination

Part 3

Everyone was looking at me, wondering about the way I analyzed the situation. I couldn't really tell what was going through their minds; all I noticed was the way they were staring at me. The first one to react to what I said was Ajbadan, who broke the silence and said, "I actually agree with Amran's point of view, also, there is no guarantee what we will encounter if we go in any other direction." He paused at the point like he was contemplating something else, then he said, addressing me and Azmar, "You two stay behind us; we will protect you." Worries appeared on his face when he said that.

Actually, we have weapons." I said that my assumption that Azmar has weapons was also based on what I saw on my status screen, I was sure of it; in fact, the only thing that I was not sure of was whether I was able to use the weapons that I have. On second thought, since it was a skill, it should be implanted in me so I know for a fact I will be able to use it. Here another question comes up, which is: will I be able to kill someone?.

All those thoughts were roaming in my head for a second when I heard Ajbadan asking, "What do you mean you have weapons?" Obviously, the question was addressed to me, but before I opened my mouth to answer, Azmar lifted his hand, and, out of nowhere visible to the naked eye, a weapon ten inches long shaped like a gun appeared in his hand. At the same time, both Raco and Ajbadan said, "You have spatial storage?" In a nonchalant way, he answered and said, "Yes, we both do." Ajbadan tried his best to control his surprise, although it was visible for a fraction of a second, and he said, "We will discuss that later, but now we have to move, and by the way, do you know how to use that gun?" Azmar looked at the gun in his hand for a second and said, "Yes, I can use it." Then he looked at me since I didn't take out any weapons and I am the one who said we do have weapons, so obviously he expected me to take out mine, so there was no need for him to ask any questions, so I said "Don't worry about me, I will when the time is right".

"Then, let's go." Ajbadan said that and started to move, "Raco, keep the Rearguard for now, and remember our first priority is to protect our guests, we will not attack unless we are attacked first. Is that clear?" It was the same formation that we have been doing so far, and nothing changed. "Yes, sir, it's clear." Raco answered him, and we all started walking towards where the bigger fight was going on. Little did they know that this decision would change their lives forever. Actually, they were the only ones who had a real choice, but they didn't know that. None of us knew what was going to happen.

on another continent in the capital city of Androdiya.

Shock and surprise were showing on Natasha's face, and she froze at her location for a moment after Amun suddenly disappeared in front of her, not more than a meter suppurating them, which caused her to freeze in her place.

Since someone disappearing suddenly is not something common, although there is nothing common regarding the woman who had just disappeared, it's not common at all; on the contrary, it's strange enough that the whole thing would seem impossible and unbelievable, but unfortunately she was the one who was experiencing it.

No one heard of an alien from another world visiting their planet, and no one would be able to disappear the way she suddenly appeared in their city unless that person was going through a dimensional doorway or portal, and there was none of that in front of the building entrance.

Immediately, she went inside the building and gave an order to the receptionist to track down Amun's whereabouts. One of the functions among many others of an ID card was the option of tracking that person, which is not something done frequently or for no reason, but mostly if there is any criminal or suspicious activity, and also for safety purposes in case someone has to visit any of the other human countries. Only in such cases can the ID be accessed and monitored, which was something that she personally didn't like.

But it was a blessing at the moment. As soon as she entered her office and turned on her office computer, the receptionist came in and told her, "There is some type of interference with her signal, and we are unable to pinpoint her location, but..."

The receptionist hesitated for a moment, then Natasha asked her, "But what?" The receptionist decided to say it anyway, not knowing what her words would sound like, and said, "She is somewhere in the Magu Forest."

Nothing could surprise Natasha at that time since a lot of strange occurrence were happening until now, but this piece of information was on a different level for one simple reason: there was no technology available in this world that she was aware of capable of transporting and transferring someone that distance at once, so it was more surprising than the disappearance of Amun. "Did I hear you correctly?" Did you say the Magu Forest? Natasha asked, trying to confirm what she heard was accurate, and the girl answered, "Yes, but the signal is jumping all over and we can't pinpoint her exact location."

"I understood what you just said, how can that be accurate? We all know there is no dimensional portal open to the Magu Forest."

The receptionist, with a confused expression, said," I thought it may be an equivalent malfunction, so I did the tracking more than ten times and checked the software and the equipment three times."

"Keep on tracking her, and share it with me over my terminal." After she gave the instructions to the receptionist, Natasha started calling her supervisor and informing him about the situation.

Almost six hours passed when she received a call from the head of the agency. As soon as he picked up the call without looking at caller ID, she heard "Agent Natasha, you have been assigned a priority S mission, you will receive the details and objectives shortly." Then he hung up the phone. As soon as she heard the voice of the agency head, she stood up out of habit, still standing and wondering what was going on with what mission, which was none the less a priority S. She received a message, and when she saw it, her eyes were wide open. The message was just like this:

Mission priority: Level S

Mission Summary: Locate and capture the missing alien. Make the necessary arrangements to travel immediately to the Magu Forest.

Mission objective: Bring back the alien, Dead or alive.
